“The staff here is excellent!!!! These guys are always running around doing their best to serve people. I FORGOT you okay it the front so bring cash for a tip. I felt I didnt5 leave as much as I sgould have, I'm sorry. Really awesome and welcoming. Haven't been here since I was a kid. Totally fun for the nostaliga love. The salad bar was awesome, glad to see it open again. Good prices for everything as well. Life you get tons of healthy options here! They still have the cheese toast! That was my treat with the salad. The food is good and simple. Perfect spot for picky eaters, I saw plenty of kids getting food and actually eating it.“

“honestly we were just craving italian and this place popped up. the moment we walked in it smelled so good i knew we were in for something special.

i got the lasagna and it was exactly what i wanted, super cheesy and hearty. my friend had the chicken parm and she said it was perfect even the pasta on the side was cooked right. the service was super friendly too our waiter was patient when we took forever to decide.

we sat outside and it was chill even on a busy night. the whole meal felt like a cozy sunday dinner at someones home.

“Sashimi is a sushi restaurant located at the corner of Lake Forest Drive and Dimension Drive. It appears to be run by a Korean family and is a popular spot among the locals. They have a sushi bar, but we opted to dine at a table. Steve greeted us and was not only friendly and helpful, but his service level enhanced our overall dining experience.

We tried a number of dishes during our visit. Among my favorites were the Veggie Tempura, Salmon Nigiri, Lake Forest Roll (I appreciate that they allow substitutions so I subbed spicy yellowtail in place of the spicy tuna) and Special Carpaccio S. The Spicy Salmon cut roll was nothing special and tasted more like a California Roll. The Yellowtail Cheek was good, but it was more meaty and less tender than I've enjoyed at other Japanese restaurants. My wife ordered the Pink Lady, but I prefer my sushi with rice. All in all, we enjoyed our Sashimi experience and I'd recommend checking it out if you're in Lake Forest and in the mood for raw fish at a reasonable price.“

“Hidden gem for Thai food. The quiet and nondescript building doesn't bear witness to the quality of food served.
Very genuine food and polite servers who aim to please.
We shared the Pad See-Ew with Pork and Yellow Curry with Chicken and rice. We also ordered the rare Mango Sticky Rice.
This is highly recommended but save room for dessert. The meals are hearty and the mango and sticky rice are plentious.
Service is excellent and helpful.
The atmosphere is very authentic with the ongoing elephant theme throughout.“

“This is a solid Vietnamese restaurant in South OC. Everything about it is very traditional, the menu and food would be just the same in Vietnam. Got the Pho Tai and Oxtail Pho. Oxtail was nicely braised, the Pho Tai beef a bit overdone. Broth was good. Get the large for $1 more, the portions are huge.

“Simply Pho is very good! Their Pho broth was flavorful, . We had both the beef broth and the chicken broths. The Vietnamese spring rolls have vermicelli and lettuce wrapped in rice paper, served with homemade sauce—so fresh and addictive. We had the chicken wraps. They also served us a free desert which was like a tapioca style pudding but really sweet!“

My daughter love their shahi paneer and palak paneer with Bhindi and I like their butter chicken to go. That is all happened very frequently up until last 2 weeks. It was also unusual that the rolls fell apart. They gave us two eggs with the oden... The bonito broth tasted exactly like the one from Lawson convenience store, haha. The sake-steamed clams really tasted strongly of sake! The sukiyaki was quite impressive, a huge bowl! The only downside was the lack of a raw egg accompaniment, which felt like something essential was missing“

I have never seen someone take so much pride in your work and be so focused on every detail. I would confidently eat off any table She just cleaned. Maria and the rest of the staff this location is always gracious and accommodating. But I really want to highlight Maria as an exemplar employee.“

“This place brings back a lot of great old memories for me. It’s honestly sad to see how empty it has become these days. The burgers are still just as good as I remember, which says a lot about the consistency over the years.

I really wish the owners would invest in renovating the space and bringing some life back into it. With a little attention to the atmosphere and some stronger marketing, this place could easily become popular again. It has so much potential and history, it would be a shame to see it fade away.

“honestly its one of the best spots in town and i keep coming back like alot, service is quick even when its packed which is every time im here. the broth has that deep richness you cant find everywhere, definately tastes like they put in the work not just tossing a bouillon cube in water. i've probably been like 20 times easily and I still order the same thing because why fix what isnt broken. only thing that bugs me is the parking situation, tommorrow when you come be prepared to hunt for a spot or park way out.

but the noodles and the meat portions are always on point so thats what matters in the end. like I said four stars because I love it but that parking lot stress keeps it from being perfect for me“

“I ordered for take out twice in two days. The tomato and brisket noodle soup was a bit sweet but tasty. I like that noodles were chewy just about the right texture. The brown sugar sticky rice dessert was crunchy on the outside and soft inside, which was great. I came back to order more food the second morning when it just opened. The cashier wasn’t there. The kitchen staff came to help me. They were friendly and apologetic and offered us water and extra food while we waited for our order. I liked popcorn chicken. The pan fried pork buns were juicy. Overall, the food and the experience were great. I’d come back to try more food.“

I had the Bonzai Burrito with Asada Beef. It comes with marinated veggies, which adds a unique flavor to the entire burrito.
The salads are also good and quite large.
There wasn't a long line and our order was taken quickly, we did wait a while for the food service but it arrived hot and as ordered.
The atmosphere is lifted with decorations that are unique and festive.
Prices are very affordable and coupons or online discounts are often available. Parking lot is small but there seems to be space near by.“
