“Great restaurant with a small, family feel. The food is amazing, and honestly at a steal of a price; the food is half as expensive and more than twice as delicious as other restaurants I've been to. I had the quatrro formaggio because I noticed gorgonzola on the ingredients list, and I loved every single bite! It was so nice to have a dish that put the gorgonzola flavor front-and-center, and the cream sauce was somehow light while still being packed full of flavor.
My wife had the lasagna, and it's easy to see why it's a favorite here. It cem out with the sauce still bubbling, and once she could dig in she described it as lightly sweet, a welcome change from some overly-acidic dishes at some other places.
The service was also impeccable, the staff was very friendly and welcoming and we felt very well attended-to. We came in about an hour or so before closing so there weren't many other customers, and we got our food impressively quickly.
Another note, if you are staying at any of the nearby hotels (specifically the row of hotels on Lake Center Drive) then this restaurant is extremely close, easily walkable if you want. It would make a convenient, delicious, and good-valued addition to your vacation.“

The salad bar was awesome, glad to see it open again. Good prices for everything as well. Life you get tons of healthy options here! They still have the cheese toast! That was my treat with the salad. The food is good and simple. Perfect spot for picky eaters, I saw plenty of kids getting food and actually eating it.“

“Sashimi is a sushi restaurant located at the corner of Lake Forest Drive and Dimension Drive. It appears to be run by a Korean family and is a popular spot among the locals. They have a sushi bar, but we opted to dine at a table. Steve greeted us and was not only friendly and helpful, but his service level enhanced our overall dining experience.

We tried a number of dishes during our visit. Among my favorites were the Veggie Tempura, Salmon Nigiri, Lake Forest Roll (I appreciate that they allow substitutions so I subbed spicy yellowtail in place of the spicy tuna) and Special Carpaccio S. The Spicy Salmon cut roll was nothing special and tasted more like a California Roll. The Yellowtail Cheek was good, but it was more meaty and less tender than I've enjoyed at other Japanese restaurants. My wife ordered the Pink Lady, but I prefer my sushi with rice. All in all, we enjoyed our Sashimi experience and I'd recommend checking it out if you're in Lake Forest and in the mood for raw fish at a reasonable price.“

“I had an outstanding experience at DonerG, where they beautifully blend the authentic flavors of Turkish cuisine with vibrant Mediterranean and Middle Eastern influences. I opted for the Original Fladenbrot sandwich with beef, and added chicken as well. Both meats were incredibly well-seasoned, tender, and bursting with flavor. You can truly appreciate the freshness and quality of the ingredients in every bite. The ambiance of the restaurant was welcoming and warm, making it an ideal spot whether you're grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a meal with a larger group. The only downside was the lack of a raw egg accompaniment, which felt like something essential was missing“

“This is a solid Vietnamese restaurant in South OC. Everything about it is very traditional, the menu and food would be just the same in Vietnam. Got the Pho Tai and Oxtail Pho. Oxtail was nicely braised, the Pho Tai beef a bit overdone. Broth was good. Get the large for $1 more, the portions are huge.

“Hidden gem for Thai food. The quiet and nondescript building doesn't bear witness to the quality of food served.
Very genuine food and polite servers who aim to please.
We shared the Pad See-Ew with Pork and Yellow Curry with Chicken and rice. We also ordered the rare Mango Sticky Rice.
This is highly recommended but save room for dessert. The meals are hearty and the mango and sticky rice are plentious.
Service is excellent and helpful.
The atmosphere is very authentic with the ongoing elephant theme throughout.“

“Forgot how flavorful the food is here. It has been a little while since visiting Wahoo's since my go-to is not a fish taco.
I had the Bonzai Burrito with Asada Beef. It comes with marinated veggies, which adds a unique flavor to the entire burrito.
The salads are also good and quite large.
There wasn't a long line and our order was taken quickly, we did wait a while for the food service but it arrived hot and as ordered.
The atmosphere is lifted with decorations that are unique and festive.
Prices are very affordable and coupons or online discounts are often available. Parking lot is small but there seems to be space near by.“

“One of the most authentic and yummy XLB places. The waitlist can be a bit long during peak hours, but their system takes care of it. Services are fine too, just sometimes a bit monotone as they are very focused on their tasks. Simple and clean environment while we can also buy togo frozen XLB to steam at home. We have been coming here for the delicious food for a few years but in small groups so we wanted to share the experience with whole family when they were in town. The Vietnamese spring rolls have vermicelli and lettuce wrapped in rice paper, served with homemade sauce—so fresh and addictive. We had the chicken wraps. The cooks were working together to get meals out timely and the front counter crew were restocking, taking orders, and neatly plating the food. My partner and I watched in awe. “honestly its one of the best spots in town and i keep coming back like alot, service is quick even when its packed which is every time im here. the broth has that deep richness you cant find everywhere, definately tastes like they put in the work not just tossing a bouillon cube in water. i've probably been like 20 times easily and I still order the same thing because why fix what isnt broken. only thing that bugs me is the parking situation, tommorrow when you come be prepared to hunt for a spot or park way out.

but the noodles and the meat portions are always on point so thats what matters in the end. like I said four stars because I love it but that parking lot stress keeps it from being perfect for me“

I ordered online about a week ago and requested that the bun be extra extra toasted (I love the toasted french bread here). To my dismay, the bread was completely soft and soggy (not toasted at all!). I was so disappointed as this was my first time ordering from this location. I decided to come back and give it another shot! I was welcomed by Eli, and they were so incredibly helpful!! They listened to my complaint about my last order and offered to remake my sandwich with a big smile :) I was almost ready to skip this location for my future orders but Eli was absolutely amazing. He apologized for the past order and did everything to ensure my current sandwich (which he offered me as a replacement) was beyond excellence. Amazing human being and representative of Ikes Sandwiches!!“

I really appreciated that Plern offers a vegetarian pad see ew with tofu—I personally don’t like seafood and fish sauces in noodles and other dishes.
