Based on the reviews, Thanh Binh is a solid Vietnamese restaurant in South OC. The food is delicious and refreshing. The menu and food are very traditional, just the same as in Vietnam. Specific meals mentioned include Oxtail Pho, which is so good with a generous portion of oxtail that is nicely braised, and the wings are PHENOM. The Pho Tai beef was a bit overdone, but the broth is good. The all meat fried rice, calamari rings, and oxtail soup always hit the spot. The portions are huge, so get the large for $1 more. The servers are attentive and the service is always great, with friendly workers who check on every empty plate. The place isn't fancy, and the furniture is humble, but it is not dirty, and the ambience is homey. There is a reason this place has been here for years and is still always busy. It is open on Xmas Eve.
