“Food is absolutely delicious. My first time here I'm staying in the nearby hotel the beef satay, and the chicken satay are out of this world. The pate was a little different, but very taste didn't have peanuts and it was premixed.“
“We had the grilled pork jowl salad and the beef shanks panaeng stew. The food tasted great, the flavor was intense. We enjoyed both entrees very much. The waitress was friendly and helpful. Two things we didn't like though: 1) the food came out very slowly. I didn't time it, but it was long enough for us to keep wondering if they've forgotten us. But we looked around and noticed that other patrons didn't have their food either. Then after my wife's entrée came out, we still had to wait for some time for my entrée to come out. If my wife had started eating right when her entree came out, she would've finished by the time my entree came out. 2) No public restroom.“
“I have dined in and taken out many times. My husband and I have drastically different taste profiles, but we both love Spice Thai. I get the chicken fried chicken and egg rolls and my husband gets the Thai basil and green curry. We have tried numerous other places and always come back “
“Really good spot! Ordered pad Thai and a tofu dish which tasted great. Yes they still serve on paper plates but the owner said they continued that practice from Covid times but that doesn’t bother me at all. Easier clean up for them I’m sure. It’s nice to support a local place where you can tell the owner is doing their best in harder times! Would come here again.“
“One of our family's favorites. We love to start the meal with a glass noodle soup hot pot. Fun for the kids. The interior is pleasant, and a relaxing, intimate vibe. The owner is a sweet woman who welcomes us each time. Sometimes we ditch the kids and have a date here too. We've tried probably half of their chicken and beef dishes in the Chinese menu and they all hit. On the Thai side, satay skewers and the curries are yummy. Delicious, good portions, and much better value than spending the same money at a chain restaurant.“
“Free Thai Iced tea with a Yelp check-in. I ate here recently and it has been 10 years since I had eaten here. I think it had a different name back then. I ordered Crying Tiger and Chicken Satay Skewers and my work colleague had Pad See Ew. We both liked our food and the service was friendly. I will be back sooner next time! Four stars!“
“Been going to Starfish since they opened. All the items on the menu are excellent. My favorites are the wet Ribs, Pho, Korean Tacos and the spicy ahi tuna roll. You cant go wrong with the veggie curry but add chicken if you want protein. Check out their happy hour too called Opium Hour at the bar. A good selection of happy hour bites, beer and wine.“
“Been seeing this all over social media and it's decent! The line was about an hour on a Saturaday at 5:30, so definitely get here as early as possible. I recommend getting onto the Yelp wait list ASAP. The plaza is pretty small with limited parking but it shouldn't be an issue if you're early- the ambiance is super colorful and cute. We tried the Pad Thai and the Green curry. The pad thai wasn't as saucy as we thought it would be and wasn't as flavorful as we would've expected. However, the green curry w/ roti was solid! Definitely flavor packed and the right balance of spice. Not sure if it's possible, but would recommend subbing roti with rice since rice is an extra 4$.“
“This place is hands down AWESOME!The sushi is so delicious, we had the Bangkok, Salmon Lemon, Dragon, Kitajima, Philladelfia and the Alaska roll, all ingredients tasted so fresh. My hubby I are oversized and was very surprised that their sitting was very accommodating for peeps our size and very comfortable. The atmosphere is very chill with dim lighting and quite and the staff are very polite and attentive. We will definitely be coming back to this awesome place.“
“Delicious! The chicken (we got the thigh only option for the classic) was very moist and the rice was cooked perfectly. We wish it had more hints of ginger and garlic, but as is, still good. The sauces provided all compliment the chicken very well. The Hat Yai chicken is also crispy and worth a try.“
“Clean, healthy packaging(no foil or styrofoam.)food is fresh and delicious. Price is very reasonable and I picked up my order within 13 minutes of ordering. Now enjoying and reviewing at the same time as I couldn’t wait! ? very pleased to have this restaurant 5 minutes away from home.“
“The best Thai food I've ever had! Everything I order is delicious. I love the Tom Gai soup, duck curry, and prawns. Also, the owner and staff are so much fun. I never sing karaoke, but they were celebrating a birthday and I tried it... Such a blast! Must visit restaurant in Mission Viejo for great food and atmosphere.“
“What a surprise! I didn’t realize Tuk Tuk was down the street. I discovered them on Google Maps and ordered chicken pad Thai. It is one of the best pad Thai in town, hands down. The price is right, too! I’ll be ordering from here again for sure.“
“I've been going here for 13 yearsThe quality of food and service has never taken a dip in that time.As long as they are around they will always be a staple in my culinary Rolodex -Kid-friendliness: The staff all love my two boys - They will always bring a little something for them out if They get restless while waiting for the food ?“
“Our friends rave about this place so we decided to check it out. It was empty around 2pm on Monday. Service is quick and the portions are easily shareable. The water tasted like cucumbers. The yellow curry was chicken with a side of curry. Very yummy and spicy even though it was mild. The potatoes and carrots were perfectly cooked as well. Rice also comes with the curry. The pad see ew was so flavorful and savory. The beef was too meaty for my liking but nonetheless we still enjoyed it. They also give you spices upon request. I'll definitely go back to try their pad thai.“
“I’m so happy discovering this super yummy Thai restaurant. They decorate the dishes so beautifully with fresh flowers. They also make their food fresh with no MSG.Highlights of the menu:1. Thai tea sunset2. Chaiyo chicken - specialty dish3. Thai fish cake4. Coconut shrimp5. Grilled shrimp salad6. Tom yum - lemongrass and lime broth7. Pad see ew - sweet black bean and large rice noodles8. Roasted duck in red curryAmazing service, super quick and friendly.“
“I can't speak for the rest of the food but I really enjoyed the Tom Kha Soup and with Shrimp. The broth was lemony and full of flavor. There was a good amount of shrimp in the soup. I've done carry out both times I've been there and the service was friendly.“
“Thai food at its finest. It's one of my go to places in the area! - Pad Se-iew | Sweet & savory. Flat noodles are soft and fun to chew on. Firm broccoli balances the textures and adds mild, earthy flavors. Highly recommend. - Pad Thai | I would never think adding peanuts would do anything, but in this dish, it's everything. Noodles are thinner and more dense than Pad Se-iew noodles. The sweet & savory theme is here as well. - BBQ Chicken | Crispy skin, somewhat dry depending on the cut. Honey plum sauce is addicting. The side of rice is perfectly sticky. - Thai Fried Rice | Added tofu which was soft with crispy edges. Love the mixture of vegetables.“
“This is my favorite Thai restaurant by far! Their Siam station fried rice is absolutely delicious!!! The rice has so much flavor. I like that they have a little bit of seating outside. Their curries are good, you can't really go wrong...“
“Nara Thai Kitchen, nestled in Irvine's serene Portola Parkway neighborhood, promises exquisite Thai fusion cuisine. My anticipation of savoring its flavors had been brewing for some time, yet the steep prices had previously deterred my indulgence.Today, fate intervened, and I joined my husband and a dear colleague for lunch, eager to explore the culinary offerings. Opting for the cashew nut chicken, the panang curry, and the yellow curry, we embarked on a journey of discovery as our taste buds savored each dish. Although the cashew nut chicken arrived with a milder touch than requested due to a minor slip-up, its essence remained intact. The chicken, delicately encased in a light batter, offered a delightful crunch that harmonized with the rich flavors, making every bite a pleasure to savor. The panang chicken curry, though ordered mild, surprised me with its fiery undertones, adding an unexpected kick to the dish. Yet, amidst the heat, the robust flavors of the curry shone through, leaving a lasting impression.Across the table, my friend reveled in the comforting embrace of the yellow curry, its aromatic blend of spices infusing each morsel of potato with a delectable essence. Her satisfaction echoed my own, affirming the culinary prowess of Nara Thai. However, as we reveled in the culinary delights, the reality of the bill sobered our enthusiasm. The bill for lunch at Nara Thai exceeded $100 for just three of us, including an appetizer and beverages. Despite its exceptional dining experiences, the restaurant is more suited for special occasions than casual visits. In conclusion, Nara Thai undoubtedly stands as a beacon of Thai cuisine excellence in Irvine. Its dishes tantalize the palate with flavors that leave a lasting impression. While I'd like to return, the high prices might mean I can only indulge occasionally. Financial constraints could make Nara Thai a place for special occasions rather than a regular hangout.Typically, I wouldn't consider spending $36.67 per person, excluding gratuity, for lunch, but on this occasion, I felt justified in indulging.“
“Pat and her sister do an amazing job running Siamese Express. The food is delicious and the prices are more than fair. My favorite Thai restuarant between Laguna Niguel & Aliso Viejo.Parking: Plenty of free parking close to the restaurant.“
“The papaya salad was amazing. Yummmm! I got spice level 5 and it transported me back to Thailand. Also got yellow curry which was delicate and comforting. Thai basil fried rice was unique in flavor in the best of ways. I would eat here often if I lived here.“
“Pretty good food. I got the beef pad Thai. I got spice level 5. Very peppery. The wait staff is friendly. Turn around is fast even though they get a lot of online orders. The restaurant is small inside and a little rundown. The walls need redone. And the front door doesn’t swing open or closed easily“
“What can I say... one of the best Thai places there is in South County. The place is very inviting and, the service is great, and the food is outstanding. We normally order the Green or Red Curry, or sometime Panang. You can't go wrong ordering the traditional Pad Thai. I am very picky when it comes to Thai Iced Tea, and theirs is on-point. We always comes back whenever we are craving Thai.“
“This place is awesome if you have a hankering for Thai food in the Pasadena area. The place is small with outside seating but the food is incredibly delicious and most of all the prices are very reasonable....The service was quick, the servers were friendly and provide you with menu recommendations. I recommend the green sole fish curry and the pork with sticky rice and the vegetable egg rolls! Thank you Nine & Nine!“
“I am never disappointed here! The vegetables are so fresh and and the portions and prices are very reasonable. I usually order the chicken curry or the Thai basil chicken and I can't get away from these dishes. They are so flavorful and so bountiful have plenty for the next day. The service is quick and friendly, and the place is charming. It's small, but definitely feel like you're in somebody's home.“
“Very good option for Thai food, the taste of the food is very good, the presentation and freshness of the ingredients. They also take care of the atmosphere, music and impeccable treatment of the waitresses, who are very friendly and make sure that nothing is missing. 100% recommended.“
“This is one of the best Thai restaurants I have been to. The Drunken Noodle is always our top priority, SUPER DELICIOUS!!! Because they use FRESH ingredients. Usually, I ask for less oil and they did it. The service is also wonderful!!!The Crying Tiger is yummy.......Ask for medium rare. The Thai sampler is also great !!!.....You can taste many kinds of appetizers in 1 order. The Thai ice tea in this restaurant is the best Thai tea compared to other Thai teas in other places. One more thing, the Angel Wings are super big and inexpensive. We ordered Pineapple fried rice for a friend and he said it's delicious!!!We have been a regular going to this restaurant for more than 10 years with those same orders and never get tired of the food.“
“The servers here never seam friendly. The old servers from years ago definitely were super friendly.I would say "service is not great here" but the food is definitely very good. You will probably get a better experience at the other locations because they're the food and the service will be very good.“
“This is my second favorite Thai restaurant in our town. There's lots of menu items that are very flavorful and well put together. This trip, we had the Penang Curry with chicken, the stuffed chicken wings, egg rolls, and crying tiger. The crying tiger dish came with steak onto of lettuce, a ball of rice and 2 dipping sauces. The steak was a little thinly sliced for my liking, but the flavor was there. The curry dish was fantastic! So much flavor packed into that dish. Highly recommend. The stuffed chicken wings was an interesting dish, but the best thing I've ever eaten, but certainly good and worth trying. Egg rolls are great as well. All in all, the ambiance isn't the best but, the service is good, and for a quick lunch or dinner, you'll leave full, and satisfied.“
“Lots of mixed reviews, but don't knock it 'til you try it :)!Hungry and not wanting to leave the house, I decided to order delivery. Random fact: This is the 2nd time in my life where I've ordered food for delivery (other than pizza). For my food, I ordered their Pad Thai w/ Beef. I've been on a Pad Thai binge since I'm addicted to the flavor and the noodles. The dish normally has a tangy flavor to it which I like, and I also love the thin noodles that are used. How was it?Pad Tai w/ Beef: A warm delivery! So I suppose you can say I ate it while it was fresh. Opted for no bean sprouts or green onions because I don't like them with this dish. The thin noodles and flavor were just what I was looking for and expected. The beef, though there wasn't much, was pretty good. The noodles weren't long strands, they seemed to be cut shorter. I didn't mind this as it made it much easier to eat, and I was definitely not in the mood to twirl my noodles like spaghetti. I requested a medium spice level and it was perfect! The food arrived in a timely manner, no complaints there.I can't speak for the service as I didn't interact with anyone at the restaurant, but maybe next time I'll dine in to find out!“
“I LOVE this place!! I have tried SO MANY things in their menu and have yet to find a dish it don't like. They service is always friendly and the restaurant is always clean. Its a nice place inside, not a cheap looking place like a lot of others places I have seen. Their portion sizes are super generous as well!!Favorites: Thai Bite Sampler, Lemon Chicken, Plah Goong Salad (which comes with the sampler), Pa NangAnd FOR SURE try a Thai Tea while your there. AMAZING!!“
“Craving a tasty hot lunch this is the place. No complaints. Clean restaurant, small but plenty of seating. It gets pretty packed in the afternoon but the service is t lacking. The lady that was serving I think may have been the owner as I seen many people chatting with her. I forgot what I ordered but it was spicy and hit the spot.“
“Nice decent selection of options - had visited with office friends for lunch and overall the food taste was pretty good, the options were amazing and the service was quick. They do have spicy food in case you are looking for it and we had a nice flavorful Thai cuisine.“
“Food and service here are fantastic. Located right on first street before you get to Newport. Parking can be a bit difficult to find if the plaza is busy but there is plenty of parking in the rear, it'll just be a small walk to the restaurant. There's plenty of seating available and is a good size for a family gathering. We ordered online and picked up at the restaurant. Let me start off by saying that the food is good. Plenty of flavor is packed in each bite. We were just disappointed with the portion size of the takeout. Other restaurants had larger portions for about the same price. Definitely good flavor but a bit pricey for the portion for takeout. We will come back and try dining in and see if there's any difference.“
“Calamari and salted egg is the combination I never knew I needed!I’ve always loved the salted egg snacks/chips, as well as calamari in general - so when I saw this appetizer on the menu, it was basically a done deal! What we ordered:• salted egg calamari (with shrimp)• tom kha soup• wagyu beef salad• lump crab fried rice• beef pad see ew• mango sticky rice• Thai tea• strawberry yuzu mocktail• karate punch (pineapple, orange, coconut)We loved everything we ordered. Our favorites being the calamari and fried rice. The calamari comes with two sauces but honestly didn’t think it needed it because I didn’t want it to cover any of the salted egg flavor. The wagyu in the beef salad was great quality meat and the beef pad see ew was yummy. It was my first time trying Tom kha soup and we enjoyed the blend of flavors! The owner told us about some of the mocktails they have and he seemed proud of the Karate punch they created - think of a pina colada with an orange twist. It was all so good!I know for sure I will be back when I’m randomly craving that calamari so will have to try other menu items on the next visit!“
“This has become our local go-to Thai restaurant and we love recommending it to friends. They are always so welcoming to our family, great place to bring kids. We've never gone with more than 5 people, but they have a couple spots where I think you could do a larger group.Everything we've had has been good. Our go-tos are the beef pad see ew and the roasted duck curry.“
