“We visited FAT FISH Sushi today on December 25th (Christmas Day). After calling many places that were closed, we were so glad to find this restaurant open. The place was quiet, with no other guests at the time, but the service was very fast and attentive. The sushi was amazing — fresh, flavorful, and high quality. It was also unusual that the rolls fell apart. They gave us two eggs with the oden... The bonito broth tasted exactly like the one from Lawson convenience store, haha. The sake-steamed clams really tasted strongly of sake! The sukiyaki was quite impressive, a huge bowl! “I want my review to literally reflect the 4.8 currently for this restaurant. The food is good, but with some reservations. First off, the sushi was fresh and tasty. My daughter loves sushi and they did not disappoint. I ordered the Bento box with the beef teriyaki upgrade. The teriyaki was fantastic, definitely home made and had superb flavor. The problem was the meat. It had the distinctive taste that it had been left to marinate in the blood of the meat. Understandable, while it didn't ruin the meal, the taste did give me pause. Everything else, the tempura, salad, and California rolls; were excellent. The service left me puzzled. The young lady at the counter was friendly and helpful. However, it would have been nice to know we could have ordered at our table instead of the counter. Minor quibbles aside, the food is great and the service was excellent. Definitely a place to check out in Laguna Beach.“

“Sashimi is a sushi restaurant located at the corner of Lake Forest Drive and Dimension Drive. It appears to be run by a Korean family and is a popular spot among the locals. They have a sushi bar, but we opted to dine at a table. Steve greeted us and was not only friendly and helpful, but his service level enhanced our overall dining experience.

We tried a number of dishes during our visit. Among my favorites were the Veggie Tempura, Salmon Nigiri, Lake Forest Roll (I appreciate that they allow substitutions so I subbed spicy yellowtail in place of the spicy tuna) and Special Carpaccio S. The Spicy Salmon cut roll was nothing special and tasted more like a California Roll. The Yellowtail Cheek was good, but it was more meaty and less tender than I've enjoyed at other Japanese restaurants. My wife ordered the Pink Lady, but I prefer my sushi with rice. All in all, we enjoyed our Sashimi experience and I'd recommend checking it out if you're in Lake Forest and in the mood for raw fish at a reasonable price.“

“This is definitely one of our consistent go to spots and honestly I am surprised I am just now writing a review for Sake 2 Me Sushi. We have brought multiple friends here over time and everyone always leaves impressed. The all you can eat pricing is actually really solid especially for the quality of fish you get and you truly get a lot. Orders come out fast too usually within five to ten minutes which is honestly impressive. The fish quality really stands out for an AYCE spot especially the spicy tuna salmon and toro. The no rice rolls are my personal favorite because they are just a straight protein overload crab tuna salmon albacore all packed in heavy and generous. Even the regular rolls have a ton of fish and great flavor especially with the sauces they pair them with which definitely pack a punch. Cant go wrong with the gyoza and the spicy garlic edamame is a must every time. The miso soup is also really good creamy light and balanced not watery not too thick just right. We tried a Hawaiian style roll with a crunchy topping and albacore which was amazing and the roll sizes are huge. My wife got a spicy tuna roll with spicy mayo and a teriyaki glaze and she loved it. And the blue toro was honestly a surprise in the best way possible the sashimi cut was generous and the quality was way better than expected for all you can eat. Overall this place is always a win and easily one of our top all you can eat sushi spots. Highly recommend“

After 4 visits with consistently outstanding food quality, we've decided that Lemon & LIfe is our family's go-to. We've tried sashimi, sushi, ramen, appetizers, drinks, mochi dessert - pretty much everything on the menu and not had a disapointing meal yet. The portions of fish are pretty large - shocking actually. For that quality, it's a bargain. If I had one recommendation, it would be to soften the lighting for dinner service and turn the music up a bit just to create more ambiance.“

It's a cute small restaurant bar seating only in a U shape so be prepared for a wait but it's worth it!

Amazing customer service, shout out to (maybe the manager?) I asked if we can take our drink to go and she filled the to go cup partially to make sure we had a full cup to go.

The rolls were amazing, amazing flavors, everything was fresh. The uni toro roll was definitely my favorite. The uni was so delicious, and melts in your mouth.

The only downside if I had to give one is they don't substitute or make modifications based on allergies. I had said I was allergic to shiitake mushrooms because one of the rolls in the high roller set had it, but they can't modify. I still did the high roller and just took out the shiitakes. Other than that everything was great.“
