“Sashimi is a sushi restaurant located at the corner of Lake Forest Drive and Dimension Drive. It appears to be run by a Korean family and is a popular spot among the locals. They have a sushi bar, but we opted to dine at a table. Steve greeted us and was not only friendly and helpful, but his service level enhanced our overall dining experience.
We tried a number of dishes during our visit. Among my favorites were the Veggie Tempura, Salmon Nigiri, Lake Forest Roll (I appreciate that they allow substitutions so I subbed spicy yellowtail in place of the spicy tuna) and Special Carpaccio S. The Spicy Salmon cut roll was nothing special and tasted more like a California Roll. The Yellowtail Cheek was good, but it was more meaty and less tender than I've enjoyed at other Japanese restaurants. My wife ordered the Pink Lady, but I prefer my sushi with rice. All in all, we enjoyed our Sashimi experience and I'd recommend checking it out if you're in Lake Forest and in the mood for raw fish at a reasonable price.“

“The service here is so nice and fast. You can’t beat the lunch special deals! ($10-13 for entree with soup and salad) I love coming here for lunch, I want to try all their deals haha. If I didn’t make it for the lunch specials I would definitely try one of their specialty rolls!“

“José is the most artistically creative sushi chef we have ever come across and had the pleasure of being served by! His sushi creations are amazingly flavorful and to die for! Definitely suggest letting him pick for you, if you would like to try something new! I can't say enough nice things about this place. Its reasonably priced, and all the staff are nice and courteous. Love the yuzu pepper!!“

“Don't sleep on Lemon & Life Sushi!
After 4 visits with consistently outstanding food quality, we've decided that Lemon & LIfe is our family's go-to. We've tried sashimi, sushi, ramen, appetizers, drinks, mochi dessert - pretty much everything on the menu and not had a disapointing meal yet. The portions of fish are pretty large - shocking actually. For that quality, it's a bargain. If I had one recommendation, it would be to soften the lighting for dinner service and turn the music up a bit just to create more ambiance.“

“We sat at the sushi bar and Joe-san was our sushi chef. He was fast, efficient and everything was tasty. We chose the Oh My God roll towards the end and honestly folks? It is OMG spectacular! And so was the Queen Imperial with yellowtail and mango. Great service!!!“

“This has been our sushi spot since 2014 and we bring everyone here. The food is still great though the quality has gone down in some areas. It’s had new owners now for a while and the only reason we don’t come as much is because the unagi has gotten significantly worse and the owner stands and stares at everyone the entire time he’s there. Now don’t get me wrong, he’s nice but it’s so uncomfortable with him just staring.
The waitstaff is extremely friendly and we will continue to go and support but maybe the owner can not stare at us while we eat…please? Lol“

“The sushi is so fresh and everyone is so friendly, It is obvious that there are many regulars in there. So many groups of customers were talking and joking with each other, it is a very friendly atmosphere. It is a small place with only one Sushi chef and it appeared that many customers knew each other, the chef seemed to know most of the customers, the customers knew the chef……you get the picture. Seeing the place full of so many regulars was reassuring on its own but the food spoke for itself.“

“I order takeout from Siam Thai Kitchen regularly, and the quality is incredibly consistent. Their Rad-na is a standout—it's hard to find in this area, and they do it perfectly. If you like Pad See Ew but want something richer, the garlic gravy sauce on this is a game-changer.
I’ve also tried the Crying Tiger, Fried Rice, Spicy Broccoli with Crispy Pork, Fish in Black Pepper, and Larb. Every dish tastes authentic and well-balanced. As a Thai person, I’m usually a tough critic when it comes to Thai food, but this spot never misses. Highly recommend to anyone looking for the real deal in Mission Viejo.“

“I have been coming here for over 10 years, and it consistently hits the spot. The Chicken Teriyaki bowl with extra chicken is the way to go, and the sheer amount of food you receive is uncanny.
Can't recommend it enough if you are craving a Chicken Bowl“
