“Nice little place to grab a quick bite. I got the Oktoberfest plate which was really good! It comes with one sausage that's split down the middle lengthwise and I was expecting two whole sausages. Oh well, they were delicious. Probably the best I've ever had and the amount of potato salad and sauerkraut made up for the missing sausage. The roll with butter were good too. The price online says $9.99 but at the window it says $12.99. I told the nice woman I'd be back. That's my new go to food place whenever I visit the Health Care Agency near by.“

“Cool vibe, good food. Happy hour daily from 2-5 with 50% off beer and wine. My only complaint would be the table tops were sticky/dirty looking. Not from lack of cleaning, just seemed to be the varnish they used on the wood. Also, the garlic parm fries are coated in a garlic butter. Very greasy/oily. If you're not into greasy fries, steer clear. Overall though, I would recommend, and I will be back.“

My tip: Always go with their longest length sandwich. I go with either pastrami, egg, or veggie sandwich -depending on the mood and always with everything on it. “Sashimi is a sushi restaurant located at the corner of Lake Forest Drive and Dimension Drive. It appears to be run by a Korean family and is a popular spot among the locals. They have a sushi bar, but we opted to dine at a table. Steve greeted us and was not only friendly and helpful, but his service level enhanced our overall dining experience.

We tried a number of dishes during our visit. Among my favorites were the Veggie Tempura, Salmon Nigiri, Lake Forest Roll (I appreciate that they allow substitutions so I subbed spicy yellowtail in place of the spicy tuna) and Special Carpaccio S. The Spicy Salmon cut roll was nothing special and tasted more like a California Roll. The Yellowtail Cheek was good, but it was more meaty and less tender than I've enjoyed at other Japanese restaurants. My wife ordered the Pink Lady, but I prefer my sushi with rice. All in all, we enjoyed our Sashimi experience and I'd recommend checking it out if you're in Lake Forest and in the mood for raw fish at a reasonable price.“

“If I could give 10 stars they would get it! I rarely go online to write a review, and if I do it’s because I had a horrible experience. I wrote a positive review maybe twice in my life here’s my third. Start with the cashier, I really can’t say I ever had anyone serve me with a better attitude than the guy who helped me and I say right by the register and he kept that amazing attitude with all customers. At first I had 3 chicken tacos from the taco Tuesday deal (which I might say isn’t cheap, but quality costs) which were surprisingly good because I don’t love shredded chicken. The chicken was so good I decided to get an asada one as well just to make sure they really are as good as it seems. They crushed it, asada taco came to over 7$ after taxes and it glad to say I’ll be happy to pay that price anytime anywhere to get that same taco!“

We started our dinner with two glasses of wine and the bruchetta. The Talbot Chardonnay and the Dry Creek Cabernet were both excellent choices. My wife ordered the eggplant gnocchi, which she loved, and I had the sausage and pepper rigatoni. Both dishes were excellent. The service, food, and ambiance were quite authentic and enjoyable. We spoke with Frederico, who is the ultimate professional, and decided to order a side of meatballs to go as well. This was our first time at Sabatinos, and this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Ask for Frederico as he is the ultimate professional. Highly Recommended.“

“We want to thank CPK for honoring Veterans today. They gave a delicious complementary supper tonight with a nice menu. The food was delicious. The staff was excellent. Service was fast. Manager thanked the veterans and gave us a handshake and a flag. He even had a table set for the missing soldiers , sailors, and Marines. Happy that everyone in restaurant was having a great time. “Some friends and I met here on. Saturday morning to discuss a book we are all reading together. We got to sit in the only large circular booth because we arrived a few minutes before opening at 7:30 and so were the first ones in the door. There are several other standard booths and plenty of other seating as well even a bit later when traffic picked up. Our server Carolina was very attentive and friendly, and that large circular booth was the perfect place for a good discussion. Everyone seemed happy with their food. I got the Ranchero Skillet, which was quite spicy but Carolina had warned me. The coffee was great, and they did a good job of coming around frequently to refill coffee and water.“
