I had the halibut with mango salsa. OMG.... Delicious!! My bf had the shrimp n pasta. He said it was very good but the halibut was better. You absolutely need to try the beet salad. So many flavors. For dessert we had the lemon cheesecake. It was mouth watering.

Service was too rushed. I got my beet salad and 4 min later I received my dinner plate.

Even though there were a few hiccups, we did have a pleasant evening and we'll be back.“

“I am a challenging customer because I have been the food service profession for decades. I can look at an item and tell you if it came from SYSCO, US Foods, Restaurant Depot, or some other popular source…and my familiarity can adversely impact my dining experiences. I tend to be hypercritical of both the front & back of a restaurant (kitchen staff & servers) and this skepticism is magnified when I feel the need to be catered to. Yes…I’m that guy.

I have returned to Mangia Bene every time I need to impress someone or simply feel the need for great food and service that makes me feel catered to…even spoiled. They do not disappoint and Reggie manages the establishment with a watchful eye and hires very well. You can tell his staff enjoys working here and they value the patron. It’s a tightly run ship decorated with crystal, linen and amazing food that stuns the eye and pleases the taste buds. The bartenders are above average as well. They can make anything and everything and you can have it your way! A slightly dirty martini with enough olives you can call it a low-cal salad? No problem. We have never been served a bad drink here. Martinis come to you with ice crystals floating…not melted like “some places” who do not know better.

After a particularly brutal day, my wife & I needed a date night. We chose Mangia Bene and tried some new dishes. The appetizers were fabulous and generous…so much so we went straight to dessert afterwards because that was all we had room for. But we still ordered entrees to take home cuz great Italian food for breakfast is a wonderful thing! (New Yorkers are smiling as they read this).

If you are a tough customer…if you scrutinize things like the crystal stemware, the house wine selections, expect the perfect port wine served in a proper snifter, holding a quality steak knife and other fine touches that mean something, if you know when your server is providing the ideal level of service (not stopping to check on you too often or disappearing for too long) and seek a dining experience in elegant and comfortable surroundings, then do yourself a favor and go visit Mangia Bene on a day when you need to be treated right…or have a client you need to delight. Go ahead…book your table with absolute confidence. I have been dining here for decades and never once had a negative experience. Of course, unlike the 1-star review people I am not using DoorDash or complaining about the restaurant being packed because it is so popular. There’s an excellent reason for this. At Mangia Bene…they set the customer service bar so high…other restauranteurs need to charter a plane just to see it.“

“So, my partner and I have a couple of pizza spots we like to hit up, while in the area. The other popular one told us it was a 45-minute wait, while this spot was a much quicker 20 minute wait, big plus there! The customer service was solid; everyone was friendly and chill.
We were really craving New York-style pizza, but honestly, this place was okay, good not terrible but also not quite NY style. The wings, on the other hand, were a highlight: big, juicy, and the sauce was spicy enough to kick it up a notch. Overall, I’d definitely recommend the wings they did the job and then some. “First time dining in this Mendocino location, first time ordering the Farm Club sandwich 🥪, have to say, the Farm Club is probably the least I would recommend from their menu.

As to me, Mendocino Farms stand for gourmet sandwiches, but we can probably buy lots of similar sandwiches from any other shops. So to me, the Farm Club is a NO.

Having said this, we ordered again Prosciutto and Chicken, still very good 👍.

“We did the kids birthday party package where my daughter and 13 of her friends got to make their own pizzas and go on a tour of the kitchen. The price was incredible for what you get!! $15 per child and they get their own drinks, pizzas, and sundaes. We received so many compliments by our guests about how cute and fun it was! We also ordered a catering package for the adults and family to eat (5 pizzas, a huge bbq chicken salad, and a big spinach dip and chips). All the food was great! We brought our own desserts which was totally fine and nice that we still got to do a birthday cake. Our server Tori was fantastic! She was really attentive and quick. At the end every child received a free kids meals ticket to come back. Such a cool touch! Thank you CPK LN for making our little one’s birthday a day to remember!“
