“This place came in clutch for being open on the holidays when most other places in the area were closed. After getting what felt like a child’s meal for dinner at a restaurant in Irvine and then trying to go to a couple other places on the way home for a snack only to discover they had closed early, my partner luckily remembered this place and suggested checking if it were open. Fortunately, it was, and although I ordered in person, the food was ready for takeout within a few minutes. I got the grilled tofu and rice combo, and it was great. Nothing fancy, but it was well-seasoned and tasted like a home-cooked meal, which is exactly what I wanted.“

“I did not catch his name, but shout out to the guy working on January 1st around 6pm! This guy was so on point, while there was a constant rush, and line of customers. He was very attentive with each of customers. There was a line out the door, and he stayed calm and collective, and did his job well. Good job dude! Keep up the good work :).“

“Location is easy access in a nice shopping center. The place is always clean and maintained. They have a large area of toppings that are pleasant to eat. Not like many other places with old dried out toppings. Many flavors with a regular thrown in one. Salted caramel is always good. Also have almonds and other toppings. “I loved the mango pomelo sago yogurt with passion fruit popping boba. It had all the right flavors, and textures. Customer service was kind, and respectful. Highly recommend if you like yogurt and can tolerate lactose. Definitely a place to go when in the mood for a cool, fun treat.“

And the line can be long, but it is worth it, and moves quickly, unless you have indecisive kids, like me. Bring water or buy water, as the bars make one really thirsty.“

This ice cream is good for what it is. I feel like the flavors I tried were really overwhelmed by the flavor of coconut, and honestly could benefit from some salt to round the flavors out, just from a culinary perspective.

The shop was very cute and clean, but the staff seemed to have limited knowledge about the flavors and struggled to tell me about the flavors I asked about (ex. She had no idea what was in the tropical blend…and a lot of I don’t knows, which was too bad since this was my first time here! Not really ideal, given this place seems to focus on allergens and dietary restrictions. Not the end of the world though haha

“Delicious ice cream. This was my first time going to south swell ice cream. The only issue I had was that the menu was a bit confusing. I wish they had images of the ice cream instead of the description. Since this was my first time I was asking a lot of questions. Otherwise the staff were very patient with me and answered all my questions. The ice cream is very delicious. The price is reasonable too.“

“This location isn't too small or big it was just the right size, enough to place an order and go. It seems they change their flavors weekly? I'm not too sure, but now that I finally got around to posting my review a week or so later, the menu has changed.
The person who took my order was ok. He didn't really make an effort to recommend certain cookies or anything.
I ordered 1/2 dozen cookies so that we can sample all the flavors and one large banana upside down cake.

1. Milk chocolate chip - I think it was the best. You can't mess with a classic.

2. Pink velvet cake cookie - I'm not too sure what they were going for here. Is it supposed to be similar to a red velvet cake only pink? Didn't really taste like anything.

3. Kentucky butter cake - Everyone seems to rave about this, but after trying it, I'm not sure what all the hype was about.

4. Confetti milkshake - Tasted like a sugar cookie with confetti sprinkles

5. Sticky bun - This was definitely sticky, but I liked what they tried to do here.

6. Large banana upside down cake - This tasted like a banana bread, fluffy, and moist. I liked the whip cream or whatever it was with the caramel drizzle.

Overall, it was alright. Something good to try again and try the new flavors they have. I like that they are trying to be creative and innovative with the flavors. Maybe I'm just old school and prefer Mrs. Fields.“

“What a great place for taco Tuesday! They have two types of Tuesday menus and I had the fish taco that ended at 5:30. I had two different ones and they were fabulous. Drinks go on all night and they were very good too. I will definitely be back.“

“Wanted to give a shout out to Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt in San Clemente by Walmart. I went in to grab gift cards. I needed 5 $5 cards for party favors for my daughter's birthday. They were out of gift cards. The gentleman working there must have been the owner. He asked how many I needed. I said 5. He said today is your lucky day, opened his wallet and GAVE ME 5 gift cards for $5 each FOR FREE! Seriously, who does that?! I wish I had gotten his name. Wow Wow Wow. I will forever be grateful and def make sure we go there for yogurt. Thank you Menchie's!“

“Walking along the pier we noticed a sizable line of people waiting in line at only one restaurant, which is usually a sign of good food. This was certainly true at The Coffee Importers. We ordered sandwiches - one roast beef and one turkey -- was able to specify the bread and condiments. Both were quite thick - appropriate for the price point >$14 - and both were very delicious. The use of fresh ingredients was readily apparent. Served with a few pieces of fruit, which was a nice refresher at the end. We would come here again to try some of the other options. The egg/bagel sandwiches that we saw coming out of the kitchen looked marvelous!“

We had two coffees, we just wanted to enjoy the walk through all the shops around the area.

Staff was very kind and welcoming. There is inside seating available.

When it comes to parking, because it is kind of a down town area, the only parking available is the public paid parking, plenty of those in this area. Usually around $4 for 2 hours. I did see one for $10 lol.“
