“Had a nice evening at Dominicos on the lake this evening. My wife and I had reservations and were fortunate to ask Kory for a patio table which he accommodated. Michael took us to our table and was very kind and professional. Pedro came by with our bread and water and said hello. He is one of the hardest working individuals at the restaurant. Eddie our server came by and took our orders with a bottle of Austin Hope and bread to start. My wife ordered a chicken breast salad and I had the chef's special stroganoff which was amazing. Unfortunately my wife's salad came out 30 minutes after my stroganoff which was a cardinal sin in the restaurant business and we mentioned it was not acceptable. Eddie apologized and we also had Steven, the GM, come by and also apologize and ensure the salad would be out shortly. The salad was delivered, of course after I ate my entree and Steven dropped off and apologetic gift certificate for an appetizer during our next visit. We also ordered an additional beef stroganoff plus an order of meatballs to take home for tomorrow. We undertake things happen and it's certainly nice to see the restaurants busy again but a party of two receiving their entrees 30 minutes apart is not conducive with quality service. I am guessing the chef either misplaced the order or overlooked the obvious and we hope next time we will not have such issues as the restaurant is very good and in a fantastic location. Michael also came back around and stated he was concerned about this mishap and would look into this. As a retired government administrator and former restaurant manager in my college days I expect the simple things like entrees being delivered at the same time to be in sync with quality service and dining. We will be back and see if in fact this was an isolated incident. Good food and ambiance plus. The price online says $9.99 but at the window it says $12.99. I told the nice woman I'd be back. That's my new go to food place whenever I visit the Health Care Agency near by.”

I wrote a positive review maybe twice in my life here’s my third. Start with the cashier, I really can’t say I ever had anyone serve me with a better attitude than the guy who helped me and I say right by the register and he kept that amazing attitude with all customers. At first I had 3 chicken tacos from the taco Tuesday deal (which I might say isn’t cheap, but quality costs) which were surprisingly good because I don’t love shredded chicken. The chicken was so good I decided to get an asada one as well just to make sure they really are as good as it seems. They crushed it, asada taco came to over 7$ after taxes and it glad to say I’ll be happy to pay that price anytime anywhere to get that same taco!”

I didn’t realize they didn’t accept Discover cards, only Visa and Mastercard if I’m not mistaken. Long story short, my card declined and a sweet, older woman working that morning said I could leave my name and number and take my items, so long as I came back and paid what I owed. Of course I went back during my lunch break that very same day to get some cash and headed straight to the donut shop to pay my total. The kind lady didn’t have to do that, she could’ve just said “sorry, come back next time”, but she saw my babygirl with me and said she couldn’t let us leave without our treats ❤‍🩹 thank you so much for your trust and generosity. Our server was extremely attentive. Move your dish an inch and it was cleared before you even noticed. That kind of service matters.
Honestly, I struggled to find a single negative thing to say about the food or the experience itself. So I want to be clear: if a neighbor asked me where to find good, close sushi in Ladera Ranch, I would send them here without hesitation.
But there's something I've been thinking about since walking out, and maybe other people feel the same way.
Half the fun of a sushi bar has always been the connection. Knowing your chef. Picking up a conversation where you left off last time. The kind of familiarity where you end up buying your chef a drink because that's just the relationship you've built. It's one of the things that makes a neighborhood sushi spot feel like a neighborhood sushi spot.
That experience doesn't exist here. The chefs are skilled and clearly focused, but there was no eye contact, no conversation, and from what I observed, heads buried in phones between orders. It felt almost like a policy. And maybe it is. Maybe that's intentional. But it's a noticeable absence.
The food doesn't even have to be perfect for a place to earn that kind of loyalty. Some of the spots people drive across town for built their reputation on the relationship as much as the rolls. I miss that.
So: great food, great service, spotless restaurant. Absolutely worth going. I just hope someday the sushi bar feels like a sushi bar again.”

She welcomes you with a smiling face and explains anything on the Chinese-American menu, which is quickly served and abundant. My only recommendation is she provide Chinese music to set the mood instead of her nice quiet classical music. BTW, the restaurant is in a quiet section of the shopping mall with no loud vehicles racing by. You can have a nice quiet conversation while enjoying your food. The restaurant provides booths or tables for your pleasure, which is a nice change from normal cafeteria-style Asian restaurants.”

What everybody calls professional staff with great service, is actually the PERSIAN HOSPITALITY which no Persian restaurant would last without it. Even when you are waiting for your takeout order, they offer you complimentary tea while you wait. Persian moms take their cooking seriously and if the food at a Persian restaurant doesn't meet their high standards, they wouldn't load up the whole family to go there for family dinners and catered parties.”

“Been here a couple times and their cinnamon rolls (especially when fresh out the oven) are UNREAL! Friendly staff and I appreciate how transparent they are with how much time is left for certain pastries. The new hours also help too, was nice to not come in with a huge line out the door. “Since when did a small matcha with cold foam cost almost $11? Matcha tasted good and nice seating inside but I’ll stick to making matcha at home or go to other shops that charges $6 for matcha instead of coming back here. Also, internet did not work for me but thankfully I had hotspot on my phone.”

“My wife and I randomly picked this spot and we are glad we did! One of the few sandwich spots in the Mission/Laguna area making fresh sandwiches! We had the Pastrami Ruben & The Mobster. Highly recommend this place. Oh and get a cookie too, they are great. I promised myself I'd only get one, but the dude helping us order already knew; we got a second one to go (grabbed a lack & White, very tasty)!”

“Great food. Scary manager.
I was offered a french burrito which was really fricken good.
The next week, I wanted to order it again but the manager was here this time and said it does not exist anymore. I asked for a burrito in a crepe, she pandored upon it, and said alright. It was really good.
This week, I tried to order the burrito in a crepe again and was denied. They cannot do it apparently. French lady scary. I am too afraid to ask why they cannot do the burrito on a crepe again.”

The coffee was super fresh Brooklyn took the time to explain Gregory's coffee beans process which I thought was really cool. The girls seem to have pride in their work- It showed!”
