“The Pad See Ew here is EXACTLY what I want and expect when I order one. The noodles have a nice chew, there was a little char on everything including the vegetables, it was perfect. Usually when you get pad see ew, a good indicator that it’s going to be flavorful is the color of the noodles. Pale tan? No flavor. A nice rich brown like the ones in the picture here? Delicious. My bf and I also got a Pad Thai (not pictured), a Panang Curry, and finished with Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. Everything was so good, I think this is my new favorite Thai food place.“

We walked in to order to-go food and they seated us and brought us bottled water, again, service beyond compare. Now to the food, the Crispy Noodles (#1) are to die for...makes a great dessert. The Nutty Noodles chicken (#54) were great, and the Kiss Me Not garlic pork was so flavorful. They also included some tempura vegetables which were super yummy. Very genuine food and polite servers who aim to please.
We shared the Pad See-Ew with Pork and Yellow Curry with Chicken and rice. We also ordered the rare Mango Sticky Rice.
This is highly recommended but save room for dessert. The meals are hearty and the mango and sticky rice are plentious.

“We dined in here today and we were very excited to try the vegetarian menu here. Unfortunately, their curry and pad thai have oyster sauce and fish sauce already in it and that was not an option. “This place seriously just made my whole week. The food came out super fast and it was all so fresh and flavorful, I basically cleaned my plate without stopping. I really appreciated that Plern offers a vegetarian pad see ew with tofu—I personally don’t like seafood and fish sauces in noodles and other dishes. It was probably the best pad see ew I’ve had in a very long time! I ordered takeout, but when I came into the restaurant to pick up my order, staff were very kind and welcoming. This is our go to spot and the food is consistently excellent and the service is amazing. Fern and Eke are the best and will make you feel so welcome and taken care of. It’s the most charming atmosphere and we’ve never had anything other than a great experience here and we’ve been going for years. Highly recommend the Tom Kha Soup, pad Thai, and crying tiger. “The food, service, and atmosphere here are all GREAT. It’s a little pricey… in that there is definitely cheaper Thai food in town. But everything is really really tasty and the service and atmosphere are upscale and really nice. Worth the extra money.

WARNING: I would avoid takeout or delivery. As much as we love this place, we just didn’t feel like going out last night. We tried to order by calling the restaurant. They have an AI agent taking your order. She rejected one of our favorites, saying it’s not on the menu. Turns out, it’s not on the TAKEOUT menu. (It was “basic” chicken lettuce wraps.) I get it… some food doesn’t travel well and they choose not to even try. (But that particular food seems like it would be okay?) The more annoying part was the AI accepted our order for fresh shrimp spring rolls, but “translated” the order to the kitchen as fried rolls with shrimp and other fried stuff. When we called, we were able to talk to a person that claims they’ll refund in a few business days. But she kept insisting that “we ordered the wrong thing.” Maybe they shouldn’t rely on an AI to take my order? (I read to the AI — word for word from their online menu — the item we wanted… the AI said “got the shrimp rolls… what else?”) Insult to injury… when dining in, they bring us a (big) side of peanut sauce (for the rolls) and never ever charge us. Last night, the AI charged us $4 for it and it was the tiniest little to-go ramekin like you see at salsa bars. (And remember, we didn’t even get the rolls to dip them in!) After speaking with the live person (that identified herself as the manager), I’m pretty convinced they just don’t love their takeout customers… like we’re a necessary evil.

Again: GREAT restaurant… love eating THERE. But be prepared to be under appreciated and disappointed if you try to take out.“
