“TK Burgers is one of those classic Orange County spots that reminds you why simple food done right still wins. The place has that old-school surf shack vibe that feels authentic to the beach communities around here. It’s casual, quick, and the staff always seem to keep things moving even when the line gets long.

The burgers are solid and exactly what you want from a traditional California burger stand. Fresh grilled patties, soft buns, and simple toppings that don’t try to overcomplicate things. Everything tastes fresh off the grill and you can tell they’ve been doing it the same way for years. It’s not trying to be trendy or fancy. It’s just good, classic burger stand food that hits the spot every time.

Where TK Burgers really separates itself from the pack is the fries. And honestly, this is where I think they beat In-N-Out pretty easily. In-N-Out has great burgers, but their fries can be a little hit or miss depending on the batch. TK Burgers consistently serves fries that are crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and actually seasoned well. They taste like proper old-school burger stand fries, the kind you keep reaching back into the basket for even after you’re full.

The portions are generous, the prices are fair for Orange County, and the atmosphere feels laid back and local. You’ll see surfers, families, and longtime regulars all grabbing a quick meal. It’s the kind of place that feels like it’s been part of the community forever.

If you’re in Orange County and craving a straightforward, no-nonsense burger and fries, TK Burgers delivers. And if you’re someone who’s always wished In-N-Out had better fries, this place will probably win you over pretty quickly. Except for their service which is just “Meh”

“I came in for my first time and Max was absolutely wonderful! I wasn’t sure what I wanted he was extremely polite, kind and helpful! Thank you for hiring employees like Max who make just getting a burger a really excellent experience. “Cool vibe, good food. Happy hour daily from 2-5 with 50% off beer and wine. My only complaint would be the table tops were sticky/dirty looking. Not from lack of cleaning, just seemed to be the varnish they used on the wood. Also, the garlic parm fries are coated in a garlic butter. Very greasy/oily. If you're not into greasy fries, steer clear. Overall though, I would recommend, and I will be back.“

“Good option in the mall food court. Kids meals are a great value - burger is simple and well seasoned, fries have always been crispy. Takes a bit to come out but assume that’s because they cook to order - always come out great.

Other options in the food court are nice too - Sarku, Chipotle, etc.“

“Stopped in this morning to Royal Donuts and Burgers for a cup of hot coffee. I also ordered a ham & cheese croissant with Jalapeños and a cold orange juice. I ordered the items to go and took them home to enjoy while watching the Christmas move, Die Hard! Is it really a Christmas movie? Lol

Jr jumbo jack cheeseburger and two tacos for $1.61, what more can you want?

If you’re trying to eat healthier in 2026, this ain’t it. So much lard in these tacos but that’s what makes it taste good. Taco sauce is the best.“

“Good happy hour. Food and drinks are served quickly and with enthusiasm.
We had the Happy Hour Sliders with Cheddar Cheese and Tempura Green Beans.
The green beans came out with the drinks very quickly. They were hot and flavorful.
Dipping sauce is a little thin and lacking in flavor, but it's not needed as the food is good as-is.
The sliders were good too. The cheese is optional but adds a little depth to the item.
As is Happy Hour, the restaurant was busy and we were lucky to get a table in the bar so quickly.
There were several games on the screens which added to the atmosphere. The meal cost around $25 per person, which was affordable.
We'll be back and may even join the Rewards Program. Kayla (and Kaylee) took good care of us.“
