But what truly elevated my experience was the delightful conversation I had with the gentleman at the front. His warmth and hospitality added an extra layer of enjoyment to my meal. Nichole, our server was kind and incredibly organized, we brought our dog and multiple employees came out to learn her name and talk to us about her. The drinks were great too! (Mai tai. When my food came out, I first dug into the fries and told my friend, "So these fries are some of the best fries I've had, good start." The burger may have been the best burger I've ever had. I ordered a bacon-bleu burger and the Bleu cheese is definitely worth noting. It wasn't just crumbles, or dressing, but a kind of spread that was so incredibly flavorful! It was so overwhelming, I couldn't finish. The burger was juicy, made just right at medium, the bun is exactly what you want in a burger bun. They offer grilled onions, which I opted in for. The lettuce and pickles were potentially the highest quality I have come across on a burger. That goes for probably every ingredient on the burger. I have known about this place since it opened and am extremely disappointed in myself for never making an effort to stop by!I also want to address the ratings wherein people complain about the price. Show me a place with a comparable burger for the same price or less! You can't do it. “Mr Pete's has been around for a long time. I've lived in San Clemente for 20 years and had never gone there. It looks pretty outdated from the outside, and I typically go to the same places to eat. My buddy Brent goes there daily for breakfast and invited me to join him. I was impressed with the remodel on the inside and the large menu. The younger guy at the counter taking my order was so accommodating, he seemed like he owned the place. I have strict healthy guidelines that I follow when eating and he made all adjustments I asked for. The food was great. I have since met buddies there on 2 other occasions for lunch and was impressed with the food and so were they. It's my new 'go-to' place.Dietary restrictions: I eat high protein low carb. “Great new addition to the burger places here in San Clemente, great variety of burgers between bison and regular beef as well as vegan options. Great selection of beer, cool interior and nice staff. I dealt with Carla on a matter that was my fault regarding a charge and couldn’t be happier about how helpful she was.“

“Today I tried smash burger again for the first time in a longggg time(had a bad prior experience) and let me just say this. What a lovely establishment with beautifully fresh ingredients. The bun was fresh and warm, the lettuce crisp and chilled, tomato's had snap, onions had bite. The patty was a wonderfully cooked and I could definitely tell it had been smashed which is their signature technique( hence the name "Smash Burger" lmao). Would highly recommend this restaurant for those seeking finer things in life and aren't willing to spend a pretty penny. My cheeseburger and frenchfries totaled $13.50 and after I tipped $2 my total was $15.50 a steep cost but in my opinion worth it. I could not bring myself to give it a full 5 stars after the lady taking my order gave me fries when I ordered tots and she was on her cell phone so she didn't not even hear me say oh sorry I wanted the tots. Being the person I am I still tipped 2 dollars. Thank you for your time“
“It was a very busy Friday night. The mobile and kiosk orders were not going through to the kitchen. The staff did their absolute BEST to keep up with the chaos of GrubHub orders, eat in orders, and online orders. Honestly, saw such amazing service from such a friendly staff on a night where they could have been stressed and overwhelmed. Seriously, you have a great crew here!“
“The best service I have ever had at a fast food restaurant (to include other in-N-Out restaurants). I had somebody open the door for me when I walked in and greeted me very warmly. I had two cashier contacts and the guy who gave me my food. All were super warm and courteous. The team and management need to be commended. This is how restaurants should run. And if you’re wondering, I do not know anybody who works at this restaurant nor do I work for In-N-Out. I just appreciate being treated right.“
