“I rarely write reviews, but my experience here was so phenomenal that I feel it is necessary. Two friends and I went for a leisurely family style dinner and everything we ordered, from the drinks to the appetizers to the entrees, exceeded our expectations. Beyond that, everything came out impossibly fast, our server was stellar, and they gave us a complimentary dessert. I can't wait to go back.”

“We stopped by Chaupain for a late lunch and were pleasantly surprised with the menu selection. We ordered the quiche and croque madame. On of my typical gripes about quiche is it's never consistently baked. Either too dry or soggy. The quiche at Chaupain was anything but that. Nice and firm, but not overly cooked, the quiche was amazing! It paired beautifully with the tomato soup. So much flavor and we enjoyed every bite!”

“I went to this location the other day after my work and i had no idea which one to get and i was already tired lol. But the worker Bruna was so kind and was very willing to give me different recommendations on the bowls and explained what each one was.The service was also really fast.The best Açaí in town. “The food here is so great. I'm so happy to have a restaurant like this close to my house. My wife and I finally made it to eat here (we usually order online) the service was awesome. They took really good care of us. The food was fresh and tasty tasted like pizza. I also liked the music a lot.”

“We celebrated my daughters 20th birthday. The service was amazing. Karcher our waiter was amazing, he was so attentive, explained the menu to us and had some amazing suggestions as well. Everything we ordered from appetizers to the desserts were amazing. Karcher was so thoughtful that upon us mentioning it was my daughters birthday he went above and beyond and brought her dessert with a birthday candle. Thank you so much.. We will definitely return. 4/14/2024 Menu: Taquitos Caseros were tasty, Filet & Grilled Romaine was amazing, chicken flautas were yummy. Chipotle Dusted Sea Bass was my husbands favorite. El Vaquero was also a favorite. the drinks were yummy from the Strawberry lemonade, cokes, to the corona and the red wine to my favorite the cucumber margarita. :) The setting and the atmosphere was amazing.”

“For many years was my favorite place in town. I would give it five stars, but they no longer have the blue cheese, bacon burger that I so desire. The art there is amazing and affordable. It's a real kick ass place to relax. The people that worked there are very nice. And if you can find Captain Frank you will have a loyal friend for the rest of your life.”

“Talk about a hidden gem. I'm glad it's far from me because otherwise I'd be there constantly. Best ice cream shop in south county and I love the simplicity of the menu. We got a cup, a float, and a frozen banana for our family; all were delicious. The cup is enough for two kids to share.”

“FIG continues to be one of the best restaurants in Orange County. High quality, interesting food choices. Carnivores and diabetics can be very happy with a wide-ranging menu offering many options. An extremely good Caesar Salad that an only be improved with the addition of anchovies (didn't get the memo?) Fish options are uniformly good. One recommendation would be to order each stage of the meal separately (i.e., finish the salad before you order the main course, etc.) You will enjoy it more, and it avoids the sometimes problem of main dishes arriving cold.”

“We visited this cute little brewery on a Saturday afternoon. We had a delicious hazy from a different brewery. We also ordered a breakfast burrito that was so good, we both agreed set the bar on what a breakfast burrito should be like! We left buying some of their IPAs to go, which didn't last long! In all, a great spot especially if you are heading down between LA and San Diego and need a place to stop and have an enjoyable beer.”

“The food is really good, loved the salsa and our entrees but very pricey and a limited menu. I'd like to see more entrees and average price was $24 and up. Drinks are fantastic but again pricey. Go for happy hour!! Great service every time we go.”

“I didn't know i could LOVE indian food until i visited Kiaan's. Oh my good gravy..... So tasty!!! I do not do spicy AT ALL so appealing to my taste buds can be challenging. Amrit couldn't have been more accommodating and assured me i would be happy. He was right. The chicken curry was my favorite. It was so creamy and smooth and delicious. The naan was perhaps the best i have had...loaded with butter and garlic flavors. The service could not be more excellent; the perfect mix of friendly and prompt and so comfortable. I know the restaurant is owner/ family operated and the attention to detail and care shows. Fine dining complete with white tablecloths and napkins. So very elegant and yet pricing was so reasonable!!I know they are now open 7 days a week and i cannot wait to come back with my husband! Such a wonderful addition to Talega in San Clemente. THE BEST!”

“Absolute grub! We didn't find this place until our last night in town. I wish we would have found it earlier in our trip. This is really good Asian food. The bowls are a good size for lunch. The platters are a BIG dinner. Great food at a great price. There was a train of locals coming through to pick up food while I was waiting.”

“Ordered a wedding cake about 2 weeks before our wedding. They were extremely friendly and communicative the entire process. All we requested was white heart shaped cake. Initially we ordered a 6", but later decided to go with 8" and there was no issue. We also ordered a cupcake as a birthday surprise and everything was amazing tasting and looked great!”

“We were here a few days ago and were ignored and left, gave it another shot tonight because we really like the place. Tristan did an awesome job taking care of us. Thanks Tristan.I used to go here pretty often but I've moved away. This weekend we were in town for a few days and I stopped in for lunch. It was horrible. As a bar owner I understand the business and whoever is managing the place is in way over their head and failing miserably. The food was prepared terribly. I ordered a really simple thing. A teriyaki chicken bowl. The chicken was apremade US Foods product that they recook to the point of overcooked. It was so overcooked I would consider it a cremation. The dish also gave away a terrible secret. The kitchen is in poor shape. There were a few macaroni pieces in the bowl. The server was really trying but I kept hearing him having to apologize to just about every table he was helping. He had to apologize to me because I ordered a beer on the menu and after not getting it for 10 minutes he came back to tell me they were out of my selection. No big deal, I picked something else. That beer was delivered 20 minutes later with my food. He apologized that the order didn't go in because the printer was out of paper. Like I said, this is a management issue. Whoever is managing doesn't have processes in place. Closers should be checking that printer and openers should verify. My guess is the kitchen staff doesn't have processes in place for organization and cleaning either. And if you want to have a nice restaurant, you have to start with good ingredients, not cheap trash sold premade. Honestly I have had better food handed to me through my car window.”

“Can't say enough good things about this place. The fruit is so delicious and fresh. The people working are always welcoming and kind. They're quick to make everything and it's consistently 10/10. SO GOOD. I'm obsessed.”

Quaint outdoor seating in a comfortable and welcoming environment! Highly recommend and always dine at Antoine's Cafe durning my stay(s) in San Clemente!”

“Came to SC Cafe while visiting San Clemente the past weekend. It was a rainy Saturday morning but there was luckily only a 10-15 minute wait for so. The cafe is small and busy, but has a great friendly vibe. All the workers seemed to know everyone which was a good sign. One even stopped taking our order to say bye to someone lol For food I got the Gringos Burritos--hash brown egg and cheese burritos covered in ranchero sauce and more cheese. So good! Very different. I'm not big on ranchero sauce but finished it regardless. Everything else my table got looked good. Most items have a south-of-the-border touch which always makes for a good combination. Def recommend if you're in town!”

“Great place for someone vegan and gluten intolerant. I had an açaí bowl regular size and it was very generous, full of fresh fruit and gluten free granola which made it sweeter.The açaí itself was pretty sweet on its own so I would probably not take the granola next time. The açaí was the correct consistency. Not completely frozen like some places serve it but very cold like a thick smoothie which is how it should be served.Service was great, nice chilled vibe and you can tell it’s not a huge chain but a local business which makes me want to come back and try some of their other bowls, coffees and bakes.”

“I came to SC for a family visit and they offered we go to Jadore. We were a few adults, 2 kids and a baby.As a vegan and gluten intolerant person it felt like there weren’t many options on the menu as everything has bread, cheese or meat on it.I ordered the coconut and squash soup and it tasted like Gerber baby puree. The person there which I think it one of the owners quickly replaced it with the açaí bowl which was ok and also gave us a free muffin. I really did feel like he was trying his best.Also I wouldn’t recommend this for families with younger kids as there wasn’t anything for the kids that was nutritious apart from crepes with chocolate which weren’t what I wanted my 8 and 2 year old to eat for lunch.Overall everyone said the food was ok but not great. Portion sizes were small and it was expensive.The great part was the garden in the back and the French music in the background. It could’ve been a bad day so I’m giving this 3 stars.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly unless you want to have pastries and sweet crepes with Nutella”

“Not exactly the tourist trap we were expecting. Got in with no wait on a weekday. The steak was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The French fries were phenomenal, I had two baskets. Great place to watch the tide or the sunset. Coming here to drink and dine with friends was a great experience.”

“I live in Riverside but come to San Clemente about once a month for work, and always make a point of getting a pizza from here. A friend recommended Pizza Port and I tell anyone if I know they'll be in the area. The pizzas are always fantastic!!! Please open a shop in Riverside!!!”

“The food here is pretty good and priced relatively compared to the other nicer restaurants around San Clemente. The chilaquiles were really good and the avocado toast was great as well. The drinks were well made and decently priced. Our only concern/negative feedback would be the staffing. The people are great, kind and wonderful to be around. There were just a few moments where we had to wait a bit longer than necessary due to the bartender(the only one serving) was overwhelmed with the guests. To be fair, there were a couple of larger tables, but an additional server would have made this a 5 star experience. We will definitely be back!Parking: Riviera Restaurant is located inside the San Clemente Inn. Both the Inn and Restaurant share a large parking lot.”

“Super impressed by this place. We will definitely go to Barnoa Wine Company again. We were here on a Friday for Happy Hour. The wine was delicious and the charcuterie board very good. We sat outside and they did a great job making it feel secluded. Live music is always a plus for us. They say it’s a “hidden gem”, and we agree.”

“Great place to grab a couple of drinks before dinner or do both here. Food portion sizes are smaller but packed with flavor. We had the steak frites and scallops and drinks. Espresso martini with tequila is surprisingly good!”

“The server was great! Need more vegan options for dinners. Also, it was my birthday, and I told the server I was vegan. He brought desserts to the table that were not vegan. Thank you for the desserts though! Service was great. Wine was good. The noise level was very high.”

“Came here with my family and we were pleasantly surprised. It was awhile ago while Gema was relatively new to San Clemente and we were blown away with the food and service. We love that there is a place with elevated food and drinks here in this beach town. Really hope people appreciate the quality of cooking going on here!”

“My first time visiting this lovely cellar. It was a perfect day for a perfect alfresco lunch. We ordered the Spanish Charcuterie to start with, and although it appeared to be small, it was exactly enough for two to share. Every item was a standout on its own, and the mix was devine! I also ordered the chicken & waffles, and my friend ordered the beet salad. It was all delicious. Our server was the best, very attentive, but not overbearing.I give this place a 5 across the board, because we left feeling so pampered. I highly recommend stopping here, and, I certainly plan to return.”

“Very delicious steak and lobster. Steak platter was a lot better than seafood. The truffle bread & potatoe Lobster Is one of the kind as side dish. We did not like the ravioli because it was too salty. Their service is Good. Parking is a little hassle. Did not find Valet Parking.”

“Saw this on our way down to walk along the beach. Decided to stop in on the way back and were not disappointed. Hubby & I shared a ground beef & mushroom pizza and Peroni. Just off Del Mar, atmosphere was nice, service was friendly, the beer was ice cold, and the pizza was delicious. My husband said it was the best he's had in a few years. We'll be back again for sure.”

“The food here is delicious and the customer service is incredibly good, I loved the chicken chop suey which have lots vegetables and the texture plus taste of it is just on point. Loved their fried rice and chow mein the smell just like the taste is very good. The vegetable egg roll omg what's should I say " the best veggie roll rolls I ever had" just soo fresh. My bf ordered the beef pepper steak I had a try as well the beef is so juicy and tasty as well. We went in before 4 pm so we ordered the lunch portion which is huge we didn't even finish. Definitely recommend to anyone who love Chinese cuisine. personally will go back the next time we are in town.”

“Been here on two occasions. 15 years ago after returning from a Mexican Riviera Cruise and last night after watching an AEW Pay Per View in LA. Both times were awesome!Eight off the freeway with ample parking and excellent service. Food is made to order and priced just right.I enjoyed my late night breakfast which consisted of their new stuffed strawberry pancakes! Also had eggs, sausage and bacon. Came hi get, left full without filing for bankruptcy.Lema was my server and was on point. Super friendly and attentive! If ever you're near the area, drop by and enjoy a yummy meal.Be back soon!”

“The best service I have ever had at a fast food restaurant (to include other in-N-Out restaurants). I had somebody open the door for me when I walked in and greeted me very warmly. I had two cashier contacts and the guy who gave me my food. All were super warm and courteous. The team and management need to be commended. This is how restaurants should run. And if you’re wondering, I do not know anybody who works at this restaurant nor do I work for In-N-Out. I just appreciate being treated right.”

“This place is much improved, especially in the attitude of the staff (there are still some staffers who are a touch conceited, but minority). Drinks are made well and as quickly as can be when the aim is high quality. Food takes a while, but is worth it. The seating and vibe of the place is chill and good.A change I would like to see is, when ringing in any drink made from the bar, if the cashier would look to the espresso bar and provide an estimation (or disclaimer) on timing of the drink. Even just a "we've a number of orders from the bar, and I want to make sure a five minute wait works with you", etc.”

“Great spot for a sandwich. Everything is good but especially their meatloaf and meatball subs. Make sure to ask the staff what they like and order that! I have had four different sandwiches and all have been great. They have some budget options as well. You can order ahead as well.”

“In the mood for a hot dog, I stumbled upon Burger Junkie, and boy, am I glad I did! The Junkie Fries were an absolute revelation - crispy, flavorful, and downright addictive. But what truly elevated my experience was the delightful conversation I had with the gentleman at the front. His warmth and hospitality added an extra layer of enjoyment to my meal. Plus, the ambiance of the restaurant was very surfer Cali vibe. If you're craving good American food, Burger Junkie is the place to be!”

“This cafe was absolutely incredible. The food was so good. All fresh and clearly made from scratch with love. I have traveled far and wide and that stuffed French toast and omelet could not be better. My omelet: bacon inside was crispy, the cheese melty, the onions even carmalized! The potatoes were cooked perfectly and had a great herby flavor! I can’t even start with the stuffed French toast. The mascarpone in there was second to none. Omg it was so good. It had some coasting for perfect crunch. Unreal. I was going to ask my boyfriend how his breakfast sandwich was but it was already gone.Our server, Ron, was a delight! Just incredible.Vegetarian options: They have a whole vegetarian/vegan section on the menu!”

“Awesome use of the space with the upstairs loft and video games. During our visit, there was a slight smell of maple and it was wonderful. The selection of beer was impressive. The only thing I would have preferred would have been an option for wine, as I am not much of a beer or soda drinker. Being able to see all the silos was interesting. The place was clean and the gentleman manning the bar was kind and attentive.”

“Our family of 4 are here today at 4pm. We were starving and Hawaiian sounded good. We had a great experience. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. We got a huge mixed plate of food to share. I was especially impressed with their short ribs and fried rice. The atmosphere is open, airy and relaxed. I'd go again and would definitely recommend for others.”

“Fantastic! My review is a little delayed but during our visit, the brewery had a food truck and a small boutique market in the back part of the parking lot. The food truck had amazing food and the retail stalls were awesome. I tried one of the sour beers, it was good but I am not much of a beer drinker. The husband and friends really enjoyed their beers though. The place was clean and the ladies manning the bar were nice, funny, and professional.”

“Cafe Mimosa is such a cute and aesthetically pleasing environment to have a cute brunch with the girls. If you need a place to take some pictures for your Instagram posts then I would come here. The food was absolutely delicious! The pancakes with fruit was amazing! The fruit was super fresh and sweet! The protein hash was also yummy! The smashed potatoes were incredible! “Chill space, with some street side seating, a handful of bar seats, and open air vibe in chill beach town. The beer is flat out top rate and has won many awards. Staff very personable and the roasted chicken salad sandwich with cucumber salad was spot on flavor wise and a healthy portion size.”

“Just moved to the area and stumbled across this little gem. We didn't have a reservation but were seated immediately. Mind you it was a Friday night at 7pm so that was a plus. They also had bar seating available and back room tables available for a short wait. Hosts and servers were all so nice The wine selection was decent and the service was great. The fresh bread the gave us with dinner was delicious and served with regular and pesto butter. They didn't skimp on the clams. the spumoni appetizer was great. Will be adding to our rotation of restaurants for date night. We ordered: Bruschetta appetizer Pasta Puttanesca Vongole with white sauce Bottle of Daou wine $50 spumoni bomba paid around 130 before tax? not bad! Place was fancy enough for date night but also causal for families as well.”

“Before my burger and fries arrived, I received my chocolate malt which was sooo scrumptious! When my food came out, I first dug into the fries and told my friend, "So these fries are some of the best fries I've had, good start." The burger may have been the best burger I've ever had. I ordered a bacon-bleu burger and the Bleu cheese is definitely worth noting. It wasn't just crumbles, or dressing, but a kind of spread that was so incredibly flavorful! It was so overwhelming, I couldn't finish. The burger was juicy, made just right at medium, the bun is exactly what you want in a burger bun. They offer grilled onions, which I opted in for. The lettuce and pickles were potentially the highest quality I have come across on a burger. That goes for probably every ingredient on the burger. I have known about this place since it opened and am extremely disappointed in myself for never making an effort to stop by!I also want to address the ratings wherein people complain about the price. Show me a place with a comparable burger for the same price or less! You can't do it. The burgers here are a true experience, and worth every bit of the cost!Vegetarian options: They have a portobello mushroom burger option that I noticed.”

“Whenever in San Clemente area and craving sushi, this local stop is an excellent and affordable stop! Their prices are unbeatable especially for a San Clemente restaurant! Always fresh food, nice portions. Delicious rolls for a well rounded and healthy meal. This is my 2nd time here and I finally left a review bc I was so happy with the meal and price. Friendly and great service too! Intimate ambiance.”

“Excellent coffee shop located right across the beach! I stayed in San Clem for about a week and went here every morning. I had the drip coffee and different muffins each morning. The coffee was always fresh with great flavor and the muffins super yummy. The shop is nice with both indoor and outdoor seating. Prices were fair considering the area and what I got.”

“This place is in an amazing location. It's right on the beach in San Clemente. But BEWARE of the parking police. You have to pay a meter on an app. It was very confusing to figure this out. In fact, both my friend and I got a parking ticket that day (along with probably 10 others.) Besides this, it's a great cafe serving Panther coffee (roastery from Florida which I have been to)...they also have acai bowls, breakfast sandwiches, toasts, juices, and many other treats and foods. My friend and I had a lovely breakfast with a stunning beach view (park, walk down the hill, plant yourself on the beach, enjoy!Do be aware that you are paying for the lovely views. I think it cost close to $18 for a breakfast sandwich and a coffee. But, I get it. It's a great little spot!”

“It started out innocently enough. My first time I just needed a cooldown smoothie on a hot day. One sip through that straw, they got me. deliciousness! Now it is impossible for me too go a week without my smoothie fix from Juice Stop. I don't know what magic dust they sprinkle in there to make it better than everybody else... but these ladies unlocked the great smoothie mystery in life. When you are ready for something better... you have to stop here!”

Neighborhood parking with a short walk is also an option”

“We have been coming to San Clemente for 30 plus years and always have stuck to the main drag. Just one block over you will fine the quant restaurant and pub called The Nomad. Ample indoor and outdoor seating creat a spacious dining experience. Our family enjoyed the outdoor deck while we snacked on wonderful appetizers and cocktails. A fantastic and relaxing experience for any nomad!”

“We celebrated my daughters 20th birthday. The service was amazing. Karcher our waiter was amazing, he was so attentive, explained the menu to us and had some amazing suggestions as well. Everything we ordered from appetizers to the desserts were amazing. Karcher was so thoughtful that upon us mentioning it was my daughters birthday he went above and beyond and brought her dessert with a birthday candle. Thank you so much.. El Vaquero was also a favorite. the drinks were yummy from the Strawberry lemonade, cokes, to the corona and the red wine to my favorite the cucumber margarita. :) The setting and the atmosphere was amazing.”

“Brief yet great experience here! Stopped in for a little lunch. I didn't order much but was treated very kindly by the gentleman in the front. The chicken dumplings were great and came with a sauce (soy sauce like) and a spicy sauce as I requested. Deserved a great review!”

“The food here is pretty good and priced relatively compared to the other nicer restaurants around San Clemente. The chilaquiles were really good and the avocado toast was great as well. The drinks were well made and decently priced. Our only concern/negative feedback would be the staffing. The people are great, kind and wonderful to be around. There were just a few moments where we had to wait a bit longer than necessary due to the bartender(the only one serving) was overwhelmed with the guests. To be fair, there were a couple of larger tables, but an additional server would have made this a 5 star experience. We will definitely be back!Parking: Riviera Restaurant is located inside the San Clemente Inn. Both the Inn and Restaurant share a large parking lot.”

Cool that they serve breakfast all day because I wanted lunch and my wife wanted breakfast. She got the cinnamon roll French toast that came with 2 eggs & got bacon. She liked it. I got the fresh roast turkey breast sandwich (turkey breast, lettuce, tangy cranberry sauce & mayo served on a roll) and it was good. I got a side salad with it and it was really good as was the dressing. We'll go back.”
