“We had intended to go to a different restaurant this night and stumbled upon Carmelita’s and I’m so glad we did! This was my first time in and everything was super good. Taste was excellent, atmosphere was great, sat outside, but beyond everything the service was remarkable. We sat at Eddie’s table and he greeted us with such care and intention, we thought he was the owner of the restaurant. He was so kind, funny, personable, and had great recommendations on the food. He even made a drink special to my preferences and assured me that if I didn’t like it, he would replace. It was perfect, and didn’t need replacement but he was truly above and beyond. We were laughing with him and we’ll definitely be back.”

“The service at Thai This is beyond compare, every employee there is friendly, helpful, and helps to create a great experience whether eating in to-go. We walked in to order to-go food and they seated us and brought us bottled water, again, service beyond compare. Now to the food, the Crispy Noodles (#1) are to die for...makes a great dessert. The Nutty Noodles chicken (#54) were great, and the Kiss Me Not garlic pork was so flavorful. They also included some tempura vegetables which were super yummy. So if you're looking for yummy food, at a great price, and with incredible service, Thai This should be your next dinner night out.”

“Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina at the hotel was a really great experience. The menu has a lot of variety, which made it easy for us to find something we liked. They have an extensive wine list, and they even make cocktails right at the table. My wife ordered the smoked Old Fashioned, and it was cool to watch them prepare it tableside.For dinner, we both got steaks that were cooked perfectly and had excellent flavor. I had the New York strip and my wife had the filet. Thomas and his team took great care of us throughout the night. It ended up being one of our more memorable dining experiences, and we would definitely go back.”

“This little quaint location off of del obispo and stonehill, dana point has been the best pizza i've tasted since living at orange county, bar none. The dough is cooked to perfection. The toppings are flavorful, and sometimes. (Rarely) i hear from customers that they get a cookie for free, courtesy of the owner.”

“Fun place, great beer, killer music, and friendly owner. Christian, the owner, is always friendly, plays great music, and will always remember they type of beer you like. Also they have a great selection. By selection, I don't mean only a variety of IPAs. They stock Belgian whits, triples, stouts, porters, lagers, and of course, the obligatory IPAs. Also have a bevy of games as well. If you see me there, open invitation to anyone who is up for a game of chess”

“OK, been near this place before with the restaurant next-door the vibe which is really good too. But Le Saint is fantastic. Had the reference “OK madame and just so French so good just what a great day to spend a lazy morning enjoying the town and enjoying good food. The service was outstanding. Super nice super kind helpful knowledgeable Patient just good people. Will be coming back again. Our next trip to Dana point.”

“Incredible smoothie and coffee. We just happened upon this spot on the way home and we were not at all sad that we stopped by. Do yourselves a favor and grab a smoothie. We will absolutely be back, and cheers to Robert for his cool ass spot.”

“I had the spicy tuna bowl. The tuna was fresh, the rice was good, and the seaweed was good, but some pieces were tough. I wish there were more in the bowl, like more toppings. Just FYI, every topping is extra. One customer got annoyed because the total was high since he added a lot of toppings. I will go back and get a custom bowl. It was pretty busy, but the line moved fast. There is outdoor seating. Parking is limited; there is a lot of street parking. Rating: 4 out of 5”

“The beach club is amazing. The beach area was beautiful and clean. The staff was very hard working making sure guests are taken care of and enjoying their visit. The beach in this area is clean and calm with a great view. When you go out to the beach you get towels, beach chairs and beach umbrella which the staff will set up for you. Very memorable visit would definitely come back.”

“The food? IMPECCABLE. I went with a large group of friends and we decided to try just about everything, sharing around the table. Yum! Best. Idea. Ever. The Ambiance was just as we had hoped - ideal for us to comfortably hang out and yap a bit. It was a perfectly fun and inviting atmosphere. The service? AMAZING. We had Mikey as our server. He was so fun, so attentive, so friendly. You'd think he was just one of our group. He made us feel welcome and watched over. I can't wait to come back to Salt Creek! And, Yes! We are asking for Mikey! So should you!”

“The server at 1:15pm on August 2nd 2026, at Dana point was so so lovely! She was so knowledgeable and so incredibly friendly, some of the best service I’ve received anywhere.

She was knowledgeable about the store, the owner and the ice cream. She double checked if I had allergens when offering me a sample even though I didn’t tell her I had any. She was super open to answering questions my husband and I had, she had the MOST welcoming, genuine vibe !

The ice cream was also bloody incredible! I had the cherry swirl and salted caramel! Very nicely priced and the best ice cream I’ve had, we’ll be back for sure !

They had many interesting flavors I’ve not seen many other places.. if any !

“Food: Sushi rolls were excellent and pretty competitive prices. My favorite was the caterpillar. Fish quality was excellent. Avocado and cucumber was fresh and sushi didn't taste like it had sugar in it which was excellent.!

Service: Sucks. They are impatient, rude, and quick to walk away and pretend they didn't hear you. For example I asked if a waiter could remove a plate. He ignored me and signaled at the busboy to pick up the plate instead. Even the busboy realized that was odd.”

“My wife and I eloped. When we left the tree we were married under we went straight to A’s Burger. It was our first meal as married couple. We unfortunately moved away from Dana Point. But we go there every time we come to town and enjoy our “Marital Burgers.” We love A’s. It will always be a special place for us. In a side not chorizo and egg burritos are the best!”

“Had heard about the “best” bagel spots in Dana Point and was eager to take my (large) family, but the ordering process was a bit chaotic and most bagels were out. In their defense this was late morning so a good sign that customers come early and often. That said, I was disappointed by the BLT which was “naked”… trying their bagels and cream cheese I had expected the BLT have at least mayo or some type of spread, but rafher I received a dry BLT. However, I will say their bagels were solid overall and the portion sizes were good. I would give it another shot next time I’m in the area.”

“This is our go-to post surf tacos. My favorite here is the special octopus tacos and the husband the birria tacos. We ordered a side of tater tots for $1.50. If you haven’t been, go. If you’re a sports guy, they have TV with sports, service is fast and it’s our perfect post surf spot.”

“I can’t say enough good things about Thai Dara Dana Point!

This is our go to spot and the food is consistently excellent and the service is amazing. Fern and Eke are the best and will make you feel so welcome and taken care of. It’s the most charming atmosphere and we’ve never had anything other than a great experience here and we’ve been going for years. Highly recommend the Tom Kha Soup, pad Thai, and crying tiger. Oh and ginger tea.

Service: My wife and I had outstanding service from Randi; it wasn't busy but she knew the menu well and was friendly & accommodating

Interior: Full bar with sitting area facing away from the ocean; many tables and some front rail seats; view of the ocean is compact due to Doheny trees but still nice; furniture is lower end and dated

Exterior (Location): Great for walking access from Doheny and the harbor

Parking: On site valet is complimentary with purchase, very prompt”

“Great ice cream with nice portions and generous mix ins as part of the flavors. Sometimes it seems like they are a little understaffed but worth a little wait. Ice cream is made on site. Friendly service. Awesome selection of flavors. It's just a walk up window so the only place to sit is a couple of benches in front. You can take your ice cream down the block or across the street and you can find a ledge to sit on.”

“We were enjoying our time down by the beach and needed something to drink. Stumbled upon Coco Bloom Coffee and enjoyed our time! I enjoyed an iced vanilla iced latte and my son enjoyed a Martinelli’s apple juice! I was shocked by how fast they made my coffee and how quickly I drank it. After we ordered, a good 10 people came in and got drinks. It’s a small shop, but it is nicely organized and has some great seating out front with fresh flowers. Staff was nice and friendly too!”

“A new matcha series is out, and I want to try all of them. I tried the matcha strawberry mint with oat milk, and the mint flavor wasn't too strong, so it goes really well with the matcha.”
