“Fun place, great beer, killer music, and friendly owner. Christian, the owner, is always friendly, plays great music, and will always remember they type of beer you like. Also they have a great selection. By selection, I don't mean only a variety of IPAs. They stock Belgian whits, triples, stouts, porters, lagers, and of course, the obligatory IPAs. Also have a bevy of games as well. If you see me there, open invitation to anyone who is up for a game of chess“

For two of us with 4 craft cocktails, and a shareable/appetizer, our bill was only $70. WOW! The view was stunning right at sunset and the outdoor patio was such a VIBE. I highly suggest this spot! Again the service was top notch and working in the event industry, I have higher than usual standards/knowledge of service and Sam especially was so personable and went above and beyond. Thank you! “We ate Sombra Cantina a few times while we were at the Waldorf Astoria. It is an excellent poolside bar and restaurant. I really enjoyed being able to order food and drinks while hanging out at the beautiful Waldorf Astoria pool! The service was great and so was the food! We ordered the Chicken Flautas and the Sombra Nachos. The nacho plate was huge! I highly recommend eating at Sombra Cantina if you are staying at the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach!“

“The beach club is amazing. The beach area was beautiful and clean. The staff was very hard working making sure guests are taken care of and enjoying their visit. The beach in this area is clean and calm with a great view. When you go out to the beach you get towels, beach chairs and beach umbrella which the staff will set up for you. Very memorable visit would definitely come back.“

“This is our go-to post surf tacos. My favorite here is the special octopus tacos and the husband the birria tacos. We ordered a side of tater tots for $1.50. If you haven’t been, go. If you’re a sports guy, they have TV with sports, service is fast and it’s our perfect post surf spot.“

They're all a scene. So it's different depending on time and season regarding crowd and staff
But that's kinda part of the fun
I found they have consistently good eats and beverages and as with any restaurant they've got stand out servers/staff and some times some duds 😋
