“Small but genuine and friendly. This is a cozy and quiet place to enjoy a really wide variety of wines. Either sip or buy exotic wines to go. We also tried their charcuterie board and was yummy paired with their wine of the week (a cabernet from Napa Valley)“
“The experience was enjoyable, the establishment was clean, and the cuisine was of high quality. The cost may be considered somewhat elevated, however, I find this to be a positive aspect as it generally ensures a more mature and sophisticated clientele. I am willing to pay a premium for such an environment.“
“Honestly. Best food in town bar none. Old school family business and exceptional Italian bistro cooking. Want breakfast? How about home made croissants, pastries and Italian espresso you can’t buy anywhere? ? Really. It’s soo good served in a delicious cup. Service is exceptional from awesome people. Letting out my little secret ?.“
“Great food and great ambiance! Most importantly the service is amazing. Our server ‘Ethan’ was so wonderful and went and above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. The food and drinks were great! I just wish there were more veg options.Would definitely visit again.Once again thank you Ethan being an amazing host to us. Kudos!!Vegetarian options: Limited options“
“This spot is a hidden gem inside Whole Foods. As a carnivore, I highly recommend their steak and eggs for when they offer breakfast, and the steak and frites for lunch. You really can’t go wrong with any of their food though. They have lots of good beer choices, and it’s a nice and clean ambiance inside.“
“Came in for lunch and I was greeted and seated immediately. There were lunch specials at fair prices ,entrees served with rice and beans, so I ordered that. Fresh warm chips and salsa were served. Food came out quickly and piping hot. Taco had generous chicken and the chili relleno was quite good. Serving CE was excellent.“
“Vegetarian options: I can't honestly speak to this since I don't pay attention to it.Dietary restrictions: I asked about ingredients that my guests couldn't have and was graciously accommodated.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessibility from the front patio, through the restaurant to the back patio and at least the one bathroom I used.“
“I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional dining experience it offered. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance set the stage for what was to become an unforgettable evening. The fusion of great food, an impressive beer selection, and live music created an atmosphere that was both elegant and inviting. The culinary journey began with a salad that was far from ordinary. The freshness of the ingredients, paired with a dressing that perfectly balanced acidity and sweetness, made for a promising start. However, it was the sea bass that truly stole the show. Cooked to perfection, the fish was flaky and moist, with a crust that added just the right amount of texture. Each bite was a testament to the chef's ability to elevate simple ingredients into something extraordinary. Not to be overlooked, the beer selection was commendable. Each option was carefully selected to complement the menu, offering a variety of styles and flavors that catered to both casual beer drinkers and connoisseurs alike. It was evident that "The Drake" places a high emphasis on providing a holistic dining experience, where food, drink, and atmosphere harmonize to leave a lasting impression. The live music added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening. The selection of music was thoughtful, enhancing the dining experience without overwhelming it. It was the perfect backdrop to a night of indulgence, contributing to the overall sense of satisfaction and contentment.Above all, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, making us feel welcomed and well-cared for throughout the evening. It's rare to find a place where every aspect of the experience is executed with such care and precision. In conclusion, "The Drake" in Laguna Beach is a gem that offers not just a meal, but an experience.“
“My family decided to eat lunch here. We had ceviche, chowder for appetizers and scallops, fish and chips, and sea bass for the main entrees. All tasty and came with great portions. All seafoods and salads are extremely fresh and refreshing with lemon flavored sauces. Servers are very kind. One downside is that fried sea bass was very dry and not tender at all. Halibut was juicy and tender but dried Sea Bass?“
“We celebrated my daughters 20th birthday. The service was amazing. Karcher our waiter was amazing, he was so attentive, explained the menu to us and had some amazing suggestions as well. Everything we ordered from appetizers to the desserts were amazing. Karcher was so thoughtful that upon us mentioning it was my daughters birthday he went above and beyond and brought her dessert with a birthday candle. Thank you so much.. She enjoyed it very much and we all did as well. From the Avina Family thank you South of Nick's - San Clemente for the amazing time. We will definitely return. 4/14/2024 Menu: Taquitos Caseros were tasty, Filet & Grilled Romaine was amazing, chicken flautas were yummy. Chipotle Dusted Sea Bass was my husbands favorite. El Vaquero was also a favorite. the drinks were yummy from the Strawberry lemonade, cokes, to the corona and the red wine to my favorite the cucumber margarita. :) The setting and the atmosphere was amazing.“
“We love going to Hanna's with our friends that live in South County. The service is always friendly and attentive. We always enjoy the food selection too. A bonus is that they do not charge for corkage when we bring our own wine. It is a great place to enjoy dinner with friends.“
“For many years was my favorite place in town. I would give it five stars, but they no longer have the blue cheese, bacon burger that I so desire. The art there is amazing and affordable. It's a real kick ass place to relax. The people that worked there are very nice. And if you can find Captain Frank you will have a loyal friend for the rest of your life.“
“A local owner (went to the local high school back in the day) who's involved in the community. Oh, and a great Cali beer selection for all tastes (changes frequently) delivered with genuinely good service. Cheers!Parking: Close to harbor, coastal views (1 block away), and many restaurants.“
“Such a fun atmosphere and excellent food! Our server Gabriel was friendly and helpful. He recommended the chile relleno and the Branzino and both were uniquely delicious. We also ordered the octopus ceviche for an appetizer and it was tender with incredible flavor. We also shared their homemade soft serve ice cream which was the best I’ve had. We shared this between 4 people and it was plenty of food. We are full, happy, and can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend if you want a great meal in a beautiful place!“
“Reservations are tightly held to provide an excellent dining experience, with counter experiences for small parties and some booths and tables for medium size parties. The owner and close staff provided us with authentically curated sushi selections, well balanced flavorful mocktails, and astonishing cocktails.“
“OPAH is a sure thing! I had the mahi mahi with the French onion soup -it was excellent! You get what you pay for & I would pay for this meal again & again! Kevin is an outstanding personable server & he is the reason we like to go! He brings professionalism to his work and is so knowledgeable. I would go to OPAH just to see him!“
“Christian was amazing, I didn't know what I wanted so I asked him. He recommended to get beef bourguignon and let me tell you.....that shiiii did not disappoint. Also his banter topped it off, I'd come here just to talk shiiii with Christian. 9.9/10 don't recommend, don't want this joint to get packed,, it is “
“I live in Riverside but come to San Clemente about once a month for work, and always make a point of getting a pizza from here. A friend recommended Pizza Port and I tell anyone if I know they'll be in the area. The pizzas are always fantastic!!! Please open a shop in Riverside!!!“
“One of, if not the best places in South OC. Great drinks, amazing food with lots of variety, and the service is always top notch. Such a great spot for any occasion. The atmosphere fits a date night, after work drinks, brunch with friends and the list goes on and on.“
“Great place. We have eaten here several times. Service and atmosphere is always top notch. The food is really good. Salads are big enough to share. It may be our imagination but while the prices are on the high side the servings seem to be getting smaller.“
“Ambience was wonderful, our waiter suburb, my lamb rack , above and beyond. My husband ordered ravioli with lobster scallops, shrimp. Really. 5 star meal and service, feel fortunate that they are here in Mission Viejo!! Love this restaurant ❤️“
“I am going to be honest, it’s taken me a long time to get to this review. To be frank, I just do not have the vocabulary to accurately describe my experiences at Broadway. I’ll get to the important details. The food, and I mean the whole menu, is fantastic. Do you see an ingredient in the menu that you think you normally don’t like? Order it. You will be blown away at how good they make it taste. There’s literally not a bad item on the menu. The staff? Some of the friendliest people I have had the pleasure of meeting. The chefs? They manage to be both highly skilled and incredibly entertaining.“
“Our meal here was absolutely fantastic... We tried the hummus and liver pate appetizers to start, our companions had the salmon and we tried the lemon sole and lamb(the Volcano). Everything was so delicious and beautifully presented. Great service and yes one could carry on a conversation...“
“Went on a Saturday night. Fairly busy, but not too crowded. It was just 2 of us, so we ordered drinks and played ping pong while we waited for a pool table to open up. Had to wait about 10 min. Server was very kind, bartender was busy and direct. Overall it was a clean place with decent tables and cheap drinks. You pay hourly for the tables. Would come back again.“
“Very lively evening, and likely due to that, the service was a little slow. Had a few cocktails all around $15 a piece and some appetizers. Everything was good, but the oysters were tiny, as were the mussels. I should have taken a photo of the oysters....Also, more bread is needed. Had to order more as two pieces was not enough for the tasty broth. The ahi tacos were bountiful and filling.“
“What a wonderful experience ! Had to come back after coming in I came in December when the lake had its Christmas tree lightening. I can't and have stopped talking about the bacon covered stuffed dates and how the food was hot and fresh in everything that was ordered. Yesterday I came in with someone who hasn't experienced and lives near the one in yorba linda. With the experience, atmosphere and delicious food he's making sure to attend his local. Miles our server was the absolute best!!! I mean just down right genuine! He was able to catch on with our humor and laugh. When you have employees like this it just makes experience being there and the people your with so much better. We also asked for his opinion on selections for our meal. Instead of saying "I don't know" he was able to pick something from each section in what he enjoys but also what other customers truly enjoy. Having this knowledge and able to share just puts a little more confidence in what you are choosing. I split the pastrami dip sandwich with my friend and we both found it down right delicious. the pickles on that amazing. The dipping sauce was amazing too and I couldn't decide to dip or not. My husband got the chipotle sandwich which was amazing especially the sauce. With that I will definitely be back-hopefully to get pictures next time- but also will be checking for miles to be our guy if he's working!“
“Our family of 4 are here today at 4pm. We were starving and Hawaiian sounded good. We had a great experience. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. We got a huge mixed plate of food to share. I was especially impressed with their short ribs and fried rice. The atmosphere is open, airy and relaxed. I'd go again and would definitely recommend for others.“
“Came here for a group lunch (4 adults and 3 kids) and had a wonderful meal! We started with salads and also their Fennel Caprese appetizer. The salads were super fresh, quality veggies and perfectly seasoned. The Fennel caprese was a delicious and refreshing starter, slices of sweet juicy orange on crisp fennel and with a creamy slice of mozzarella, and topped with pops of pomegranate seeds- flavors fondly reminded us of our travels to Sicilia. Then we had the short rib ravioli- a must-try! Tender chunks of short rib fill each ravioli, and topped with plentiful mushrooms, earthy and rich- decadent for sure (and well balanced with the salads). Our friends had the Amatriciana bucatini which was another winner- rich tomato sauce with satisfyingly salty guanciale and a hint of spice. We had their house white wine (Pinot Grigio) that went perfectly with our meal. Great friendly service - and appreciated that they let us blab away and didn't rush us for the bill (another lovely reminder of Italia). Highly recommend and looking forward to returning next time we're in town!“
“Food, u can find better in grocery store cold section.Service, u may found one of two good waiter. But the rest, lol.But If ur correct skin color, i think you may get better service. I was there for one hour waiting for my food and check. Waiters treat different people very differently.View, my hotel room has a better view.“
“Parking is valet only, which we were ok with as parking in this area is rather difficult to find. Cost to valet is only $4 plus tip, was worthwhile.Chips were warm and fresh tasting but the salsa was more like a pico than a salsa. I am good with chunky salsa, but the other members of my dining party weren't fans. I ordered a steak burrito and it was good, but not the best steak burrito I have had. It is served enchilada style, which I am a big fan of.Service here was great, we were seated right away and drinks came quickly as did the food. The atmosphere here is a bit different. While it has great ocean views and a fireplace in the back of the restaurant where we sat, there was a bit of clutter on a few of the tables just past the bar to the right when we came in, which I found a bit out of place and was taken back a bit by. I stayed as this place was recommended by a local to the area. I would probably visit again if I were in the area again, but would be interested in trying something different on the menu.“
“Had an amazing and delicious dinner with my family this weekend. We showed up at 11 and were quickly attended by our server Emily. She was great in refilling our drinks, brining the tab and recommend us the lobster garrick noodles which were so good. Also the Garden Nachos were served in a large platter so it was enough for everyone to grab. Honestly great experience for our first time here.“
“I go to the country 2 step dances lessons with Debra on Mondays and I love it!!! Debra is an amazing instructor. Christine is an excellent bartender. Its happy hour all-day Monday. I enjoy it so much that I make the drive from North County San Diego! The steak dinner for $25 is a great value. I'm so glad a friend told me about this place!“
“Service is good, food is great. I like the views from the place. It's a good place to go, I try and come here often. I feel the staff is super helpful and check on me often. Tha stmophere is incredible. Looking forward to coming back next time I play golf and I'm in the area“
“Wow! This little gem in Lake Forest. We were running errands and it was cold and cloud day so we pulled into this cozy Italian restaurant! We were greeted by Zachary. He was incredible! He has THE BEST customer service. I knew I was going to leave a 5 star review before we even ordered. My husband wanted a Bloody Mary but can't handled spicy ones. Zachary offered to bring a sample of the base and the bartender even came over to chat about it. Btw if you like a little spice in your bloody, order it! It had the best flavor and was handmade. The food was amazing, the restaurant was clean and charming and Zachary was just so good at his job! We stayed way longer than we normally would because it was so comfortable and a place where you just want to take your time. We will absolutely will be back and look forward to another perfect experience! Portions were generous, the pizza was so good, as well as the pasta fazool, amazing! Super fresh salad, bread was fresh and warm. Go here! Ask for Zachary and enjoy a cocktail by an exceptional bartender!!“
“Great place to stop in for a beer and quick bite. Can get crowded during big sports or St. Patty Day. Staff is experienced and friendly. Every food order I've had had been solid pub fare. Exactly as expected. I come often and will continue to do so.“
“Incredible romantic weekend. This is one of our favorite resorts ever! The rooms are fantastic (all newly remodeled), the scenery and facilities are incredible, and the service is first class. One of the few resorts we’ve been to recently that has enough staffing to handle every need with no waits. The beach nearby is beautiful, with chairs and towels provided complementary, as well as a free shuttle. The pool is also fantastic. The restaurants on site are also great. But be forewarned, you need reservations for breakfast.“
“Best bar I've been to. That's a bold statement Jamie is an awesome bartender. Tommy cleans the place and is super nice guy, place is literally squeaky clean. Serve bomb pizza and theirs prices are awesome!! Straight up rad bar where you can feel comfortable coming in alone. Good music, rad things on the tv. No better bar that I've been to that still existing.“
“My group and I hit up Bacchus' speakeasy, Cozy Pine, recently, and let me tell ya, cozy is right! This spot is small, like really small. If you or someone nearby is a bit on the big side, expect some bumping around. But we dug the whole outdoorsy vibe they had going on. Now let's talk about the snacks! Fried goat cheese balls? Check. Blue crab dip? Double check. Deviled eggs? Oh yeah. The only letdown was the shishito peppers - a bit on the oily side. As for drinks, I went for a mocktail that tasted like lemonade, but my group seemed happy with their choices. Shoutout to the friendly and attentive staff!“
“This small wine and deli boutique is located in a small strip just behind a gas station. Limited parking but there is handicap parking. They have metal tables outside the door for relaxing and consuming your meal. The door is covered with signage and rules but don't let that deter you from entering the establishment. The inside drink and wine area is clean and well-stocked. The organization of the products was great. As I walked to the back, to my right was a wine tasting bar and to my left was a pretty nice deli. The young lady at the cash register greeted me upon entering. When I walked to the back of this quaint deli/wine store I came to a cooler well stocked with local and imported drinks of all kinds. It's not just a wine bar. It's not just a deli. It's an experience. They had many sandwiches to choose from but I chose the sausage breakfast burrito. It was recommended by the clerk that I get some green sauce with it and she was right. The burrito was pretty big and crafted with care. With each bite, I had a taste of the eggs, sausage, cheese, and hashbrowns. Many burritos I encounter are just thrown together and rolled up where you get a different burrito in each bite. You could see the care even in the wrapping and cutting in half for easier consumption. The size of the burrito:The burrito is about as round as a Starbucks Venti cold cup and the length of a Venti Starbucks plastic straw. The breakfast burrito was cut in half for easier consumption. It took about five minutes for the burrito to be ready for me to take it to go. Total was $10.76 with tax as of 1/7/24 and was worth it.It was a lot of fun browsing the cold fridge drinks and entertaining myself with their clever names while I waited for my meal.I definitely recommend this secret wonder if you're ever in the Aliso Viejo, Ca area.“
“We walked in and got seated immediately. We enjoyed all our food. The calamari was notably crispy and light and perfectly salted. The Gu Fries was cheesey and had a complimenting soy glaze the complimented the saltiness of our ramens. The service was unhurried and efficient. The vibe of the space was consistent with the theme. I tried their mandarin sorbet and it was disappointing but still a good pallet cleanser. We really enjoyed our dinner there. This continues to be our annual stop in Laguna for a late ramen.“
“Service was amazing. Matthew at the bar was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The manager was friendly and the food was fabulous. Loved the bloody mary and the breakfast burritos. The burgers are so flavorful - especially the Bone Marrow burger. I can’t say enough good things about this place and I will be going back!!!“
“Wow I'm surprised by the negative reviews and the only reason I'm dropping a star is because of the high prices... let's be honest you can get amazing mexican food for cheaper in OC but this restaurant has the beauty. 5/5 just for the scenic location alone. Unfortunately usually when I go, families will bring small loud children and that's definitely no fault to the restaurant but it does take away from the peaceful tranquility of sitting outside. I've had some wonderful margaritas here although they don't exactly compare to San Antonio margs they are some of the best I can think of for OC. All the food I've had here was pretty yummy. It's not exactly the authentic stuff but it still taste very fresh and with each plate looking like art. The chips and salsa is addicting. I definitely will keep coming back to this true gem.“
“Nice little speakeasy. The entrance is unique and we loved the decor and vibe. The service was standard and the drinks & sushi were good but nothing to blow you away. Recommend they change to paper menus! The phone menu was hard to read and it took away from the ambiance they're trying to create.“
“Great view, good food but to our surprise a bird decided to take our appetizer which we found humorous, but the waiter did not replace the dish with a new one which we thought was a little odd considering he watched it happen. Maybe this happens more often than not.“
“I'm giving it a 5 for the staff. I briefly looked at it, thinking it was an independent rooftop bar, not realizing it was connected to the hotel. Our drinks were ok, prices were average. If you were staying at the hotel, this would be a great experience. If you were bar hoping or anything of that nature, I would go here if everything else was packed.Again, staff was incredibly nice and we stayed for them ?“
“This building was just your average bar, but the service and clientele were phenomenal!! I was in town visiting my son at Camp Pendleton for Thanksgiving. Jess didn't just give suggestions of a place to try and get reservations for Thanksgiving dinner, she called, got reservations set up, and made it happen for us. I instantly felt at home and made life long friends.“
“I went during opening and the patio setting was a beautiful atmosphere. It did get a little loud towards the end when more people were getting seated. The staff were very attentive. I recommend the skirt steak because it just melts in your mouth along with the guacamole. The guacamole is $18, but I honestly think it's an experience everyone needs to eat because it's the best guacamole I've ever had. Our server's name was Gabriel and he gave excellent service“
“We were staying at the attached Ayres and decided to have dinner close to our room...can't be any closer since it's on the 1st floor of the hotel! Ordered two burgers to our liking and it arrived quickly at our table by the kind and attentive waitress. Was worried mine would be raw, but not! It was perfectly cooked. Seems like a great place .“
“The place is beautiful and the lounge is comfortable and inviting. We sat at the bar and our bartender (Isabel) made the most fantastic Martinis I think we have ever had. Very enjoyable evening with the piano music and atmosphere. They comp't our parking and the Valet had kept my vintage Corvette up by the entrance and it was waiting at the door when we walked out. We were made to feel very special.“
“OC Local is a big, clean, beautiful place to have fun and relax. Families, couples, singles, groups, and dogs are all welcome here. They have something for everyone!Troy and Patrick run the place, and they are wonderful people. Even when they're busy, they take the time to greet everyone personally.Good food and great drinks. The tacos and nachos are my go-to choices for food. They have so many beers on tap that is hard to pick a favorite.“
