This spot is a hidden gem inside Whole Foods. As a carnivore, I highly recommend their steak and eggs for when they offer breakfast, and the steak and frites for lunch. You really can’t go wrong with any of their food though. They have lots of good beer choices, and it’s a nice and clean ambiance inside.
NOSTALGIC LUNCH ! When my wife and I moved to University Heights in 2011 we were so lucky to have a Whole Foods Market just down the road in Hillcrest.....and we loved it ! Great craft beer, top quality food, friendly service and they had an in store tavern on the corner called 7th Avenue Pub. WE LOVED IT ! It was our regular lunch / dinner stop for great burgers, craft beers and even live music at night. And then we moved to Solana Beach in 2015 and had another Whole Foods Market...read full review

This is one of our favorite spots to eat. Such a bummer they changed the menu we have frequented a lot less since then but we used to go two to three times a week. Hoping they change it back or add more of what they used to have on there.
