“We celebrated my daughters 20th birthday. The service was amazing. Karcher our waiter was amazing, he was so attentive, explained the menu to us and had some amazing suggestions as well. Everything we ordered from appetizers to the desserts were amazing. Karcher was so thoughtful that upon us mentioning it was my daughters birthday he went above and beyond and brought her dessert with a birthday candle. Thank you so much.. She enjoyed it very much and we all did as well. From the Avina Family thank you South of Nick's - San Clemente for the amazing time. We will definitely return. 4/14/2024 Menu: Taquitos Caseros were tasty, Filet & Grilled Romaine was amazing, chicken flautas were yummy. Chipotle Dusted Sea Bass was my husbands favorite. El Vaquero was also a favorite. the drinks were yummy from the Strawberry lemonade, cokes, to the corona and the red wine to my favorite the cucumber margarita. :) The setting and the atmosphere was amazing.“

“I live in Riverside but come to San Clemente about once a month for work, and always make a point of getting a pizza from here. A friend recommended Pizza Port and I tell anyone if I know they'll be in the area. The pizzas are always fantastic!!! Please open a shop in Riverside!!!“
“Our family of 4 are here today at 4pm. We were starving and Hawaiian sounded good. We had a great experience. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. We got a huge mixed plate of food to share. I was especially impressed with their short ribs and fried rice. The atmosphere is open, airy and relaxed. I'd go again and would definitely recommend for others.“
“Best bar I've been to. That's a bold statement Jamie is an awesome bartender. Tommy cleans the place and is super nice guy, place is literally squeaky clean. Serve bomb pizza and theirs prices are awesome!! Straight up rad bar where you can feel comfortable coming in alone. Good music, rad things on the tv. No better bar that I've been to that still existing.“
“Came here for a group lunch (4 adults and 3 kids) and had a wonderful meal! We started with salads and also their Fennel Caprese appetizer. The salads were super fresh, quality veggies and perfectly seasoned. The Fennel caprese was a delicious and refreshing starter, slices of sweet juicy orange on crisp fennel and with a creamy slice of mozzarella, and topped with pops of pomegranate seeds- flavors fondly reminded us of our travels to Sicilia. Then we had the short rib ravioli- a must-try! Tender chunks of short rib fill each ravioli, and topped with plentiful mushrooms, earthy and rich- decadent for sure (and well balanced with the salads). Our friends had the Amatriciana bucatini which was another winner- rich tomato sauce with satisfyingly salty guanciale and a hint of spice. We had their house white wine (Pinot Grigio) that went perfectly with our meal. Great friendly service - and appreciated that they let us blab away and didn't rush us for the bill (another lovely reminder of Italia). Highly recommend and looking forward to returning next time we're in town!“
“This building was just your average bar, but the service and clientele were phenomenal!! I was in town visiting my son at Camp Pendleton for Thanksgiving. Jess didn't just give suggestions of a place to try and get reservations for Thanksgiving dinner, she called, got reservations set up, and made it happen for us. I instantly felt at home and made life long friends.“
“Nice little speakeasy. The entrance is unique and we loved the decor and vibe. The service was standard and the drinks & sushi were good but nothing to blow you away. Recommend they change to paper menus! The phone menu was hard to read and it took away from the ambiance they're trying to create.“
“I visited JD's for a private party and it was just a relaxing perfect location. The food was a Taco guy and a dessert table which was perfect for this 5pm-9pm event and was completely family friendly. Even my dog was able to attend, not sure if it was because it was a private party or if they allow them until about 9pm. When I originally asked about if he was welcome they got back to me with in about an hour off their website. I was impressed by how quickly they responded. This is a great place to hold an adults birthday party or an engagement party or even a divorce party.... OK OK I just like a reason to celebrate and get people together. Thank you for even having cornhole upstairs it was great!!!!“
“Awesome burgers, great tots. I got the Landers burger, asked for Jack instead of Cheddar. Tasty pickle. Very crunchy tots. Asked for 1000 Island for dipping. Awesome date. Street parking was some on a Sunday afternoon. There are simple to use parking machines. Like 3.00 for two hours. A simple walk to the beach. Total cost for two awesome burgers, tots, tip & parking... 40 bucks. Great date.“
“I went to karaoke on Tuesday night. First time visiting. Had a blast. Bartender Holly was amazing. Very friendly and accommodating. Makes us feel so welcomed. Ivan the KJ was awesome. The security guy was also very friendly and accommodating. The place is very clean and has a great ambiance. We get to meet a few regulars and all were super friendly and nice. We will definitely return.“
“For many years was my favorite place in town. I would give it five stars, but they no longer have the blue cheese, bacon burger that I so desire. The art there is amazing and affordable. It's a real kick ass place to relax. The people that worked there are very nice. And if you can find Captain Frank you will have a loyal friend for the rest of your life.“
