“Great food and great ambiance. Really appreciated that the patio was warm and cozy (overhead heaters) even on a cold rainy day and that the staff kept it open just for us - very accommodating and great service. We ordered 5 small plates for the two of us and loved the chile relleno and mushrooms “

“Went yesterday to check this place out. Ordered Bahn Mi with Dip. The dip was not pleasant tasting. I assumed it was Pho broth. It was not. The second item was Chicken curry and it was superb! Perfect balance of coconut, lemongrass and curry that did not overwhelm. A beautiful marriage! Also ordered papaya salad and spicy mango salad. Papaya lacked flavor of any kind: sour, salty, spicy. Bland. Mango was however tasty, fresh and zesty. It complimented both the bahn mi and the curry. Need to work on the papaya salad though. Fir drinks we ordered a herbal lemonade? and Vietnamese coffee. Very good especially the coffee had none of that cigarette butt burnt aftertaste which I hate! It tasted like the old style Vietnamese drip coffee, fine and smooth. The packaging should be noted and complimented. All the dishware were paper except for the drinks which were plastic. Even the lids were paper! Thank you for being eco-conscious! The ambience is outdoorsy with plants and trees providing shade and some degree of privacy. Felt like a little oasis in a commercial complex called the Campus which has various businesses like fitness center, clothing stores and other eateries. My ONLY issue is with parking. We tried in vain to find space but after going around twice, decided to leave the car with a valet service which charged flat $7. People in their cars were blocking the lanes hoping for someone to leave. One asked if we were leaving and told them "Valet". Not worth wasting time to save $7 when most seemed to afford fancy cars! Yeah, parking. That would be the only deterrent to comeback, to save $7 for parking.“

“We had such a great time this last weekend. The food was all so good, we got almost all the sides like brussel sprouts, crispy cauliflower (amazing), asparagus, truffle Mac and cheese and appetizers as well such as the charcuterie board which was quite delicious.I had a filet which was cooked perfectly to my request and had such good seasoning and sauce as well. We also tried their handmade pasta which was also very good and light tasting. We can't wait to go back and try more food and get more of the crispy cauliflower. My only criticism was it was very loud in the restaurant, so at times it was hard to hear each other at our table. But you can see everyone just having a good time together at their tables. But we will definitely be back for more!“

“Honestly this is a spot that has been timeless in West Costa Mesa especially for those of us who live on the best side of CM! They just reopened last year and were terribly missed post Covid.Excited to hear that the menu is going to be remixed very soon as they already have some solid plates that never disappoint. From a Po’Boy that reminds you of Nawlins’, to an unchopped salad that really hits the spot during artists hour, you cannot go wrong dropping in for especially a drink. The mixology in this place is insane with old school drinks to new school libations made with your favorite booze. The music is usually beyond on point and is a good break from some of the pretentious spots around it (menos Garabaldi…si sabes tu sabes jaja).I always drop in to host friends or fam from out of town as I wish I could be here every week! Do yourself a favor and keep it real when on the West Side and hit up West End!“

“Went on a Thursday night after the original place I wanted to dine at was closed and boy was I not disappointed!!Per the waiter’s recommendation, I ordered the bells cocktail and grain bowl. And i’m so glad I listened to their recommendations! The cocktail was unique and not overly sweet; perfectly balanced. The grains bowl was beautifully presented and the flavor was divine! The overall freshness and portion of each component was perfect. I go out to eat to enjoy meals that I wouldn’t or can’t make myself, and this was truly something I could not make any better in my own kitchen. I was skeptical of the quinoa at first because when I make it the flavor profile is soso, but here they really seasoned it well and it carried the delicious veggies it was topped with. I’m grateful for such a flavorful plant based / vegan dish at a reasonable price for the portion. The service was also awesome. I asked for something to add some spice to the meal and was presented with not 1, not 2, but 3 options! The Serranos and chili sauce were the perfect additions to an already flavorful dish.I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends and family, and will be back the next time i’m in Costa Mesa.Thank you for making quality drinks and even better food! Also bonus points that I was able to bring my puppy with me to dine on the patio!“

“Nice hidden gem. Looks nice inside, dimmed setting with concert stage in the next room. The only thing that could be worked on is the men's bathroom. I personally am a dive bar guy, so I'm used to $hitty bathrooms. This one is a $hitty dive bar bathroom that doesn't complement the test of the venue. That's the only thing bad I could say about this place. Good vibe and good crowd on the Wednesday night we went to see Sunny Sweeny, County singer.“

“This place is a home type atmosphere they surve quickly with a smile, you are definitely treated like family. The food is home cooked mexican food. This place has been around a long time for a good reason, good food, good service, and reasonably priced. They were really busy when we were there and still got waited on in a reasonable amount of time. I was told that their drinks especially the margaritas were really tasty but a little pricey. I bet by the second one the price doesn't really matter.Over all a great place.“

No food here, but they allow you to bring in outside food. The DJs here are top notch. Depending on what's going on, there may be a cover charge.Parking is the only potential negative. Often we have to park across the street and do the run to Kitsch.“
