“We found Avila’s El Ranchito on-line and decided to give it a try. We had about 45 minute wait so we knew it must be good. A little mix up in the list to be seated. There was another “David party of 2” that arrived AFTER we did but they jumped at the chance to be seated before us. The staff was very friendly. The portions were large enough that we shared a meal and were plenty satisfied. The food was very delicious. The salsa was not what you would call mild so for those with sensitive palates be aware! The atmosphere was loud inside but relatively quiet outside. We would dine at this restaurant again.“

“Couldn't find an all-vegan restaurant in Laguna on a Monday evening (so disappointing), so drove out of our way to SeaBirds in Costa Mesa, and lemme tell you, it was worth the extra time and gas money!! Yossi greeted us with a smile and recommended the homemade pesto rigatoni with almond cheese and toasted gremolata (I chose to eliminate the seitan sausage crumble) -- absolute perfection, and my new favorite meal! Since I live 40 miles away, I rarely get to enjoy this place, and I normally order the purple potato taquitos, but stepped out of my comfort zone and so glad I did!!! Then came the homemade vanilla soda (don't forget to stir it) -- a sweet, nostalgic sensory delight! I rarely have room for dessert, but we tried the famous churro waffle with vanilla ice cream and chocolate drizzle (called a chaffle), and the chocolate avocado mousse with homemade oreo crumble -- ohmygoodness!!!! Both disappeared faster than we'd like to admit. I love the food here so much that I would crawl back on my hands and knees for another meal if I had to! Outstanding food and service, and proof that exceptional vegan restaurants still exist -- thank goodness! 20 out of 10 stars!!!“

Kept in consideration that I was eating solo, so when a seat at the bar opened up, it was given to me.

As soon as I sat down, my server confirmed what I wrote and I KID YOU NOT, my food was in front of me a minute later. There was water on the table on front of you so you didn’t have to ask for refills, and all the extra condiments were on the table as well. I simply got to enjoy my food and just had to ask for the check and paid on my way out. This was my kind of dining!“

“I had the GOAT cheese with peach salad. It contained goat cheese, sliced peaches, lettuce, mint, basil, roasted almonds, chicken, pickled onions and a dressing on the side. The salad was perhaps the best salad I have ever had. It was super fresh and all the flavors came through spectacularly. You could taste the mint, the basil and everything else. This is a limited time seasonal item. I highly recommend this one.“

“We came on a busy weekend but we found a seat at the bar and we were attended too fairly quickly. We did the recommended wine tasting and we enjoyed each glass. I like the idea of pouring it into a tube to go with the theme but I do enjoy an extra pour when it’s poured by hand to be honest lol but it was a great vibe over all I would highly recommend stopping by for a tasting if you are in the area. Very affordable. Parking can be terrible but it’s worth supporting local businesses I say.“
