“Such a gem of a coffee spot! This cute little neighborhood café has quickly become one of my go-tos. They have a lot of different flavors so you can customize your cold foam. Everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully made. Their cold brew is bold but super smooth no bitterness at all 👏 and they have tons of great milk options from Straus.
The vibe is welcoming, perfect for grabbing a quick morning coffee or hanging out for a bit. You can tell they care about quality and the small details. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and want something that feels local and special! 🌿☕️✨“

“One of my favorite coffee shops of the OC area

As soon as I stepped into the cafe, I was met with a high ceiling that was a refreshing break from more of the low ceiling office spaces that I had been studying in. The layout and decor is well put together with the napkins, coffee cup sleeves, and utensils being easily accessible and out of the way from any lines that may form. I’ve also delighted in the presence of board games and enough seating to host these board games! The space is fitting for any who seeks to study with enough accessible outlets within reach wherever you sit. There’s also a maker space area right next door, and in a sense because there is no closed doors between the cafe seating area and the maker space market - it just makes the space feel even more spacious!

I ordered an iced chai latte spiced with nonfat milk. It came out to be $6 for a large cup size. I took one sip and all my worries for the day seemed to have melted away! Praise God! It was incredibly thoughtful to have stickers placed on the drink so that you would know who made your drink. The staff are all kind and hard working - God bless you all.

I want to be back to try the other drinks because it seems like there’s a new seasonal drink incorporating mushrooms, which I have not heard before.

“Stopped by The Moon and loved the vibe! The minimalist, the inside aesthetic is beautiful and perfect for relaxing or do some work on computer.
The Pistachio Croissant was flaky and fresh, and their green tea drinks are really good with high quality matcha from Japan.
I really appreciated that they can adjust the sugar levels in their drinks, my Black Sesame Latte was perfect and not too sweet. Great service and even better pastries! 🥐☕️“

“A Wonderful Discovery in Costa Mesa

As a new customer at The Lost Bean in Costa Mesa, I couldn’t be more delighted with my experience. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed into a space that is clean, well maintained, and peaceful — perfect for relaxing or getting work done.

The coffee is excellent, crafted with care and consistency. The food is fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Everything I’ve tried has been outstanding.

What makes this place even better is the staff, especially a gentleman named Chris. He is kind, sincere, smart, and attentive. He creates a welcoming atmosphere and seems to play a major role in running the shop.

The entire team is friendly and helpful, but Chris stands out. I hope the management team recognizes him and lets him know he is appreciated. He makes a big difference.

Because of him and the great environment, The Lost Bean has quickly become one of my favorite places in Costa Mesa.

“Great cafe to study at. Outlets are only close to a few seats. Banana matcha was great, the cream on top was a tiny bit too sweet for my taste but I loved the quality of the matcha. Staff are really friendly and generous about explaining the menu to you.
It has maybe 5-6 small round tables (one of which is close to an outlet) and one big table that seats 6 (one seat is outlet accessible) and two cushion seats (one of which is close to an outlet).“

Clean bathrooms, glad there is a code on the doors to keep it that way.

“Came here around 1:30PM on a Tuesday to sit down and study. There was a good amount of seating available and there was no line. The barista was able to take our order immediately. She was very kind and was willing to answer any questions regarding the drinks. We ordered a sweet matcha latte and strawberry matcha. It didn't take long for our drinks to come out. Both drinks were on the sweeter side, but if I had to choose I think I prefer the strawberry matcha. I think I would like to try the ceremonial matcha or matcha cloud 9 next time. Not sure if I'd totally recommend the 2 drinks I tried today just because they taste just okay, nothing over the top or anything. It's not the biggest cafe location but there is stool seating and seating against the window (there is more seating than the photos I attached, I didn't want to take photos of other people). Wifi is also available and there is a nice clean bathroom too. Overall, might come here again since it seems less busy than other cafes nearby.“

“I've now been to the Costa Mesa and Irvine locations. I loooove this spot. The shaved ice is perfect delicate sweetness and texture. Service is pretty quick, even when they're packed. Also tried the mochi waffle this time and wow wow wow. I'll be returning soon with my kids because I want them to be able to share on the epic deliciousness.“

“This outdoor cafe in the middle of the performing arts center is convenient and reasonably priced. The drinks are certainly cheaper than inside. Also the bartenders are excellent and will make you any cocktail they have the ingredients for. The food menu is updated regularly. Currently they have a nice mix of sandwiches, flatbreads, and salads.

“Love our experience at Eightfold Tea Shoppe this past weekend. The girl working was very efficient and was straightforward with us letting us know that the drinks were going to take a little bit longer than usual as there were several orders ahead of us and she was the only one at the moment. It was definitely worth the wait, the drinks were made to perfection; good balance with the tea taste and sweetness. We ordered the Earl grey cheese cream and mango swirl.

“I was visiting from Santa Maria & walked to this location from my hotel two days in a row. Staff was pleasant & efficient. No complaints! Although I didn't drive there or use the parking lot, it was very poorly designed & the parking spaces are tight. It's a very busy location with constant traffic & the parking lot is very small. Most cars parked crooked & took up 2 spots which was very selfish on their part.“

“The Eggs Benedict, pesto chicken sandwich and pancakes were all very good. The staff did a good job managing the line up of customers during the Saturday morning rush. Parking is at a premium here, so check out your options before arriving.“
