“My nose found this place before my eyes did. I'm standing out front after business hours; I am smelling something DIVINE, like country donuts in the fall, during apple season. The lights are out in the dining room and the bakery is empty but there is a gentleman in the kitchen busy at work. He's baking something magical, for sure!
I've never been to Blackmarket Bakery, nor have even heard of it. As a diabetic, I don't often go in search of these kinds of establishments, for obvious reasons. But this place found me!

“I knew this place was good because I went to the first one they had at Arcadia mall and it was the best cheesecake i've ever tasted. I decided to get the flavored ones, Matcha and Ube and both were so yummy, a great dessert to bring to a party and it is already made as soon as you get to the store. I would definitely recommend getting these flavors and I want to get the Oreo one next time too. They even offer a stamp card. So light and fluffy, I can actually eat it all to myself.“

“Poul’s Bakery took our breath away , we couldn’t believe the cake we have taken pictures from we have searched the internet images and sent it to her the custom cake we wanted , and not only she made the identical one ,the taste was so delicious actually finished the entire slice, it’s rare for me to eat the whole slice, as many cakes are made with to much sugar , it overwhelms to entire cakes other ingredients, this was so perfectly balanced ,and l asked for second , so did few guests , we as host wished we ordered the bigger size , we don’t like the buttercream topping due to its excessive sugar , we ordered her soexisl topping , while you others ask no buttercream but we want Poul’s Bakery special topping we heard so much about it , sorry l don’t remember what it was called . My bad ,this Poul’s baker we also find out been around for decades as she is the second owner but uses the same original recipes. She said it’s a company secret Lol, we respect that Try Poul’s Bakery , it won’t s sidelong you and ask for a sample of their fantastic cannolis . And on the spot in events she actually make the cake front of your guests . We never tried that but people are ranting about it and went at viral with millions of views and shared ,,we saw it in her website . Lupe, Joe, and Rosie always make sure they offer quality (delicious!) custom cakes and bakery items from cookies to cupcakes and more. I always get our specialty, custom cakes from here and all of my guests and friends look forward to it. They are my favorite bakery in OC, but I bring their creations with me across the country. “Its outside Macy's mall entrance on the 1st floor. Food is delicious, drinks were yummy, too. Not as sweet as you'd expect. There is a counter with layered options, and an open fridge with quick take home options. Eveything is very mindfully wrapped and survived my ride home after shopping for 2 hrs. There were plenty of tables and its quiet enough to socialize. The seats look uncomfortable, but theyre not.“

“At Moulin, I ordered the almond croissant, Mille-feuille, and a cappuccino. The croissant was 5/5! Very airy and crispy with a good amount of almond filling. The Mille-feuille cream filling was too sweet for my liking but the pastry part was very crispy and nice. The cappuccino came with a little piece of dark chocolate which was a sweet touch.This cafe is sort of hidden in a small outdoor plaza with a number of home decor stores, a couple restaurants, and little shops amongst a business area. I like the location as it's not crowded and has a number of outdoor seating, there was a live performer on the Saturday I went too! There is plenty of parking.“

I have tried several different brands of desserts that are touted for their clean ingredients and for eliminating the most common allergens but nothing has come close to Nowhere Bakery quality and taste! My order arrived today and I was so excited that I tried two item, the brownie and the chocolate chip cookie. My mind is blown! They taste SO good, like normal desserts and they didn’t cause my body to react (I’m extremely sensitive to what feels like everything). I already excited and can’t wait to order my second box of goodies to have on hand for those night that I’m craving dessert. “Love our experience at Eightfold Tea Shoppe this past weekend. The girl working was very efficient and was straightforward with us letting us know that the drinks were going to take a little bit longer than usual as there were several orders ahead of us and she was the only one at the moment. It was definitely worth the wait, the drinks were made to perfection; good balance with the tea taste and sweetness. We ordered the Earl grey cheese cream and mango swirl.

“I’m a major fan of local coffee shops that show creativity and care about their product. The server was polite, informative and surprisingly fast with our order. The drinks and breakfast sandwich were delicious and although the atmosphere is nothing special it’s a pleasant spot to meet.“

“i found the Challah bread in the store and kept buying it every week. after a few months i stopped seeing it in the store so i looked up the bakery just to find they are a mile away from my house. when i saw all the other baked goods they had i was very happy. i tried a few things but i cant find anywhere a list of baked goods they make. every time i see more and more things that i cant recognize but the smell is just amazing. if they watch this i would love to know how to get a list of what you make.“

“J. Sweets is located inside the Mitsuwa Marketplace in Costa Mesa. I’ve purchased many items for gifting but my top 3 favorites to gift are the Royce chocolates, the Yoku Moku “cigar” cookies, and the Hokkaido Shiroi Koibito. The latter is one of my favorites as it reminds me of my very first trip to Japan where I first tasted these delicate cookies.

The service is always very pleasant and the workers are very helpful with recommendations when you ask them.

For a small shop, they offer quality products for gifting that will sure to please those new or familiar with the product. It always leaves the recipient with a smile!“

“They used to offer a uniquely special omelet cheese bread with a jalapeño option as a daily option and it would sell out every day. Now it is just special order but it is worth the trip and the special order. Enough so that when I travel from out of state, I schedule time nearly every trip to get to French's after calling a day in advance for the cheese bread, extra cheesy. It is about $7 a loaf and well worth it. Imagine a firm, pillowy textured bread with strong veins if golden cheddar mixed throughout a moist egg based dough. The mouth feel is excellent and the cheesy, slightly salty taste results in a total loaf being consumed as a meal substitute. Very hard to put down. Almost as if a deliciously cheesy quiche morphed into a loaf of bread.French's was hit hard by covid and had to consolidate some stores. I worry some day it will no longer be around, similar to the classic Claim Jumper of old (bought out and commercialized elsewhere into a shell of its former self).This is a bread that a cheese monger or bread lover should try before you die.Other than that, French's has a large variety of baked treats, bread and they make excellent custom cakes. It might remind you of an actual French bakery you might encounter in Saint Germain.Trust me and treat yourself to this delicacy, a treat I haven't encountered anywhere else.“

The ordering and pick-up process was very smooth and Scott was extremely helpful and responsive. Unfortunately the bakery wasn't able to add any personalized message but it looked beautiful with some candles! The cake was moist and the strawberries were very fresh. Hope to visit again!“
