“Poul’s Bakery took our breath away , we couldn’t believe the cake we have taken pictures from we have searched the internet images and sent it to her the custom cake we wanted , and not only she made the identical one ,the taste was so delicious actually finished the entire slice, it’s rare for me to eat the whole slice, as many cakes are made with to much sugar , it overwhelms to entire cakes other ingredients, this was so perfectly balanced ,and l asked for second , so did few guests , we as host wished we ordered the bigger size , we don’t like the buttercream topping due to its excessive sugar , we ordered her soexisl topping , while you others ask no buttercream but we want Poul’s Bakery special topping we heard so much about it , sorry l don’t remember what it was called . My bad ,this Poul’s baker we also find out been around for decades as she is the second owner but uses the same original recipes. She said it’s a company secret Lol, we respect that Try Poul’s Bakery , it won’t s sidelong you and ask for a sample of their fantastic cannolis . And on the spot in events she actually make the cake front of your guests . We never tried that but people are ranting about it and went at viral with millions of views and shared ,,we saw it in her website . “We stopped in on a recent vacation to California. Growing up in Okinawa, I hadn't had Japanese cheesecake in over a decade. I appreciated the quick service and the cheesecake hit just the right spot. I appreciate that they are not overly sweet like many other places I have tried. We got a stamp card from them too which was pretty cool. I even got a cake as a gift and it traveled well back on a plane. I will definitely be back when we visit again!“

But other pastries like mille feuille and lemon tart were incredible. Best mille feuille I've had in OC! There's no place to sit inside the cafe, but you can take your food and pastries to the general complex with portola etc, and there's lots of open seating spaces there“

“I visited Yakun after reading the Korea Daily feature, and honestly, it felt less like a typical dinner and more like a carefully crafted experience.

Yes, it is definitely not a cheap omakase spot — but after the meal, I completely understood why. From the moment the first skewer came off the binchotan charcoal grill, you could taste the level of detail, technique, and intention behind every course. Nothing felt rushed or overly flashy. Everything was refined, balanced, and thoughtfully paced.

What impressed me most was that Yakun doesn’t try too hard to be trendy. The atmosphere is calm, intimate, and confident in its identity. You can really feel the chef’s philosophy throughout the entire course.

If you are looking for a casual quick bite, this may not be the place. But if you appreciate craftsmanship, premium ingredients, and the kind of dining experience that stays in your memory afterward, Yakun is absolutely worth trying at least once.

“I went out to Frenchies in Newport Beach off of The too good to go out and oh my God they gave me such good stuff and the lady said I wouldn’t regret having driven from Garden Grove to Newport Beach and she was right for the amount that I paid our received such a great variety of muffins and cookies , Cheesecake, pastry, and apple pastry that was just so good. Looking forward to going to the Frenchies closer to home.“

“i found the Challah bread in the store and kept buying it every week. after a few months i stopped seeing it in the store so i looked up the bakery just to find they are a mile away from my house. when i saw all the other baked goods they had i was very happy. i tried a few things but i cant find anywhere a list of baked goods they make. every time i see more and more things that i cant recognize but the smell is just amazing. if they watch this i would love to know how to get a list of what you make.“

I have tried several different brands of desserts that are touted for their clean ingredients and for eliminating the most common allergens but nothing has come close to Nowhere Bakery quality and taste! My order arrived today and I was so excited that I tried two item, the brownie and the chocolate chip cookie. My mind is blown! They taste SO good, like normal desserts and they didn’t cause my body to react (I’m extremely sensitive to what feels like everything). I already excited and can’t wait to order my second box of goodies to have on hand for those night that I’m craving dessert. “Way better coffee than the chain coffee shops, and Chai is delicious too. They offer two chai selections, vanilla and spice, or mix the two. Small selection of pastries, which are average, packaged protein bars and juice shots, and a few breakfast items on the menu. Will try one of those next time.
