“Had a great breakfast here! My wife had Linda's avo toast and I had the cowboy omelette (can't resist when I see kielbasa on a menu) and both were great. They also had a nice selection of bakery items and unique lattes and teas. Our service by Susie was excellent! She was very sweet and took great care of us. You can tell she takes pride in the restaurant! Definitely worth a stop - the lunch and dinner menu looked great too.“
“Not sure what Mr.BuffettSoCal was talking about. seems like he just likes to write creatively. I did not experience any of whatever amusement park he was talking about. I came here yesterday and bought the 12 piece tray. I selected a variety of cakes and a couple jellos. i must say all of it is so so tasty. the store inside is small and humble, family owned. Appeared clean and service was so kind and helpful. she showed me the different sizes and little cakes i could order. all of which was packed nicely. steamed cakes came with coconut sauce and sesame seeds. I will definitely be back here to this little gem.“
“I wanted my daughter to taste Armenian food like I had growing up, and assumed I'd be driving to Glendale until I found this place on Yelp. We got a lamb and chicken kebab combo plus a bunch of bakery goods to go. Food was delicious, albeit I'm more used to this crispy butter soaked Borek, but theirs was good also.“
“I saw the sign from Magnolia Street! I stopped in for a: *polvorone cookie...DELICIOUS! It paired well with my latte I got elsewhere. *mocha tres leche cake slice...YUM! The smell of fresh baked goods immediately welcomes you! The woman behind the counter was so nice and helpful. I felt like I was a friend entering her bakery. I would totally visit again and tell my family and friends to buy their baked goods. They sell pizza too. I will have to try that next time. It's a small little store front. It's in a shopping center with a CVS, nail salon, and Goodwill Store. There is plenty of parking. I went at 3:30pm on a Thursday.“
“I would like to give a great recommendation for this Polynesian Store that specializes in Samoan cuisine. Now, I am Samoan and I have no clue if Kathy and her husband are related to me because Samoans are closely knitted depending on what village you come from. One November day in 2023 my girls came home from their Saturday run to Costco and brought some plates from a new Polynesian Store that cooked Samoan food, in Garden Grove, and near me, I live in the City of Orange. It was not bad at all, especially the price. They did not weigh the food. However, you get no choice of dish going into the plate. Whatever they have cooked that day is what the contents will be in the plate. The same concept if you were buying a plate from a relative that was doing a fundraiser selling the plates for $20 dollars, and they did sell the plate for under $20, like $19 and change. The plate I got that day, had lamb flab curry and I do not eat lamb flab. I was glad to give it to my girls who love it. My oldest son was actually the one who discovered it when he went to POUASA'S store in Carson to get some coconut milk cans and they told my son to go to OCI. My family has never been there before. My son just picked up the cans of pe'e pe'e and did not try the food a loyal Pouasa customer. He did try some of the lamb flab and now has been going there regularly. Although we love Pouasa, OCI is more convenient because it is closer to us and we like that the plate was not weighed. A+ for sure to the Chef. On the last Saturday of December 2023 I have initiated our first annual "SUCCESS DINNER" for my children. I hosted a dinner to congratulate all my babies with all they have successfully done and goals they have completed this year. God is good and many thanks to our Blessed Mother Mary for helping with my babies. So proud of them. So for breakfast we had an authentic Samoan menu with green bananas, taro in coconut sauce and onions, palusami, scrumptious mouthwatering succulent baked turkey tails with garlic honey or teriyaki glaze that had all my babies humming and licking every sticky sauce off their fingers. My only regret I should have ordered 100pcs. The chop suey was not enough, and the pagi popo. My youngest 6 mons grandson ate some taro and palusami blended, his first time having any Samoan food, my daughter could not keep up with the delay of scoops, and my grandson was kicking impatiently and hummed himself to sleep. He absolutely loved it. Thanks Kathy and Mr. F. (For the life of me I forgot your name, sorry.) This business deserve FIVE STARS the moon and the sun. Thanks for making my Success Day for my children so special and delicious. Looking forward to December 28th for our 2nd Annual Success Day 2024 to have your delicious food again. Prayers for your business continue success and may this year be ready for our Samoan Breakfast order on the last Saturday of the year. Happy New Year OCI Polynesian Store.God bless,The Soesoe Family“
“This place is the cutest cafe decor I have seen, all in PINK flowers and decor you could take a bunch of little girls here and they would love it! There's even a pink horse they can sit on to take a picture with a pretty backdrop!! Mochi donuts are lighter than Korean Mochi donuts but this place makes theirs absolutely delicious! It is more of a mochi donut and Vietnamese coffee place where you can sit down there, relax and enjoy a variety of yummy flavors, more than other mochi places. If you have a little girl or a special someone who loves Japanese Mochi doughnuts, this is the place to go. After, have your meal at BCD Tofu house next door! Ask if you can order donuts individually because I was not given that option?“
“C R E A M P U F F S (insert anxious yet excited shouting) Once upon my first time I had 12 in my box, and now there lives only 6 Deliciously light and airy, delicately sweetened custard. Just perfect. I warn those who want to grab some as a gift to another... cream puffs may not make it to its destination Quality/taste: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Location: inside shopping center CASH ONLY“
“A restaurant down the street ignored me waiting for a table so I drove away and found Dorada Restaurant. I am so glad I did. They have a simple menu with only a few breakfast plates prepared in the traditional way. My Spanish is limited to food (la cuenta for favor!) but the ladies were friendly helping me order. I ordered the chilaquiles plate. It reminded me of a chilaquiles plate in Mexico. It had all the elements and streaky fresh scrambled eggs.!I can't wait to try Dorada for lunch.“
“We ordered baekseolgi Bites with the hundred symbol and rice cake party favor boxes for our child's 100 days celebration. Everything turned out so nicely and delicious. They were able to make the hundred symbol on the baekseolgi bites in a pretty tan brown color. The staff was really nice and easy to communicate with. Their pricing is also very reasonable, $80 for 25 baekseogi bites and $7 per party favor box that comes with variety of rice cakes. I highly recommend ordering your rice cakes from here and we'll definitely be ordering from here again.“
“I love the rice cakes from here and it is always the standard! Usually, the service is always amazing and sweet like visiting your Grandma's house. Unfortunately today, had a negative experience with customer service on how they were snappy and a bit rude on top of not serving the people in the order they came in, but more the loudest.“
“This review is only for their coffee. They've become my weekly ritual for their Vietnamese coffee and specialty coffee like durian puree coffee! The coffee is fragrant and slightly bold. If you're with a friend, the value is great at buy 2 get 1 free. It's unfortunate they're located next to the door to QT Plaza where the smokers are, but just order to-go and you're good! They're friendly to you if you're friendly to them as well!“
“I was around the area and was recommended to this by a local and MMMMM this place was good. I picked up 2 of each, egg and ham bread, pork floss bread, and hot dog bread, and ham and cheese bread. I stopped by around 930 in the morning and the bread was so warm and freshly baked! All of them were delicious although their sausage bread is not as good as PB. Overall, awesome quick breakfast option if you're in a pinch. It's in the boiling crab plaza, plenty of parking, nice and friendly staff. Will definitely visit again next time!“
“If you wants lots of Korean barbeque at a combo price, this is the place to go in Garden Grove Koreatown. Eclectic mix of meats grilled right in front of you like those in the know. The atmosphere is crowded on some days, and not on others, it depends. A great place to introduce Korean barbeque to a newbie.“
“So let me start by saying this is a vegan ice cream place. That means the prices are going to be higher than your standard ice cream place by principle. That said, this place is my guilty pleasure due to my lactose intolerance. It's nice not having to worry about that. I've been here maybe 10+ times, they have a selection of about 12 ice creams (remembering from memory), they're a combination of unique flavors and the standards for picky kids. On top of that you can choose a topping (like sprinkles, Oreo crumble, Cinnamon Toast Crunch) and drizzle (like chocolate sauce, caramel, or some other thing that I don't care about because who wouldn't choose caramel?). The location is cute, I've used this place countless times to wind down after a date, and the service has been kind every time. In summary, it's a little more expensive than chains but it's more ethical and just as tasty, plus a little homey. I try to get away from it due to its price but I keep coming back for that dang cookie sandwich with cookie butter ice cream (yes double cookie sue me) with caramel drizzle and shortbread crumble...“
“Love their fruit tarts. We have been eating their fruit tarts over 30 years. They used to have a bakery in San Gabriel. But they closed for many years. We have to travel to Garden Grove to pick up the cake. So we don't order it very often. Once a year maybe. Still our favorite fruit tarts.“
“Fantastic place in Garden Grove. This place has it all if you like Vietnamese deserts, lots of sweet things to be had along with some savory too. Don't go in here and shop when you are hungry as you will end up buying more than you need.“
“The cupcakes came out adorable! I almost didn't want to eat them, but I'm glad I got these for my son's holiday party. Everyone devoured them! Thank you so much for fitting us in within this busy week! We'll definitely be back. The man on the phone was polite and helped me handle everything.“
