“My first time here was around spring break and we went on a Friday around 10 am and there was no line, plenty of pastries! Today (Saturday) was my second time, I was worried there would be too many people but as others have said, the line moves at a good pace. It took a min, but I was able to find street parking kinda far away but I don't mind the walk. I went around 10:20 am and by 10:35 I was inside. While waiting they passed out some chocolate panettone samples which was so nice of them! I was able to score everything I planned to buy, my rosemary focaccia, cinnamon croissant, croque moniseur, chocolate croissant and tomato cheese danish! I was so happy they weren't sold out, there was plenty of everything. I'm not a morning person but going around 10-11 am worked out for me. The quality is amazing and the staff is so friendly and attentive. Everything came out to be around almost $70 but I do think its worth it! I just wish they had a parking lot since I do have some driving/parking trouble. Make sure to check out their instagram for status on their lines and goods, they're always updating which is awesome!“

“Dey’s Donut and Croissant Shop is such a unique and refreshing spot! What makes it stand out is that it’s not just a bakery it feels almost like a gym café with an impressively large variety of food and drinks to choose from. Whether you’re craving something light after a workout or treating yourself to a fresh pastry, they’ve got you covered.
The drinks are definitely a highlight here. They use fresh fruit in their blends, and you can taste the quality in every sip. Smoothies, juices, and specialty drinks are made with care and never feel watered down or artificial.
On the food side, the donuts and croissants are perfectly balanced flaky, fresh, and flavorful. Pairing them with one of their fresh fruit drinks makes for a satisfying combo whether you’re stopping in for breakfast, a midday snack, or a post gym pick-me-up.
Overall, Dey’s offers the best of both worlds: a wide range of tasty, high quality options in a setting that feels energizing and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!“

“They were very responsive to emails. I first filled out web inquiry and got a reply on the same day. They were booked for tasting appointment very fast so make sure you contact them early as they only have appointments available during the week Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays between 1pm and 6pm. Saturdays from 9am-4pm. The tasting appointment was an hour long and it's FREE!!! Some other places I looked at will charge you for tasting and even though the tasting charge might be deducted from final order, it made me feel much better when there was no cost to start with as wedding was already expensive. The place was a little bit hard to find since it was office-like looking from outside and I thought it was bakery-like. They have parking lot. My husband and I tried so many different favors of cake and they were so delicious. We had a hard time deciding which ones to get because we had more than three favorite. During the appointment, they also showed you what style of cake they offered and its pricing. We went with the basic so there was no add-on cost, but they can custom-make your order if you show them pictures of what you want with additional cost (and trust me the price is fair). We ended up ordering a 3-tier ice in white buttercream cake with 12" white with mango, 9" almond with cappuccino & chocolate mousse, and 6" mocha chip with rosy mauve ribbon around tiers for 100 guests for my wedding. They emailed us a week before the wedding to confirm there was no changes and the order was correct. The cake was delivered on time and was decorated with fresh flowers my florist provided on site by the delivery staff. (If you have cake topper, you can either drop it off to the shop or have it installed on site by delivery staff. Either way, you need to let them know in advance so they can make sure your cake is structurally stable for the cake topper weight.) My wedding cake looked pretty and it tasted good. I received lots of compliment from the guests. On the side note, they would charge you more if you use American Express credit card. And you only need to pay deposit on the site but they don't have online system for you to pay the remaining online. Since we didn't have cake topper to drop off and did not want to make another trip just to pay the balance, we paid it in full the same day of tasting. This would be two suggestions for improvement, but they still deserve a 5-star for their service, the quality (taste/look), and the friendly price. Ohh and did I mention that you do receive a complimentary one year anniversary cake? That's for sure a big PLUS since my husband and I were too busy to have our own wedding cake at our wedding. We are very looking forward to our one year anniversary! All you need to do is to contact them 3 weeks prior to your one year anniversary to place the order. Give them the date of your wedding and the name the order is under and they will pull up your file and place the order. Yup it's 3 weeks, not 2 weeks. They are definitely getting busier and that's how good they are! If you are still looking for wedding cake or cake for any event, this is where I would recommend.“

“Love the cakes here! I got a Yule log (Bûche de Noël) cake this time for Christmas and it was a hit. Very beautiful cake and it was delicious, not too sweet. The decorations were cute, too. Only thing I wish is that the decorations were edible haha.“

“Moses Bread in Tustin is excellent. The bagels are fresh, well fermented, and full of flavor with a great crust and soft interior. I’m very picky about my bagels and this bagel was perfect! Definitely one of the best sourdough places in SoCal!“

“This place offers a consistent churro, time over time. It's not the greatest churro I ever had, but it is pretty good. THere's always a line but it moves fast. They run out of the dulce de leche topping early in the evening every time though. I went there as late as 10:30 PM to get my churro and I live over 30 minutes away from there.“
“BEWARE OF homeless people and tweakers . Definitely come visit during the day here. Coffee is delicious, my favorite is the horchata/Vietnamese coffee. i had to take a break from this place because i would spend too much money here lol. ive gotten a few pastries from here and live up to the taste. the workers are so sweet and have compassion for people. this place makes me want to open my own coffee shop.“

“El Metate Panadería is a charming local bakery with a welcoming vibe and friendly staff. While most of the staff speak little English, they’re kind, patient, and eager to help with a smile. The display is full of delicious Mexican pastries, all freshly made and smelling amazing. From conchas to empanadas, everything looks and tastes homemade. The quality of the baked goods is impressive, especially for the low prices. It’s a great spot to grab a quick treat or a box to share. The place has a no-frills, authentic feel that adds to its charm. Don’t expect fancy service, but expect to leave satisfied. It’s a hidden gem for anyone who loves traditional pan dulce. Highly recommended for a casual and tasty bakery stop.“

“El Panadería Pastelería is a hidden gem for pastry lovers. They offer a great selection of tasty pastries at very affordable prices—definitely a bang for your buck! The staff is friendly and helpful, and while knowing a bit of Spanish makes things easier, the warm service and quality treats make it well worth a visit either way. Love coming to spots like this that feel authentic and budget-friendly!

“This place has been here for a million years! I moved and away and hadn't been in the neighborhood for about 30 years... it was a pleasant surprise to see it alive and well. It is owner operated, and they're a major reason why this place is so popular... we all grew up seeing them... they've always been really nice.“

“I highly recommend their custom cakes, especially for themed events! I recently ordered a Cielito Lindo-themed cake, and it came out absolutely perfect, even better than I imagined. The design was spot-on, detailed, and beautiful, and the flavor was just as impressive. They truly listened to what I wanted“

“Their ham cheese egg is really good. My son tried and says it's 👍 Gave them a $15 tip. Like many Cambodians owned donut shops, they work hard for their donuts with egg prices flours and the inflation going up, support small businesses.“
“Come and try the bread that my father (left), Don Venancio Bautista, made! These are his recipes! He made the best conchas, bolillos and everything else. His connection to Acambaro, Guanajuato, Mex, a city known for its breads, was strong! If you ever bought bread at Galvez Bakery, El Nopal Bakery (Central and Halladay, 1970s-1980s), or even at La Flor De Mexico in Oxnard (1960s), then you know the history of this delicious bread!“

“Man pan dulce has gotten expensive! But then again, what hasn't? The pan dulce is pricey, but at least you get large sized bread that is pretty good! $4 for a cheesecake bread is on the high side, but the flavor makes up for it. As a matter of fact, I'll see you later. Going on a pan dulce run!“

“Rosa's is an authentic artisan bakery. The bread, cookies and traditional baked goods are an art that's not being passed down. Rosa's is a true gem in the city I found just by chance and am so thankful I did. Everything is fresh and they also sell oatmeal and cofee. I can buy a gallon of milk or gelatin or a whole flan on my way to work or home. Not sure why people complain about the prices when they are competitive, prices are up everywhere. I pay $10 for a loaf at the Jewish bakery and a baguette at the Vietnamese bakery is $5...the bread at the market might be five-ten cents cheaper but they have no substance-density. Take care of jems like this they are disappearing...children of the owners dont wanna be bakers or chefs...be nice and enjoy this place it has so much to offer...“

“We were on vacation in Newport Beach when we stumbled upon a farmers market and found this bakery. My husband is gluten free and we are always excited when we find a treat he can have. He said it was one of the best brownies he's ever had! Will definitely find this bakery again when we visit.“
