This review is only on the bread as it was a X’mas gift. At first I didn’t understand how on earth a loaf of bread can cost $18 and being packaged as a gift?Well, I followed the instruction on best way to enjoy it. I finished 1/2 loaf in December and froze the other 1/2.Now it’s January, I took out the other 1/2 and let it defrost on its own over the counter, then sliced a thick slice, gently toasted and enjoyed it daily. Is the shokupan really expensive for bread? Yes. But is it worth trying atleast once? Also yes. We've gotten it a few times now - average maybe 4x a year whenever we get the cravings. Ginza is located in a ghost kitchen location - so you can park out front, order at the counter, and they'll bring out the bread. There is some seating indoors and on a patio outdoors. It is not vibey though - the outdoor seating is next to large trash cans that are often overfilling...
Really good fragrant, soft, fluffy Japanese milk bread. It operates out of a ghost kitchen where you can pickup in person or from your car. Expensive, but worth it once in a while as a treat.
