“LOVED the pizza - crust and toppings were perfection. It was recommended by the staff - spicy Thai. Also got pepperoni and cheese for our vegan kids. There were zero slices remaining for leftovers so we had to take an entire pie to go to have more for later. Also the coconut cake and strawberry cake both were great (not too sweet which is appreciated). Hope we are back again soon. Updated from previous review on 2026-10-18“

“5 stars for weekday happy hour specials! Popped in before a show at Segerstrom. Made a reservation on Opentable and when we arrived at 5pm there was already a line forming for the happy hour section. We ordered the $16 flatbread and sips: pesto chicken flatbread paired with generous size cosmo martini. Also ordered from the $8 small plates special: goat cheese and 3 piece steak lettuce wraps. Service was fast and friendly, food served hot and generous in portion for happy hour. There used to be live piano entertainment - there wasn’t on the night we went. They were showing baseball playoffs that time. We will definitely return when we go to a show again!“

“We've used Taylor Made Cuisine a number of times for corporate catering, and the food is spectacular! I highly recommend the BBQ, and their Hero Sandwich is always a hit with our attendees. While their food shines, the service is where TMC really knocks it out of the park. “HI, I have to be honest. I was trying to find a way to contact Flappy Jacks as I have a proposition I think would be perfect for Flappy Jacks I have what is probably a bit of an unusual idea. Or maybe just a good idea. I know it is an unusual way to contact you but there was no email address. So I hope this works. I am from Columbia Missouri and I am visiting my Son, Grand Kids, and family there, just a few blocks to the East of Tustin. I am a musician, part time, and I like to street busk (play music on the streets) for grins. I noticed your nostalgic decor and your Elvis statues and the mural featuring the St Louis Arch, which is in Missouri on the Mississippi, of course, where I am from, and the 1930s, 40s and 50s nostalgia, and I wondered if you ever considered, or entertained the notion of having a little nostalgic live music, every now and then, perhaps even if only just once as an experiment. I just happen to play that old classic blues from that era, mostly, at least in this capacity, as Mr. Fletcher's One Man Blues Band. And I thought we might make a pretty good match up. As I said, at least, as an experiment. You can check me out at Facebook "Keith Fletcher, musician." Though most of that music is from my original music shows, and not my one man blues sets. I noticed you had a nice patio area where I could play outside and it might be a nice treat for your customers to have a bit of entertainment, just for a change of pace. They might really appreciate it since they obviously like your atmosphere. I don't play loud music. Unless folks want that, but I prefer to play soft. Or at least in situations like this. I've been the house band for BBQ joints and restaurants on several occasions. So I am familiar with the proper decorum. Mostly I was just looking for a little music adventure in CA within a walking distance of my Son's house, where I could carry a very tiny amp about the size of a cracker box, and my guitar to a gig. I thought maybe about just doing a street gig but saw your venue and something seemed to click. I hope you think so too. I estimate you are about a mile walking distance from his house and I only need an electrical plug. And probably some cool beverages. Like I said, I'm mostly in it for a small musical adventure, and so will play for tips, though, maybe you can pay me with free cold beverages, especially if it is hot, and maybe a sandwich or meal depending on how long I am there. It all looks delicious to me. If you find you'd like to host me again, and want me back, that might be possible over the week, and I may be back for the Christmas holiday. I might even be able to talk my Son into bringing the kids and family. Could be a total bust, or could be a very nice thing, but nothing ventured, nothing gained. Who knows? If it worked out well enough for both of us, you might even want to do it again sometime, Maybe even offer some kind of fee next time, if there is a next time. Life is an adventure. You / we, might stumble onto something good. If you would like to give it a whirl, what day and time would you think is good to catch a crowd? “Way better coffee than the chain coffee shops, and Chai is delicious too. They offer two chai selections, vanilla and spice, or mix the two. Small selection of pastries, which are average, packaged protein bars and juice shots, and a few breakfast items on the menu. Will try one of those next time. Friendly staff that you don't mind tipping, and cute, simple decor. Plenty of free parking.“

“We met friends at Rockwell for lunch. My wife had the burger and I had the Buffalo Chicken sandwich. Our friends had the burrito and the tacos. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The server was ok but her busser, Daniel, was amazing. He joked and made us laugh and took our picture. He elevated the experience.“

9/29 update: came back for the Tuna Melt, ate within 7 minutes. No notes, 10/10 would recommend, try with hot sauce.

10/1 update: Tried the Turkey and Ham panini, very warm and delicious. Great with Cholula hot sauce. Oatmeal raisin cookie was okay as I don’t like raisins. 10/10 no notes would recommend.

10/8 update: Tried the Chicken Primavera Melt, bit tangy and as if you’re eating pasta in a panini form. I’d assume it would be even better with hot sauce but I was too lazy to grab it. Chocolate cookie was immaculate. 10/10 no notes, would recommend.“

“I came here right before closing (annoying, I know) looking for a chocolate bar I saw online called The Conscious Bar. Came for the chocolate, stayed for the story. I asked the owner too many questions about the shop and she patiently answered all of them explaining her vision is more than just to run a successful cafe but also to be a light in this community. I'll be coming back to try all the patries. It was very clean and comfortable inside too. Like an Oasis in the wilderness that is Valley View and Rosecrans.

UPDATE: I got the bottled honey oat latte and that was really good. Being lactose intolerant, it was nice to have something dairy free ready to grab and go instead of having to special-order it.

Also tried the blueberry cream cheese Cruffin. This is refrigerated because of the cream cheese I think. Cold croissants aren't usually that good, but this was light enough to enjoy cold and it has already been devoured, would get it again, but probably better with a hot drink. I bought a few more of the Conscious Bar chocolate bars.“

We got an assortment of pastries, so far the donut, Twix bar, and rugelach are amazing! “The last hidden gem in Costa Mesa. This easily tops waiting for chick fil a down the street. I let the cashier guide my order because I was too tired to come to a decision. He suggested the special which was wise of him because it includes 4 karage (tender fried chicken thigh) a potato croquette, 3 cali roll pieces and a salad with potato salad, excellent for a post 9 hour work day meal. My pregnant wife got the 5 piece karage and said it changed her life for the better. I didn’t take pictures because I was so in awe and in the moment. It was photo ready. The food comes out RIPPING hot. Which made us so comfortable eating there, especially pregnant knowing they make everything actually fresh to order, cooked to appropriate temperature to ensure food safety. Not just marketing fresh, there is nothing siting here waiting for you to order, this is not fast food. They tell you it’s going to take a few minutes and it’s worth the wait because they do not compromise on quality here. With that being said it’s not even that long and I will no longer be visiting chick fil a when this place is open and it’s much healthier.
