“A quaint macaroon shop, right on the California 1 Highway in Laguna Beach. After 24 macaroon varieties, all of them are gluten free with many dairy free. Each bite explodes with flavor, but is a perfect balance of sweet flavor and soft texture. As a coffee fanatic, the Colombian coffee macaron definitely hit my taste buds. Friendly staff and a warm-hearted atmosphere as you enter.Street parking is extremely limited in the area, so you may have to find a paid parking lot and take the walk to reach this macaroon and candy shop.“

“Really enjoyed the food and service here. The atmosphere is cute. The desserts are luscious. The only problem I had here - and it’s a big one - was the family sitting behind us. We were outside. It was a Sunday afternoon. The family consisted of about 4 or 5 adults and one toddler. The lone male was obnoxious. He treated his server poorly. He complained about how long the food took. Then he complained about the child’s food. The server asked what was wrong with the child’s food. Answer - it’s just macaroni and cheese. The server constantly tried to make everything better by groveling to this awful family and then taking a good portion off the bill. Instead of being grateful for the experience of being able to eat at a restaurant in a quaint town the family was ungrateful and privileged. Maybe in their country restaurants bow to every complaint someone has because they own a Gucci bag but not here. I’m also disappointed that the restaurant allowed all this complaining. They should have simply taken off the child’s food amount and taken the dish away and brought them the check. These are not good patrons to have, especially around people like me. I felt terrible for the server.“

Even coming in later in the day, there's always a great selection of delicious treats, and excellent service. As a long time aficionado of BREAD over in Santa Ana, I have to say....I come to Saffron for my baguettes now. No shade to bread, they're still amazing! “My dogs favorite place to get meal toppers and camel milk. She’s very picky and have a very sensitive stomach and nothing else works. She drinks camel milk daily to relieve itchy skin and her poop is perfect every single day! The staff there is super knowledgeable and friendly and it’s literally the cutest pet store you can find in the world. Their treats and bakery is top notch too and I even got her a birthday cake. “Came here over the weekend after wanting to try Giselle's for years. I was greeted by Alex, who was very kind and knowledgeable on the various treats. I purchased a couple of the PB&J protein bars and the chocolate protein bars. So yummy! PB&J was my favorite of the two. Major brownie points for being gluten free and 100% organic. “Ellie's Table is a great little spot if you want a nice little brunch/lunch/snack/pastry or coffee with a quaint cafe vibe. We love Ellie's whenever we come to the OC. We used to go to the San Clemente location before it closed. This was our first time at this location. Food: 5/5 We ordered a variety of things here and each item was wonderful. I ordered the brunch burger. It was cooked to perfection and practically melted in my mouth with each bite. We also got some pastries and the lucky charms cappuccino. Everything we got was wonderful. Atmosphere: 5/5 This place has a very nice little cafe vibe. There is some seating indoors, a cool little private area upstairs and some nice seating outside lining the building. It's a nice place to hangout and visit with friends or loved ones while enjoying some food and coffee in a relaxed environment. Customer Service: 4/5 One of the employees seemed a little irritated that she was there while she rang us up. But, overall the service was ok. She was young, so I doubt that it is like this with all the employees all the time. Price: 5/5 The prices here are great for what you get. I got a massive burger with a sunny side egg for only $14. The nice palm sandwiches are only $3.50! They have items for if you want a full meal or just a little snack. They are all priced very well in my opinion. Parking: 3/5 There is a tiny parking lot behind the building. If you can't park there, you are looking for street parking or parking in another lot in the Downtown San Juan Capistrano area. This place is such a nice little OC gem. I highly recommend if you are on a trip or even a local!“

“Simply Sweet Cakery was one of the wedding cake vendors through our wedding venue University Club by Wedgewood Weddings. Brooke and Christina were a delight to work with and so organized! To be completely honest, we actually did two different cake tastings because we were a little concerned with the cake texture during our first tasting and we wanted to try some additional flavors. We ended up choosing two cake flavors: lemon raspberry and red velvet. Let me tell you...I was completely blown away by the final product on our wedding day. The wedding cake was actually a priority for us, but let me tell you...it was delicious!! During our cake cutting, I stuck my fork in the cake for another bite because the initial bite was THAT GOOD. It wasn't overly sweet and the texture was spot on and so moist. So so happy that they were one of the preferred vendors of my venue!!“

They’re delicious and they rotate the selection constantly which makes it fun. Their pasta is made in house, so we love going for dinner as well. I’ve tried several of the pasta dishes and I’ve never been disappointed. I could ramble on forever. Just make reservations (you have to call at least 24 hours in advance) and leave a little extra time to park. The lot in the back is small and if you can’t find a spot there, you’ll need to street park.“

“Great place for someone vegan and gluten intolerant. I had an açaí bowl regular size and it was very generous, full of fresh fruit and gluten free granola which made it sweeter.The açaí itself was pretty sweet on its own so I would probably not take the granola next time. The açaí was the correct consistency. Not completely frozen like some places serve it but very cold like a thick smoothie which is how it should be served.Service was great, nice chilled vibe and you can tell it’s not a huge chain but a local business which makes me want to come back and try some of their other bowls, coffees and bakes.“
“I came across Shadi's yelp page when I was searching for a bakery to make my wedding cake. I noticed that the options were limited in the area but came across Shadi's page which showcased really nice looking cakes therefore I explored more. I spoke to Shadi briefly, and then followed her ordering process. We had a very intimate wedding of 50 people in total therefore cake tasting was not an option. This meant I'd have to take a risk. I decided to take a chance on a Shadi cake. Let me tell you, I'm so happy I took that chance. The cake was gorgeous and exactly what I wanted. I ordered a double tiered chocolate cake, with vanilla whip cream and fresh raspberry center and a vanilla buttercream frosting. The cake was moist, fresh, and absolutely delicious not too rich or dense! The whipped cream and fresh fruit was very light with the perfect amount of sweetness. What I saw were two customers cussing and shouting each other out while the service workers were just shocked at the interaction. One customer was telling Ash Cuessy's Father not to be rude to service staff who were simply doing there job. I stopped by the shop to get a sense of what they were about and spoke with Penelope's husband who was so passionate about his wife's cakes, I ended up ordering an 8' vanilla butter cream cake. Per their instructions I let the cake sit out for what turned out to be a little over 5 hours before serving and I have to say, this is, without a doubt, the best cake I've ever had and it's not even close. He bought me a banana bread and a vanilla cake with strawberry The banana bread was a little dry but the taste was still good. It was a little more solid than we were used to. The birthday cake was fantastic. It was moist and soft and the cream was delicious!!! There was a layer of strawberry jam in it. And I can't stop saying how delicious thay was. “This is my first time trying their cakes. All the Kdramas they eat cakes and I am not a fan of cakes. However, I thought to try it at Tous Les Jours since it is inside the HMart shopping Center. I asked the server which she preferred if I am not one who likes too sweet? She encouraged me to try their Blueberry Yogurt. I love this location because they have a variety of cake slices to choose from and you don't have to buy just 1 cake at $40 and up! You can try various slices because they are so confident you'll come back. I can't have dessert's without coffee, I ordered their Hot Americano which paired with their cake slice? It was AMAZINGLY delicious! What did I like about this cake? It was light, fluffy and tastefully delicious! A cake that isn't heavy or sugar loaded, is that possible? Yeeeees! Finally I found a place that's not heavy on the sugar. Calories it is about 300 and up per slice. Their hot coffee? It was not too dark but more of a breakfast blend and spit on. I look forward to coming to this bakery every visit and trying out each of their flavors so I can decide which I can buy as a whole cake! I have tried Paris Baguette but their cakes are more in the middle where it is somewhat light but they put too many fruits inside and there is still weight to their cakes.
