“Always use this place for a special occasion. Service is always phenomenal and inviting. Never have been disappointed with recommendations and meals here. Best steak in OC”
“So much fun! Came here for my birthday and they did everything right- food, ambiance, staff, etc”
“We had another fantastic night at Wine Gallery. The food was amazing, just loved the Coq Au Vin and the Scallops. We also got to do a wine tasting with Hartford Court Wines with the owner on site to talk about the winery. Couldn't have been a better evening. Great food and wine, and as always wonderful service from everyone on Chris' team.”

“Biryani Hunter is one of our favorite OC Indian restaurants. Family run and freshly made to order, each dish unique spice and flavor profile is exquisitely delicious. Service is thoughtful and accommodating. We love the butter chicken, Tandoori shrimp, Dahi Puri, Samosa, Sweet and spicy cauliflower, Lamb, garlic naan…every dish is spectacular. You will be back over and over again!”
“I use to go to RH with my family in the 70's. Atmosphere always transported us to Hawaii. They were famous for BB ribs, drinks, unique salad (with mayo dressing) and even served a bowl of crudite' with celery, salami, etc. every meal. I didn't like the modern re model, however, NOW THIS RE BUILD iS so cool! Just like the 1970's but better!! Dim lit and Hawaiian music set the mood. I was really anxious to try the ribs again. The service was GREAT appetizer excellent but, ribs, BAD! They were not edible. Hard and chewy, like beef jerky. I was so disappointed and all of our party ordered and received the same. I may try again but won't order ribs!!!”

“This place is such a gem. I seriously loved it!! The pizza was so delicious with the perfect thin crust with a blistered and crunchy crust. Bonus points for the gelato and their awesome drink selection (canned + bottled options, and even mimosas). We had an amazing meal here!”

“To start Kathleen as a host was delightful, and welcoming, next, we had Chad as our server and he made you feel like anything you wanted he would make it happen. The service was over the top. The rigatoni was delicious.”

“🔥 Must-Visit Cozy Sushi Spot
Loved the cozy atmosphere—perfect for a chilly night! The sushi is top-notch with generous, thick cuts of fresh, soft fish. Service was lightning fast; hot dishes (like the delicious sizzling black cod) arrived with the sushi. The only slight miss was the A5 Wagyu, which was chewy despite its great umami seasoning. Overall: Excellent food, great service, and highly recommended!”
“restaurant worth together🥰🥰”
“The Lumberyard located in beautiful downtown Laguna Beach is a great place to have lunch or dinner. There is a new $16 lunch menu and I decided to try the fish tacos. There was a choice between salmon or halibut for the tacos which included shredded cabbage with a pink cream sauce and a side of black bean and corn salad. I chose the halibut for my taco and it was cooked perfectly. It was a generous portion of fish in each of the tacos so it could easily be split with a friend. The service was excellent. Our orders were taken within about five minutes of sitting down and the food came out quickly after we ordered. I would recommend the Lumberyard if you are visiting Laguna Beach. You will need to have reservations during the Art Festivals or when there is a play at the Playhouse.”
“Really cute vibey restaurant tucked in a quiet corner. Has a very cute patio. The burger we had was EXCELLENT and especially the French fries were both crispy and airy. They were really tasty. This was on the happy hour menu and really cheap.
They also have dj nights and lots of Argentian wine. Very nice, affordable place. Will come again”
“Such a great spot in Laguna Beach! The Marine Room Tavern has the perfect mix of laid-back coastal vibes and elevated comfort. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the service is genuinely friendly, and the drinks are always on point. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual bite or settling in for a relaxed evening with friends, it just feels like one of those places you want to come back to. Bonus points for the location and people-watching—Laguna at its best. Highly recommend!”
“Food was delicious and service was fast. Only outdoor seating and walk up window to order. Perfect spot to grab a bite before the pageant of the masters about 10 minute walk from there! Steak Street Tacos beans and rice were excellent. A little disappointed they had run out of the jerk chicken. We will have to go back to try it!”
“I enjoyed the smoked spare ribs and the spicy stir fried prawns with veg Dessert was great too”
“The vegetarian rolls are so flavorful and the staff is super friendly! Definitely going back.”

Takeout Restaurants
“I ordered a grinder and my husband got a classic sub. I thought I was going to love mine with the extra flaky bread but it wasn’t warm (which is what I assumed it would be) and the cream cheese wasn’t the vibe. I tried my husband's and the oil, vinegar, mayo, and mustard combo was tastier. I’ll be back but I think I’ll get a classic sub versus the cream cheese/ grinder one!! All in all, these Sammie’s slap after hitting the beach.”
“Anastasia is an easy yes when you want something clean, balanced, and genuinely satisfying. I ordered the Greek salad with grilled chicken and a side of vegetables, plus two poached eggs and extra egg whites. Everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned, not greasy, lots of crunch, and the kind of meal that leaves you energized instead of weighed down. You can tell the ingredients are treated simply and with care.
The ambience is relaxed and bright, very Laguna, and the service is quick without feeling rushed. It’s an ideal spot for a casual breakfast or lunch, especially if you’re coming from the beach or running errands nearby. Super convenient location, consistent food, and a menu that makes eating well feel effortless.

“GREAT food! Some of the best ramen I've had.
Vegetarian and vegan options - if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions definitely let them know when you're ordering so they can accommodate. One of the included ramen toppings is narutomaki (fish cake) even if you get the vegetarian/vegan broth; so if you tell them what you can/can't have when you order they can relay it to the kitchen :) . The service is great and everyone is friendly and happy to help! It's a busy, cute, place but the bar seating is comfortable and they are quick to get you taken care of.
Shoutout to their yummy matcha ice cream cone as well <3”
“We came for dinner on Sunday night and got seats at the sushi bar. Chef took our order and promptly rolled the sushi in front of us. He said he is from Northern Japan, and a pro at rolling and chopping the good stuff. We'll be back! 🍣”

“Delicious menu and excellent staff! I’ve visited this Rye Goods location a few times and can’t say anything negative. The coffee is fantastic—which is hard to find in this area. My favorite menu item is the “Seasonal Fruit Ricotta Toast,” always prepared to perfection. Definitely worth a visit!”
“Great food, especially for the price in Laguna.
This Finneys location is particularly enjoyable, being one of the only 'watering holes' in Laguna, comprised of 30% locals every night.
They have great bar tenders overall, however there is high turnover. You'll be lucky if Kelsie is at the bar to serve you. The group of locals that rack it up 6-7 days a week were extremely disappointed to learn that she is temporarily only working 1 day per week. She contributed greatly to building the community here and its unfortunate that I won't be seeing as many locals as a result.”
“This wonderful little restaurant is the gem of South Laguna. if you're in the area, you owe it to yourself to stop by and try it out! The food is delicious and they offer a wide variety of dishes. I've been going there with my wife for over 20 years and never once had a bad meal. Papa's is also one of the best take outs in Laguna Beach”
“This place is tasty. Very sugary sweet treats, but yummy. We ordered one bar and one soft serve type, but the soft serve is a way better base. The girls working the ice cream shop were young, but attentive. But, they had no AC in the shop which was really brutal with our hot summer. I asked one of the girls about the heat and she said the AC broke. But, you're in Laguna Beach, charging top dollar, have a busy flow of people non-stop and have ice cream and workers that need to be supported with cooler conditions. I hope the owners chopse to address the cooling conditions.”
“The staff member that helped me (purple hair and a nose piercing) made my first visit to Poke Tiki so pleasant that I want to go back. Their communication was clear and they helped me make such a delicious poke bowl! We need more customer service and kindness like this person—they made me feel welcomed. The bowl was tasty with fresh fish and great toppings. 10/10 would recommend if you like a relaxed food spot with nice people around.”

“Always past this spot when visiting Laguna Beach. Driving for over 5 hours I was craving for a burger. Bouncer was cool and a vibe so we knew it was going down inside. Juanita was busy but took time to let us know we can sit anywhere. Immediately after we sat down Juanita smiling and making sure the table was clean and even pulled chairs over so we can have the room we need. U wanted Don Julio repasado. Only had 1942. Lowkey wish they had other Don options and more tequila options in general, very limited. However ordered Casamigos with soda water and 2 splashes of pineapple juice. Both drinks was made to perfection. Typically my order is pretty straightforward but often get too much soda water or to little pineapple juice. This was just what I needed. Ordered Irishman burger, onion rings, and extra plate. Food came out and Juanita executed with burger and fries split. Food was great, atmosphere had great energy with smiles ,laughter and a live band. Even got graced with Santa. Definitely will be back.”
“Jersey Mike's never fails me. I love walking into the BHC store and being welcomed by the friendly staff! They're always fast and very nice. My usual are #10, #8, #9, and, of course, the #26. They make my sandwiches and have me on the road in no time. Gar and Kabrin are rockstars!!!”
“The best restaurant with mussels in South Cali. Highly recommend!”
“Now 237! Love the Karaoke on Tuesday with Eammon and Peggie as well as the Drag Show on Wednesday hosted by the incredible Nomi B. Low! Drink and food specials are 🔥 😋”

“Love Neapolitan! Great service. Terrific selection. Our pizza was so tasty - crust and light sauce Yum! The Caprese Buratta was fresh and creamy. Fabulous, decadent dessert options. Very nice wine and beer list. Will return. Definitely recommend.”

“The atmosphere is a wonderful and relaxing change from the high tech look of too many restaurants today. It's softly lit and comforting. The food is excellent. The branzino was cooked perfectly, the side dish of french lentils was a treat and the apple pie delicious. It's a treasure.”
“Very long wait times. Terrible customer service and overall, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had in my life. The waiter messed up our order and argued with my wife about how he did not mess up the order and continued to argue with my wife, which further upset me and my parents. I asked the waiter to leave and requested to speak with the manager. I had explained everything to the manager and told the manager that because the food came out wrong and the waiter argued with my wife, that it was time to go because the waiter ruined our meal and our experience. After paying for 3 meals that we did not eat, the restaurant manager was extremely rude, told us to leave, and to never come back. We left very angry and upset. This restaurant ruined our entire afternoon. I do not recommend this restaurant because of the terrible customer service. If you make a mistake, own it, and make it right. Not the case here, they just want your money and send you on your way as fast as possible. If you’re looking for a nice dining experience there are far better options than this place.”

“I have been going to this hotel since the 1980s. It’s the best. My husband and I spent three new years eves there. We usually stay a week. Love it. I’ll be so happy when the rooms are available again. I can hardly wait. Love everything about it. The food is delicious. The patio is very enjoyable. And just a few steps to the beach. Love it. Thank you. I’m. Beverly. Anderson.”
“Mozambique Steakhouse in Laguna Beach brings a unique dining concept to the area by blending traditional steakhouse offerings with South African inspired flavors. The result is a restaurant that feels different from most others in the region while still maintaining a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.
The building itself is impressive and multi-level, giving the restaurant a dynamic layout. One of the most enjoyable parts of the experience is exploring the different spaces inside. The rooftop lounge is particularly popular and provides a great setting for drinks while enjoying the coastal air.
Inside the restaurant the atmosphere is lively and energetic. The dining room has a warm and stylish design that makes it feel upscale without being overly formal. It’s a great spot for both casual dinners and special occasions.
The menu focuses heavily on steaks and grilled dishes, but the South African influences add some interesting variety to the traditional steakhouse approach. The kitchen clearly puts effort into seasoning and preparation, and the dishes tend to be flavorful and well presented.
Service here is friendly and attentive. Staff members are knowledgeable about the menu and seem genuinely enthusiastic about the food they serve. The pacing of the meal is comfortable and allows guests to enjoy the full experience.
Mozambique stands out as one of the more distinctive restaurants in Laguna Beach. Between the creative menu, energetic atmosphere, and rooftop lounge, it offers a dining experience that feels both memorable and different from the typical coastal restaurant.”
“Every first Friday in December, Laguna Beach celebrates Hospitality Night in the downtown LB village along Forest Avenue. We were there with thousands of others boisterously dancing & singing to music provided by talented local bands. We had reservations for our birthday party of twelve at 5:00. Kudos to Alessa for: Jolly smiling hostesses who assured us our table would be ready on time [even though the restaurant was full at 4:45 when we checked in] and it was! After being seated, the restaurant staff unknowingly put on an amazing synchronized service ballet at no extra charge. I was enthralled watching the bussers, food runners, servers, and managers deftly dance their way through the milling crowds on the sidewalk and around the tables tightly packed outside in the tented area without a single misstep/mishap. I gave an extra tip to the gentleman who served us for his incredible tray expertise carrying a dozen drinks and placing them gently in front of us [he remembered every order without asking] never spilling a drop! The "back of the house" wasn't visible to me, but I bet they're equally fantastic since they were probably crushed by the number of dishes to be prepared [and cleaned up afterwards]. The welcoming complementary [in-house baked] endless focaccia bread with a tasty parsley/basil pesto was a classy way to start our meal. Our orders weren't delayed and were served deliciously steaming hot. They even baked the scrumptious crispy prosciutto pizza to well done just as I ordered. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed the appetizers and various pasta dishes which ended up being passed around the table for everyone to taste. Thank you Alessa for providing entertainment, eats, & drinks with skills and smiles.”
“This place blew me away. First you are greeted with free valet parking. Next you see the stunning views of the luscious green mountains overhead. The staff are wonderful, very professional and greeting you by your last name. The texture of the menu is the best I have ever felt. The food is fantastic too, large portions and high quality. Be sure to walk around and enjoy the views after eating.”

“We had an absolutely stellar experience at Studio Mediterranean. We were lucky enough to meet the chef too. We were delighted by the attentiveness of all the staff, start to finish. We enjoyed great service, with a lot of intention & attention to detail. SM really went above and beyond to create the ultimate experience in fine dining. I absolutely loved the blend of Greek Mediterranean with a twist, like a California flare. Everything was presented in a beautiful understated manner, and incredibly savory. The decor and aesthetic is unmatched, and it was a welcomed surprise from the old Studio, that was closed for so many years. The chef has reimagined what Studio is. I truly appreciate all of the detail and thought that was involved. Especially with the build out itself, which was executed to maximize the absolutely stunning and sweeping views that only can be offered at the Montage Laguna Beach. Incredible place to go for a celebration, a romantic date, or a family gathering. Sitting at the bar is also wonderful, as is the lounge area. The food was truly delicious! It was very nice for me as a vegan to have plenty of options. The beans, salads, rice, dates, everything was spectacular. I look forward to coming back again very soon. Make it a whole evening by getting there before sunset, & enjoying the sunset views. Along with delicious food, you have an ambience and the general atmosphere that you can only get in this part of Laguna Beach. If you appreciate beautiful interior design, aesthetic, and architecture, this restaurant is for you.”

“Very well managed and great food.”
