You will be blown away at how good they make it taste. There’s literally not a bad item on the menu. The staff? Some of the friendliest people I have had the pleasure of meeting. The chefs? “This place is a total gem. Came in on a quiet Sunday evening to dine. Our waiter and the cook were very friendly and welcomed us in. We ordered the hot and sour soup, general tso chicken and the Mongolian beef. We absolutely loved the soup and the dishes were really tasty with a good size portion and the breading was very nice on the chicken. We will definitely be back for more good food. ?”

The flavors didn't work for him. I got the Almond French Toast and I was in heaven!!! It was absolutely amazing and I would go there every morning for breakfast to eat that if I could!! 10/10 recommend. It's a self-service place, but the cashier/barista who took our order was nice. We sat in the far corner to have an ocean view and we loved it.”

“This isn't your typical surf shack joint. Typical beach cafes don't serve beef short rib sandwiches. Much of their menu is a step above what you'd likely be expecting from a location like this. From the outside it looks unassuming and familiar. You walk up, order, find a spot and grub. As far as I can tell, you don't need shoes or a shirt just an appetite. It's not refined or snoody, it's just damn good.They season their chips. The lowly give-away that most places serve stale as low-cost hunger appeasement filler, is done fresh and treated with care. Putting forth effort into making the most basic parts of the menu delicious means they really want everything they put out to be delicious. The thought and care behind the quality of their items is often sought but rarely found. Also, the salsa with their chips is really bomb.You can't go wrong with the BBQ short rib sandwich, chowder fries, or fresh ceviche.”

“Cute little restaurant next to the Cottage. Great breakfast. Apple pancake tasty bacon crisp not greasy. Eggs cooked to specifications even poached. Casual pay before and choose to seat inside or out. Great View and not a long wait like the Cottage. Hot pots reasonable healthy alternative, if you enjoy your meals hot throughout. I enjoyed this breakfast more than the cottage greasy offerings. Food served pretty quick, Beef hot pot also had clams and mussels which made for a tasty broth and classic shirataki mushrooms.”

My Finnish grandmother in Minnesota fried her freshly caught walleyed pike in lots of butter and there wasn't a more heavenly aroma or taste to be found. I haven't had fish that tasted like that since 1965, until Friday night 3/8/24. The farro that the fish was served on top of was excellent. The ambience reminds me of restaurants in Nevada City CA -- rustic, woodsy and salt of the earth. I highly recommend this restaurant for the quality of the food, the service, and the ambience.”

If you’re willing to walk just a block up from the tourist traps, GG’s offers a clean and spacious new outdoor patio, as well as a nicely decorated indoor dining room. Service is very pleasant. They offered me a taste of Turkish Raki, and gave me good advice over all.I recommend the Meze Platter. And I loved the blackened salmon sandwich, which I ordered today for lunch.Parking: There is ample parking in the paid public parking lot behind the establishment.”

Cost to valet is only $4 plus tip, was worthwhile.Chips were warm and fresh tasting but the salsa was more like a pico than a salsa. I am good with chunky salsa, but the other members of my dining party weren't fans. I ordered a steak burrito and it was good, but not the best steak burrito I have had. It is served enchilada style, which I am a big fan of.Service here was great, we were seated right away and drinks came quickly as did the food.The atmosphere here is a bit different. While it has great ocean views and a fireplace in the back of the restaurant where we sat, there was a bit of clutter on a few of the tables just past the bar to the right when we came in, which I found a bit out of place and was taken back a bit by. I stayed as this place was recommended by a local to the area. I would probably visit again if I were in the area again, but would be interested in trying something different on the menu.”

“I was looking forward to dining and having drinks on the Deck here for a couple months now, it's my 62nd birthday (Golden Birthday) so I wanted something close so we could walk back to the Pacific Edge Hotel.We were not disappointed. I had the Muscle and Clam soup, ( Laguna Cioppino) and as I was digging my way through the pile of meat and shells, I rediscovered my love for shellfish. The broth itself was absolutely delicious. Had to tip the entire large bowl with both hands to drink the delicious liquid. The Clams and Muscles were numerous, Also found several very large shrimp in the bowl, it was like a hunt for treasure right in my bowl. Excellent meal. Couldn't finish all the shellfish.Also tried several drinks, actually, many drinks, I think,? one of which was the Liquid Vacation, I posted a couple pictures of our meal and this particular drink because it was so good ?. We will be back over the next few days. Came back next day, today we tried the Tower of Seafood, it was great except for a couple things, the half lobster should be a whole tail, whoever heard of serving half a tail? This dish is for couples to share, needs more of everything for 109$ a serving. ?”

I have known Dominic Pitz since we’re in high school and official Vic Beach (literally across the highway from Dizz’s) bums. This last weekend my family went in to celebrate my mom’s birthday. I wish I could have been there but I live on the opposite side of the country. Dominic came out of the kitchen to greet my family and after dinner brought out strawberry cake for the b-day celebration! “Really great place to eat in Laguna. Since it's not down in the tourist area it feels more local. Only a few blocks up from city center though. Food is really good. Portions are great and the staff is very friendly. The meatloaf sandwich and warm potato salad are incredible. The portobello lettuce wraps are unbelievable! Definitely worth a visit.”

“Wahoos closed near me but when I am in Orange County I always try to stop by to get their fish tacos! Not many places sell fish tacos anymore and definitely not in the variety of ways that Wahoo does (in a salad, fried, grilled) nor with the quality of fish that Wahoo does (they use a Wahoo fish). The owner is Chinese so there are also subtle Asian influences that Wahoo brings to certain menu items. Hope that Wahoo opens up more locations in LA County again!”

“Beautiful Italian menu with lots of variety. No beach view but still close to the shore. Service was really nice... polite, engaging, attentive. We had the meatball sandwich, three pizzas, the bread, chicken parmesan and the ravioli. Everyone enjoyed their meals, although there was agreement that the food was just slightly under seasoned. Great spot for a quick lunch. The favorite was the chicken parmesan.”

If you’re willing to walk just a block up from the tourist traps, GG’s offers a clean and spacious new outdoor patio, as well as a nicely decorated indoor dining room. Service is very pleasant. They offered me a taste of Turkish Raki, and gave me good advice over all.I recommend the Meze Platter. And I loved the blackened salmon sandwich, which I ordered today for lunch.Parking: There is ample parking in the paid public parking lot behind the establishment.”

“We walked in and got seated immediately. We enjoyed all our food. The calamari was notably crispy and light and perfectly salted. The Gu Fries was cheesey and had a complimenting soy glaze the complimented the saltiness of our ramens. The service was unhurried and efficient. The vibe of the space was consistent with the theme. I tried their mandarin sorbet and it was disappointing but still a good pallet cleanser. We really enjoyed our dinner there. This continues to be our annual stop in Laguna for a late ramen.”

I am good with chunky salsa, but the other members of my dining party weren't fans. I ordered a steak burrito and it was good, but not the best steak burrito I have had. It is served enchilada style, which I am a big fan of.Service here was great, we were seated right away and drinks came quickly as did the food.The atmosphere here is a bit different. While it has great ocean views and a fireplace in the back of the restaurant where we sat, there was a bit of clutter on a few of the tables just past the bar to the right when we came in, which I found a bit out of place and was taken back a bit by. I stayed as this place was recommended by a local to the area. I would probably visit again if I were in the area again, but would be interested in trying something different on the menu.”

“Hands-down the absolute BEST Mexican food I have ever eaten!! We had the short ribs enchilada, the chicken nachos and a chimichanga. Cooked to perfection--even the chips are to live for!! We ate outside and watched the sunset while I sipped on a Corona Lite with lime. Service was superb. We will definitely return soon!”

Greg was a top notch server who was very knowledgeable about the food and drinks and ready to make a recommendation.The ambiance was classy and comfortable, and had a nod to the African theme.The food was delicious! I had the Durban Curry, which was so tasty. It came with sides to add heat or cool it down and even add an extra sweetness with the banana slices which paired perfectly with the flavors! “There is always a line but it does move fast. What doesn't move fast is the service once you order and find a seat. We waited about 40mins or so for the food which came before the drinks. The food also did not come at the same time. One person at our table got their food first which then got cold while waiting for the rest of us to get our food. Also since the drinks came pretty late when we were done with our food it kind of ruined the experience a bit. Parking is difficult, you have to use street parking and possibly pay for it too. With the heavy wait times for food you make sure to add money for more parking time while you eat. The food was pretty delicious. It was hard to complain about waiting because the food was totally worth it. Unfortunately they were out of their pistachios' options. We had the Rising sun latte and an Italian latte. Both drinks were pretty good. I had the Poach Di Parma. I totally recommend it. Especially if you order it with runny eggs. We also had the hash browns to share which were not bad but also not very special. We also had the tasty egg panini which was very tasty and full filling. Totally recommend it. Lastly we had the turkey panini sandwich. Also very delicious and filling. Overall, if one could at least get the drinks faster and the food for the table at the same time I would recommend it more. Unfortunately the wait overall to eat was 50mins from getting in line to the food being at our table. Dont come here hangry lol but do eventually give it a try.”

It's not refined or snoody, it's just damn good.They season their chips. The lowly give-away that most places serve stale as low-cost hunger appeasement filler, is done fresh and treated with care. Putting forth effort into making the most basic parts of the menu delicious means they really want everything they put out to be delicious. The thought and care behind the quality of their items is often sought but rarely found. Also, the salsa with their chips is really bomb.You can't go wrong with the BBQ short rib sandwich, chowder fries, or fresh ceviche.”
