We've been eating at Hapi Sushi for 20 years and recently returned for a visit. We ate there twice over a long weekend and both times it was delicious. Everyone working there was friendly and the service was excellent. A definite little gem in Laguna Beach.
#1 Sushi is fresh.We tried the hamachi(yellowtail), hirami(halibut), salmon, saba(mackerel), fuji roll, and miso.Hamachi, hirami, and saba were especially good. Salmon was just average.Fuji roll was good, quite a bit different than pictured in the menu however. Lot's of kewpie(mayo) and teriyaki sauce.
