“Overall experience was great- our waiter was not overly attentive once he found out we would not be drinking and felt frustrated that we were not ready to order immediately once our final party member arrived. The food was really good and it was a bit noisy initially but quieted a bit as dinner went on.“
“This isn't your typical surf shack joint. Typical beach cafes don't serve beef short rib sandwiches. Much of their menu is a step above what you'd likely be expecting from a location like this. From the outside it looks unassuming and familiar. You walk up, order, find a spot and grub. As far as I can tell, you don't need shoes or a shirt just an appetite. It's not refined or snoody, it's just damn good.They season their chips. The lowly give-away that most places serve stale as low-cost hunger appeasement filler, is done fresh and treated with care. Putting forth effort into making the most basic parts of the menu delicious means they really want everything they put out to be delicious. The thought and care behind the quality of their items is often sought but rarely found. Also, the salsa with their chips is really bomb.You can't go wrong with the BBQ short rib sandwich, chowder fries, or fresh ceviche.“
“Great all -american fare,we are on the patio which is clean and relaxing our waitress Janel.was a doll,so helpful, attentive and together, explained how the dishes were prepared that we were interested in and just all together made our dining experience first class.I had the seafood bisque soup which was perfect,not much of it but it was delicious.The Swordfish entre with mash potatoes and sauteed vegetables was great,the, swordfish was prepared just right as were the vegetables and potatoes,just the right amount of seasoning and the vegetables sauteed in a sauce that was light and tasty.All I all the food,service and ambience were just right,I would suggest asking for Janel.as your waitress we returned for dinner a few days later,food was still just as good but our server was fine,but nowhere near as good as Janel.who was working that evening but was super busy with a bunch of other tables,but she helped us just because she could see we needed a couple of things and was close by and because she really is that good at her job and cares,am A -Class Person and waitress.This place is well worth the visit.Vegetarian options: Not a great place for vegetarians,I saw NO vegetarian or Vegan four way tasting offering.Parking: Saffire is definitely worth a visit,great food,not unreasonably priced,portions are honestly a little small for my liking(but that's me) but would highly recommend.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp at both entrances,very easily accessible.“
“Such a fun atmosphere and excellent food! Our server Gabriel was friendly and helpful. He recommended the chile relleno and the Branzino and both were uniquely delicious. We also ordered the octopus ceviche for an appetizer and it was tender with incredible flavor. We also shared their homemade soft serve ice cream which was the best I’ve had. We shared this between 4 people and it was plenty of food. We are full, happy, and can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend if you want a great meal in a beautiful place!“
“The food and service were terrific. I had the sole and the taste was amazing. My Finnish grandmother in Minnesota fried her freshly caught walleyed pike in lots of butter and there wasn't a more heavenly aroma or taste to be found. I haven't had fish that tasted like that since 1965, until Friday night 3/8/24. The farro that the fish was served on top of was excellent. The ambience reminds me of restaurants in Nevada City CA -- rustic, woodsy and salt of the earth. I highly recommend this restaurant for the quality of the food, the service, and the ambience.“
“This by far the best Poke bowl restaurant in SoCal! The food is always fresh and the staff is really polite and helpful if you want to try something new. It's always clean and has simple and mellow atmosphere. You won't find a better selection and service any where else!Parking: Underground parking is free when they stamp your ticket. “I was looking forward to dining and having drinks on the Deck here for a couple months now, it's my 62nd birthday (Golden Birthday) so I wanted something close so we could walk back to the Pacific Edge Hotel.We were not disappointed. I had the Muscle and Clam soup, ( Laguna Cioppino) and as I was digging my way through the pile of meat and shells, I rediscovered my love for shellfish. The broth itself was absolutely delicious. Had to tip the entire large bowl with both hands to drink the delicious liquid. The Clams and Muscles were numerous, Also found several very large shrimp in the bowl, it was like a hunt for treasure right in my bowl. Excellent meal. Couldn't finish all the shellfish.Also tried several drinks, actually, many drinks, I think,? one of which was the Liquid Vacation, I posted a couple pictures of our meal and this particular drink because it was so good ?. We will be back over the next few days. Came back next day, today we tried the Tower of Seafood, it was great except for a couple things, the half lobster should be a whole tail, whoever heard of serving half a tail? This dish is for couples to share, needs more of everything for 109$ a serving. ?“
“Growing up in Laguna I have been to Dizz’s for dinner and special occasions since the 80’s. Everything from the cocktails to the food to the ambiance is fantastic! I have known Dominic Pitz since we’re in high school and official Vic Beach (literally across the highway from Dizz’s) bums. This last weekend my family went in to celebrate my mom’s birthday. I wish I could have been there but I live on the opposite side of the country. Dominic came out of the kitchen to greet my family and after dinner brought out strawberry cake for the b-day celebration! “This was our first time back since the new owners took over. We were there for OC restaurant Week. We had the set menu, but there were many other items that looked good enough for a second visit. Our server was helpful and efficient. We added the wine paring with our meal. All of the wines were delicious. The timing of the wines with the meal could have been better coordinated, but that is a minor note. Will definitely be back to try some of the Greek options on the menu.“
“I've been coming to the Mosaic since I was a child. This is a must-try spot if you're in OC. The view is breathtaking, the food is delicious, the service is always top-tier. Everything on the menu is great but I have an obsession with their seasoned french fries. At the very least, come visit for a cocktail and an appetizer while you enjoy the scenery.“

“Wahoos closed near me but when I am in Orange County I always try to stop by to get their fish tacos! Not many places sell fish tacos anymore and definitely not in the variety of ways that Wahoo does (in a salad, fried, grilled) nor with the quality of fish that Wahoo does (they use a Wahoo fish). The owner is Chinese so there are also subtle Asian influences that Wahoo brings to certain menu items. Hope that Wahoo opens up more locations in LA County again!“
