“Iconic old school Newport Beach harbor bar/grill. Been here forever. How many places can you pull in with your boat and grab drinks and food to go or stay and enjoy the day? Not cheap- but you don’t go to Newport for value- you go for the experience and the energy. This place has great food and decent drinks too. Can get a little busy and take a bit of time to get attention- but it’s all worth it.“

“If you are around the Newport Beach and Lido Isle area, this place is an absolute must-visit. Extremely delicious and ultra-fresh seafood!
We tried their tacos and poke burritos, and the quality was top-notch. The atmosphere is very modern and beachy, and sitting outside on their patio by the water is just perfect. It can get pretty busy during peak lunch hours, but it is 100% worth the wait. Highly recommend if you want amazing seafood in a great location!“

But I do believe in second chances I don't care how wealthy you are. When you come to a establishment like oceanfront 21 and you drop hard-earned money, you want the best you expect the best. “We had high hopes coming to Olea, but alas we were disappointed. Location/Ambiance: Westcliff Plaza and small with a large bar at the front, the layout leaves little space for tables. We sat in a snug booth alongside the windows with a view of Susie Cakes next door. The decor is warm and modern. Food: Subpar! Burnt bread but delicious whipped butter. Butter lettuce and Goat cheese salad was bland with a basic dressing. Mac and cheese skillet was good but nothing amazing. Filet was dry with overdone gluey mashed potatoes, and underdone broccolini. Halibut was pan seared to a dry mess with an inedible coating, bland steamed seasonal vegetables of cauliflower, carrots, and broccoli as a side. Service: Friendly and Fake, if you enjoy watching servers walk away from your table talking about how "picky and difficult you are" this is a perfect spot. My Mother has dietary restrictions and we are specific to ensure a safe dining experience, it's sad when that's met with disdain. Overall: We won't be back!“

“We recently dined at Billy’s and had an excellent experience. I ordered the clam chowder and fish and chips, both of which were absolutely delicious. My mother had the ribs and she said they were equally amazing. The service was also very good. Definitely a place worth visiting!“

Everything from the appetizers to dessert were perfect. Every dish is made with true italian fresh and natural ingredients and is made by traditional recipes. The talented chef M. makes pastas and pizzas daily and they taste amazing. Also the house wine is a good selection. I suggest you to have their own valuable wine. Il Farro has a great management and staff too. We loved interacting with customers and guys who work in, they became like family for us. The qualified employees are friendly helpful and the restaurant is always clean. They do have enough seats and limited outdoor seating, but get a reservation in advance to make sure you have a place.Hands off, this is the best place to gather with friends or family! “Wonderful view and we had great service. We've always enjoyed coming here. The food was very good. We had the lobster bisque and the clam chowder. Both were good. We shared the Caesar salad, which was crisp and tasty, and we shared the chicken creamy pesto pasta that was very satisfying, our server was very attentive, and the food was presented promptly, considering the location and the quality of food and the ambience of the restaurant. We felt that we got very good value for our dollar spent.“

“Bayside Restaurant in Newport Beach is a gem, especially for its live music every night. The atmosphere is so captivating that I often find myself singing along or even getting up to dance. The food and service are just as exceptional: my go-to dishes are the scallops, the lamb, and all the steaks. The seafood is so fresh and the steaks are far superior in flavor to any high-end restaurant. For appetizers, the ahi tuna tartare is a must-try (THE BEST I’ve had anywhere), and the calamari with its Thai-style twist of chilies, green onion, and cilantro over an amazing salad is a standout. Desserts? Absolutely heavenly. The cheesecake and panna cotta are favorites, but the Grand Marnier souffle is simply to die for. The service is also impeccable…from the moment you arrive with the complimentary valet service, to the hostesses, the bartenders, servers, and bussers. Everyone is so friendly and attentive! Bayside is an experience I cherish every time. Can’t wait for my next visit!“

“Had a lovely meal at the restaurant. Food was beautifully prepared. We had the burrata toast. It was amazing to look at and tasted wonderful. I think I might have made the bread slightly thinner but it was a joy to eat. I had the seafood arabiatta. It was packed with clams, shrimp and mussels with a lovely sauce, rigatoni pasta and slices of parmigiana. My husband had the steak, perfectly prepared with a sauce he found unctuous. Our waiter was personable and attentive. He called for a golf cart for us (noting my husband has mobility issues.). All in all a thoroughly enjoyable experience.“

“Made dinner reservations for my 50th birthday, but something came up last minute so we decided to drop by during lunch time the next day without reservations. Fortunately, they were able to get us seated immediately outdoors next to the water fountain. The restaurant was gorgeous and ambiance was beautiful. The view was amazing, food was spectacular, and the service was great. It was perfection and I would definitely come back. Highly recommend!“

“We love the Alley Restaurant, my husband and I walk there quite frequently because we are in the neighborhood. The food and service is always superb. The only thing we have a problem with is the noise level. We don't like to take visitors there because we cannot hear each other talk, but we love going there by ourselves and enjoy our conversations. “My wife and I always make it a point to visit Newport Beach when we are in the Los Angles area to go to Rockin Baja Lobster. The Big Baja bucket for two is generously loaded with grilled steak strips, lobster tails, shrimp, chicken and your choice of a salad or chowder, beans and rice, corn on the cob. The service is attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is very festive, the only way it could be a little better is if there were more room, but because of the location it's in that's just not possible. If you're not satisfied when you leave it's your own fault.“

“The freshest, highest quality & most delicious, unreal authentic Mexican food + drinks EVER! We ate at Red O yesterday, around 5pm on 7/17/2026 — our waitress, Sophie, was so sweet, thoughtful, warm & professional - checked in with us multiple times! My husband loved their salsa, unreal fresh warm house-made tortilla chips + plantain chips, their guac was the BEST guac I have ever had in my life (& they accommodated me bc of my allergies! Mamas fresh-to-order without onions / tomatoes due to my allergies), also the short rib taco + the FAJITAS (half chicken / half steak) were to die for! Literally best fajitas of our lives (my husband and I both agree) ! And also my cucumber vodka drink was made perfectly and my husband loved his cerveza :) ty so much, Red O & Sophie (our waitress)! Red O definitely exceeded all of our expectations — the quality of food, freshness, flavor, service - everything! And it is far better than Javier’s @ Irvine & newport (which used to be one of our favorites)“
