“Let’s make it simple: we travel from Las Vegas to Newport just for this restaurant. We first stumbled upon this place 4 years ago because it was the only restaurant open at 830 and it is an absolute gem.The food is out of this world and the service is exceptional. They even helped me propose two years at the restaurant and instantly recognized us when we went back this year.“
“I typically go to Bear Flag Fish company once a month. I love their burrito and ceviche. This time I ordered sushi but it was not that impressive. I would not order sushi here. Overall it’s a good seafood restaurants with reasonable prices. I would go back again.“
“Make sure you have reservations. With the spring/summer months coming up, those tables, inside and outside will fill up fast. The Opium hours were great, but so were the regular price entrees. Everything was delicious. Ambiance is fabulous, service was fantastic and food was sooooooooo delicious.“
“Cafe Sakana is a true Gem in Orange County! Tucked away in the back of a sleek-fashionable plaza.. this Restaurant nails it on all levels! Service, Food and Atmosphere. I can't say enough about this Family owned Restaurant. The late owner Jay truly put his heart and soul into the Restaurant and the family carries out his Legacy! Mayumi, Roy and the Staff are quite pleasant and I am so looking forward to coming back again soon. I am a big fan of the Nigiri! My favorites were the Sea Bream, Blue Crab, Peppered Tuna, and Salmon Pesto. The Jay Roll was also a must. Give it a try! You won't be disappointed.“
“Everything was amazing! The service was great and the food was delicious. San Shi Go holds a special place in my heart and will forever be one of my top sushi favorites in OC. They were a recommendation from a friend and definitely did not disappoint. The ambiance was casual and intimate at the same time, we had a table secluded from others. Can't wait to come back!“
“I like to consider myself a sushi connoisseur! I have eaten at many sushi restaurants in my life! Fuji is definitely by far the best sushi I have ever had in my life every single piece of sushi I ate, tasted absolutely amazing, melted in my mouth with deliciousness!“
“Exceeded our expectations and was a very authentic Japanese experience. Some people commented that the price was too high, but the sushi was great and unique anywhere outside of Japan. I would recommend and will definitely come back when in Orange County.“
“We were hungry, didn't know what we wanted, and stopped in here. I am so glad we did! Very good service and fantastic food. I loved the spiralized radish that the sashimi was served on. It provides a delicate crunch that compliments the fish. The Korean BBQ tasted great. We also had the Crazy Roll but I forgot to take a photo because I was distracted by the yumminess of everything.“
“Save room for dessert, and order the mocchi ice cream! You will enjoy clean, fresh, authentic Japanese cuisine at Bluefin. Upon entrance, you will notice the cleanliness of the restaurant and the uniformed, professional sushi chefs. The staff were kind and polite, especially Gregory, allowing us to dine in at 8:30 pm even though they close at 9:00 pm during weekdays.Indoor/Outdoor/Bar seating: Plenty of seating at this location. We sat inside.Delicious Food: Clean, fresh and flavorful. Ordered the mushroom miso soup with shiitake mushroom, grilled salmon with grilled vegetable, teriyaki sauce, wagyu beef carpaccio with onions, chive, goma-soy dressing, sesame seed, albacore dynamite roll, salmon avocado roll, and mochi ice cream. Loved everything.Excellent Service: Gregory, Jason and Raymond were professional, kind and attentive during our dining experience and each interaction.Parking: Free parking in parking lot. Valet parking is also available but it is closer to Javier's, so free parking is the better option.I highly recommend this restaurant for a clean, fresh, authentic Japanese dining experience, and thank you, Gregory, Jason and Raymond for a memorable experience!“
“12/6/2023It's a fast service sushi place for sure. I liked my crunchy roll and teriyaki chicken just fine but it does feel rushed. I would say it's perfect for a quick lunch on a work day. The store front was clean and the staff were nice enough. Overall it's perfectly fine.“
“This place is amazing! I've been coming here for years and it has yet to let me down. This restaurant is owned by a husband and wife and put nothing but love in their food. It is a small family business so I don't mind paying above average prices to support. I've only ever ordered the protein bowl with different proteins and enjoy every spoonful! Highly recommend, this place is hidden gem.“
“Reservations are a must! Hosts weren’t the friendliest but our server was amazing. Food was fresh and delicious. You can tell the salmon is high quality and so fresh. Seriously some of the best salmon nigiri i’ve had. The lollipop rolls were interesting (no rice, low carb friendly) but I wouldn’t order them again. The salmon roll with touch of lemon on top was so good. And you can’t go wrong with the toro roll.“
“My second time dining at this establishment, and I gotta tell you it does not disappoint. My son was visiting from UCLA and I decided to spoil him with fine dining in OC. Our table was ready upon arrival. We requested to be seated outside and boy am I glad I did. We sat indoors the first time I dined there. The whole ambiance, which included the lively music, heaters and lanterns added so much to my dining experience. Out waitress was amazing and frequently checked on us and gave us updates of the food arrivals. We had the surf and turf sushi roll for appetizers and it was delicious, loaded with all the good stuff with little rice , which is how I love my rolls. Caesar salad was loaded with good quality graded parm. We both had steak for dinner and they were prepared exactly like we ordered them. Medium rare. Sides were delicious, wild mushrooms with poached egg. Our waiter suggested we try the truffle potatoes and my son loved them so much. We were stuffed at the end and ordered a carrot cake to go. We shared that this morning with coffee and it was delicious. I'd like you to say a special thank you to the manager who checked on us frequently to make sure everything was to our liking . I'm definitely going back there and highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for someplace special to have dinner or celebrate something.“
“This was a pretty decent sushi spot within walking distance from the beach, however it's a little pricey. There's a few tables that you can sit at outside, which unfortunately comes along with having to deal with quite a few flies. The sushi quality was good & the gyoza was my favorite! I'd come back to try the poke.“
“Fourth time eating at a Nobu (twice before in Miami and once in Vegas) and this might have been the best experience yet. Everything was delicious - toro carpaccio, ribeye with truffle butter, yellowtail jalapeño roll, lobster tacos, sea bass, kakigori (dessert, ridiculous good). Service was on point. Really just a perfect meal honestly.“
“Love how they've been dog friendly for decades. Well before any other establishment. And what can you say? It's only the best of the best here for those who can afford it. And I can afford only a thing or 2. It's expensive here!“
“Food is exceptional with very high-grade quality fish. Sushi chefs always have a specialty offering of the day. Service staff is always friendly, even when they are very busy during lunchtime. Looking forward to dining on the other side of the sushi bar where they offer teppan tables for groups.“
“Best nigiri selection ever! The fish was super fresh and high quality and the service was amazing too. I like blue fin tuna, yellowtail and salmon but never tried seabass in any sushi place before, it was all amazing and we also had oysters and it came with sauce on top already, all top notch and not that expensive if you compare the quality you have. Don't forget to call before you go, there is a lineup most of the time. Wasabi is also pretty tasty and strong not like those imitation ones.“
