“Wow! Most authentic and personal sushi joint I’ve been to. All you can eat too! My son and I were in town for A Jiu Jitsu tournament and came here after competing and received the best service ever. Tu the sushi chef was great and converted with us the whole time and made my son a free dessert after serving us some of the best sushi we’ve ever had. Take it my son and I eat sushi at least 1-2x weekly. The Carpacio he recommended was insanely good and the salmon belly/tuna belly nigiri(fine cuts) as well as the mango tango salmon roll. This place really takes the bag, I won’t go anywhere else when in town. I don’t remember the waiters name because I didn’t ask but he was also amazing and made us feel very taken care of. “My teenagers and I had the Motto Black, the Motto Red, and the Motto Special. All bowls were tasty and delicious. Noodles were fresh and the chaschu melted in your mouth. The inside is small but intimate, and the patio is the spot, especially on a beautiful day. Finally, and MOST importantly, the food ALWAYS hits. “We stopped by Sushi On Fire in Huntington Beach for lunch and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The sushi was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and some of the best rolls we’ve had in a long time.

We ordered several different items including a Jalapeño Roll, a Seared Albacore Roll, Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice, and a tuna sashimi style plate, and everything was fantastic. The flavors were incredible and you can tell they really know what they’re doing with their sauces and preparation. Every roll had its own unique taste and was perfectly balanced.

The wait staff was outstanding friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better.

One of the coolest parts is that their patio is dog-friendly, so we were able to bring our Pomeranian with us to lunch, which made the day even more enjoyable.

Great sushi, great service, great atmosphere. If you're in Huntington Beach and looking for excellent sushi, Sushi On Fire is definitely worth a visit.

We ordered the jalapeño bomb and Jessica roll. They're both shrimp tempura rolls but where the jalapeño bomb was creamy and spicy the Jessica roll tasted bright and fresh. Excited to see kurodai on the menu. There were a few specials but we stuck to the basics for this round.

Everything came out beautifully presented and the fish was genuinely fresh across the board. The crispy rice is the move. Caramelized, warm, light spicy tuna on top. Comes heavy on the sauce so just know that going in. We will ask for a lighter touch next time but it was still delicious.
