“Went on a Sunday around 530pm. You order at the counter and pay first. Sushi and Ramen were very delicious! Limited bottled soda,juices and filtered water you get on your own. No AC but who cares you're in Newport. Overall great place to eat after the beach.“

“Great restaurant with a beautiful view of the water. Nice enough atmosphere for a nicer occasion or a casual evening out. We got the Rock N Roll, Stinky, and Firecracker. Fish tasted very fresh. All rolls were very delicious. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. Service was very fast. We were able to sit outside on their patio which had views of the water and docked boats. We made a reservation on a holiday week night, but I don’t think it was necessarily needed as there were tables available throughout our meal, but better to be safe than sorry.

“I still don't understand how a white man could open such a healthy and delicious Chinese restaurant! The flavours are so good, his dumplings are made of chicken, and although they are very delicately made, it's hard to tell they are made of chicken. The service is always warm and attentive, reflecting the excellent culture of the staff at this restaurant.“

“I give them four stars in the food category, because the food was so good, that I wanted more options. In particular, the buffalo wings are cooked damn near to perfection. It sucks that my only true option is lemon pepper. I think if they would give us buffalo wings and the people got to taste them, they could grab some of that market locally.“

“Best fresh poke I’ve had. It’s a bit small, but the quality is literally the absolute best…like the best period. I don’t think I’ve had better tuna ever. Made me realize what good Tuna is.

The style is a bit different as they have a Peruvian twist, but it remains heavily Japanese and amazingly fresh. Our family walked out incredibly satisfied. One for the gram. Beautiful dishes too.“

“It is a great place that opens till very late. We came at almost midnight and had some cold beer and authentic food. Some of the food is very authentic such as the blood sausage. We tried that and some fried whole chicken, fried tofu, and squid. It was nice you can just ordered thru the pad and they served quick. They gave us some free orange slices too.“

A cool concept, but not my go-to for pho in OC.“

“Today is my second time coming to this place. What I like the most is that their food is fresh they make it right when you order it. We got orange chicken, Kung Pao, and crispy noodles. Everything was really delicious, and they even gave us complimentary jasmine tea. The service and flavors are top-notch. Definitely recommend this place!

Honest review: seeing how quiet the restaurant was at first made me second-guess my choice, but I'm so glad I stuck with it! Everyone at the party devoured the food. It was amazingly fresh and flavorful, and the orange chicken was easily my favorite. We had zero leftovers, which speaks for itself. The prices are so reasonable and good for how good the quality is and how filling it is. I got the beef and chicken plate and I usually eat a lot, but I was so full with a quarter of it still left. “Living in the boonies of San Diego Co has benefits…(no traffic jams)…but few awesome perks…(like Tiki bars!!) Luckily the gods aligned, in Orange Co, and our last stop was the Stowaway. Intriguing, dark-painted, one small door marked the front of a strip-mall establishment… hmmm…sorta scary…but not really!! But there were two of us, and we had researched this place…so… The doorman looked at us, said a few things and unlocked a chain. We walked through curtains into the darkest bar I had ever been in, and shuffled toward the green lit bar…which turned red, then blue. The girl bartender handed us a card which we couldn’t read…it was really dark inside. From the shadows, up walked a bearded guy wearing a black shirt with hibiscus’s, smiled, extended his hand and said, “Hi, I’m “WILL”…can I explain anything to you? We had lots of questions…about drinks, Tiki ceramics, glassware, appetizers…and WILL cheerfully explained everything…He was fun, cheery, smart, and So Nice!! He brought us amazing drinks (a Tropical Margarita, a Cococano and totally fun ceramic sculptures from which to drink…an Angler Zombie Fish with a light, and Carved Volcano mug that had a flame show-by WILL, included!! Awesome!!) Totally wonderful décor…lights, bamboo furniture, comfy stools, the Skull Cave and waterfall, starry night ceiling, cool pool tables with lotsa room around them…everything thought through perfectly!!! We are definitely going back…VERY soon!!!! Thanks so much for everything, WILL!!“

“Sushi bear is so good! I was craving oysters and thought about going to Honda-Ya but the line was too long. I wandered in on a Thursday night and was kindly greeted and seated quickly. Ordered the kamamoto oysters which hit the spot. I also ordered the sushi combo which came with a Hawaiian roll, everything was fresh and delicious. The staff and chef were so kind. The soups were delicious especially the beef short rib, we felt there was no need to add any additional seasoning. The soondae plate tasted amazing, even the liver was yummy. The live octopus was fun to order, but not for that price. This place is very expensive. Every dish I wanted to eat but didnt order started at $60-$70.
