“I love to go to Active Culture every time I’m in the Newport area. They have very original healthy options like the LB bowl and the Chocolate Bliss shake. The yogurt and açaí bowls are so good too. I like to get an LB bowl to go because the brown rice, apples, dates, prosciutto and cheese hold up well while traveling and I can eat it anytime I get hungry. Close to the ocean and sitting outside on a nice day is heavenly.“

“I was in the area with family walking along the beach trail and craved an acai bowl. One quick search on yelp and Jan's Health Bar was just a 5-minute walk from where we were. We got 3 Jan's Acai Bowls to share between the 6 of us and an avocado toast. At first I was a little shocked at the price for one bowl, but then when it came out I was like o i get it. It's quite a hefty bowl, so definitely perfect to share with another person! The avocado toast was small but so beautiful lol the way they lay out the little slices of avocado!!! Kind of funny and cute :) Overall good experience here. Food was very fresh and healthy. If you eat there, they give you a number and the staff will bring your order to your table. Bathroom is clean. I am only dinging them a star because of their 3 choices for acai bowls, 2 of them had protein powder, which I don't want to consume so I had no choice but to get the first choice (Jan's Acai Bowl) which is fine but like another choice or two would have been nice...without the protein powder anyway. Would've liked to see other combinations without the protein powder! Otherwise very solid place to grab a healthy snack!“

“What a wonderful surprise stopping by here after the gym thinking I was going to get different options of Gyro and Rice and there were so many offerings that were very healthy and appetizing. I ordered the Zoodles with the Salmon protein option and it was delicious. It was also a nice surprise that they serve equally yummy breakfast options all day long. I have my close to home healthy go to option that does not compromise on taste and plenty of variety.“

“Cool vibe, good customer service, smoothies are a little pricey but I think is definitely worth it (ingredients,taste) is way better than other smoothie shops I've been too. We tried the: Chunky monkey 9/10 Matcha mint chip 10/10 I love that they used their home made coconut milk and most important (NO SEED OILS) on their food. I'm not vegan but I do like this place“

“Ellen was really friendly and helpful. I always have a positive experience every time I come here. Definitely would recommend.Parking: It’s situated in a lot with many other shops so parking spaces are plentiful and as far as I know, there is no time limit.“

Twas my first time trying açaí bowl here and I’m so glad I did it!!The staffs were friendly and professionally served our delicious bowl sweets!We got açaí blue bowl with chia pudding, chocolate chia, strawberries ? , blueberries , bananas ?, roasted coconut ? flakes, almond crunch, almond butter and pumpkin ? seeds! Twas absolutely delicious and the sweetness was perfect to me! :)Keep up the great work!“

“Another delicious Earth Bowl location! My family loves Earth Bowl, and we were pleasantly surprised that we could snag a smoothie while waiting for our car to get maintenance in the same plaza. The store was practically empty and super clean. The staff were friendly and made my smoothie really quickly and did a great job. I got the strawberry colada which is just the perfect coconut flavor with strawberry and a hint of pineapple. So refreshing!“

“I've been visiting this spot since they opened. Their food is delicious, well-made, and of course. Healthy. I get different variations of the avocado toast along with the healthy veggies sandwich. I absolutely love their almond butter smoothie. Their natural juices are also tasty. My boyfriend loves ordering chicken and turkey sandwiches from here, as well. The service is attentive and very polite. No complaints. The owner is sometimes at the shop, and he's very knowledgeable on any of the food items. The tables are always clean. I also like that they play so jazz and pop music to add character to the ambiance. Definitely a 5/5 star rating. “Love this location but depending on what side of PCH you're coming on can be a bit tricky with traffic. Nonetheless I LOOOVE Jan's. Everything is so fresh, the staff are always so nice and the food is YUMMMY. My go-to is the chicken salad sandwich with no vegan bacon bits. Personally don't like the flavor of the vegan bacon bits. The flavor overall of this sandwich is simply delicious.“

“Okay the chunky monkey protein shake is SOOOO good & I also love the chicken salad spring rolls. Very cute place - I just think now they need to work on having more staff . I ordered something over the phone with plenty of notice and got there and they still hadn't gotten to it which in my opinion defeats the purpose of ordering ahead- if you're in a rush this place isn't the place chancing on time because everytime I go here the service speed is the same regardless of what I order. Furthermore- they do have Nice staff but they JUST need an extra person - As Service is not as speedy as it could be - other than that they know how to make a really good shake !“

“Hostess was not friendly and seated us in 2 different undesirable seats- next to screaming kids inside, so we asked to be reseated outside- she put us in the sun, so we asked waitress if we could move to shady table- waitress was very accommodating, friendly and provided great service“

“Smoothies are basic. Not as much flavor as other places. Too much ice IMO. I do like that they have hemp protein as an option compared to most places that only have pea protein as a vegan option. Staff members are very kind and always available to answer questions. Lots of parking. Down side is there's not really any good space for dining in and the few tables that are inside always seem to be dirty, as well as the booth benches. There's an outdoor area, but its not very cozy. I suggest to just grab and go.“
