“I thought I live in a food desert, barren for vegans and healthy foodies (for this climate it is a shame.) This place that I have for long walked by and only now have dined at really is an exception in the area, as it offers nutritious food of better quality. Although all the menu is sweet, their food is not deserts but more in the category of oatmeals and puddings: with judicious selection excessive sugar I deem can be avoided.“

“First time at Jan's Health Bar. Needed a low carb bite after a couple of flights. Got a half tuna salad and half side salad upon recommendation of the nice dude at the register. He even gave me a sample of either the tuna or chicken salad before I made my decision. Garlic herb vinaigrette is a unique flavor (and color!) for a dressing, but the lightness goes well on a salad. Tuna sandwich is pretty decent, and I like that the tuna isn't overwhelmingly mayo-y like most other salads. Also, I don't even like avocado but I didn't mind it on this sandwich. It works really well with the texture of the tuna salad.

But what brings this to a 5 star rating for me is the music. They've been playing classic rock on the speakers. Went through the Beatles, Steppenwolf, Neil Young (Heart of Gold, of course), and I was just rocking out to For Whom the Bell Tolls as of writing this. So, nice job Jan's Health Bar. Good stuff.“

“I came around lunch time. The food to-go, salad bar, hot bar and juice bar were quite busy. I saw staff check and refill many times. Staff was refilling in the produce and vitamins. The staff overseeing the store walked throughout the store and fixed things they saw.

The employees I encountered were friendly and helpful with customers, taking them where they needed to find certain items.

The store itself was really nice and stocked. The produce looked so vibrant! The vitamin staff was so helpful!

Parking can be difficult during peak times, like lunchtime.“
