“We didnt have a reservation but got lucky we only had to wait 10 ish minutes and they called us. We really love the pizzas here and get the mushroom pizza with the spicy pepperoni (its both called something different on the menu but thats essentially what it is) and love to pair it off with nice wine selections.
It is mostly high top seating which isnt my favorite but its fine. It is sort of cramped in there but had space enough to get by tables. Its also kind of loud in there but from general speaking noise.“

Ray & Mark went above and beyond in making our daughter-in-laws 50th birthday celebration special. The 50th balloons, cake accessories, & gift card were unexpected & appreciated. This is a place to go for a special celebration! Chef Joseph prepared a variety of delicious boards & more. They truly give top notch attention to detail & service. Highly recommend!“

“Rolled in before I caught train back home, after a day at The Mission. Enjoyed a few items off the Happy Hour Menu. $34 before tax for the Pear & Brie Skillet melt, seasoned olives, and a slice of Key Lime pie. I would pass on the skillet melt next time, did absolutely love the toasted focaccia it came with. Next time I would try the Spinach Artichoke Dip. I sat solo at the bar, several average size groups were at the other end of the bar area.“

“We came on a busy weekend but we found a seat at the bar and we were attended too fairly quickly. We did the recommended wine tasting and we enjoyed each glass. I like the idea of pouring it into a tube to go with the theme but I do enjoy an extra pour when it’s poured by hand to be honest lol but it was a great vibe over all I would highly recommend stopping by for a tasting if you are in the area. Very affordable. Parking can be terrible but it’s worth supporting local businesses I say.“

“Cozy little restaurant by night, coffee shop by day. We had the oysters, pork belly tacos, steak frites, and a few glasses of orange wine—all excellent and service was great. A little funny to walk in and check in at the counter where you’d normally order an espresso, but I appreciate what they are doing. “My fiance and I were in the area for my nephew's wedding. On Sunday morning, we looked for a breakfast location. We prefer the small local restaurants as opposed to the chains. Up popped this Laguna Cafe, close by where we were staying. From the time we entered the door, it was obvious we picked the right spot! it was cozy, homey, friendly and downright delicious. The clientele were all laughing, enjoying the morning and the atmosphere. We got served by Monja, the proprietor, who wore a shirt with our favorite scripture, John 3:16. As we bowed our heads to pray, she gently joined us in prayer. What a blessing. Needless to say, we will go back when in the area. Highly recommend the food too! And say Hi to Monja from Mark and Dianne from Arizona!“

“Justin is an AMAZING server! We can to McClains with a large group of friends. We were excited to try out the Irvine location, after visiting the Laguna location for years. Jason and Sophia were there a well. We did a tasting and the wines were all fabulous! Justin was so fun and energetic. I never had an empty glass. He was friendly and such a great server!“

“This is my favorite restaurant! I loved it back when it was on Bristol, but I have been back to the new Red Hill location twice now and it is even more of a special dining experience. Massimo has come out to explain the history of the wine and food and the sources of his ingredients. He tells wonderful stories with a great sense of humor, and his daughter who helps serve is also very knowledgeable and delightful. I feel transported and hosted in a way I have never experienced in a restaurant. The food is amazing. The fresh handmade pasta melts in your mouth. We have eaten every dessert and they are all spectacular. Every wine and appetizer we have tried has been extraordinary. I couldn't recommend this place more.“

“Tremendous meal, first timers. Although they had a multi course Valentines menu that evening, we wanted to explore more of the menu. Three of us, one being my 83 year old mother-in-law, had 5 appetizers and salad, and three entrees. Hit it out of the park on everything. We had the charred cabbage, broiled marinated carrots, short rib chili(killer), beet and feta cheese salad, and house made olive oil bread and whipped butter. Every dish great attention to detail, delicious and varied saucing. We could have stopped there, but we continued on to the trout, hangar steak, and 12 oz pork chop. The sauce on that baby was tremendous, and I’m currently finishing the left overs in my hotel room for breakfast covered in that remarkable sauce. Service was spot on, timing was appropriately spaced out. Definitely put Verde on your map.“

A great bowl of pho starts with a great broth, and Bamboo Bistro absolutely delivers. Fresh ingredients, beautiful presentation, and a relaxing atmosphere make this one of my favorite Vietnamese spots in Newport Beach. The menu is great. Tons of different options to pick from. The pizza is what was recommended to us by the staff and they were correct! Wow, delicious!
We tried the Hawaiian, Eggplant pizzas, as well as the French Dip. Everything was made well and tasted great. Would suggest going with a pizza! Big enough to share or have individually.

Good selection of drinks, cocktails, and draft beer. Tons of local selection as well. Our server was excellent throughout the whole meal.

If you're needing a local spot to try while on the island, definitely give Snipe Island a try. You won't be disappointed!“
