“Went to Bandera on my birthday which was March 15 ,2024 and I had the Filet Minion with broccoli and mash potatoes, Also a glass of refreshing white champagne. Then for dessert I had a delicious chocolate dessert, with whip cream and a leaf mint on it . Tasted like it had a little alcohol in it . Our waiter was very nice , sweet , always asking if our meal was good and how everything is going. I forgot the waiters name but he’s very tall , about 6’6 .“

The manager came up to us letting us know our food would be delayed for a bit... but we didn't even notice the delay... the service is outstanding. I love the Macho salad... it is so d'lish. Celebrated a birthday at Darkroom and honestly it was one of the most distinctive dining experiences we’ve had in Orange County.

The creativity, flavors, and energy of the place feel completely different from anything else in the OC.

“Cozy little restaurant by night, coffee shop by day. We had the oysters, pork belly tacos, steak frites, and a few glasses of orange wine—all excellent and service was great. A little funny to walk in and check in at the counter where you’d normally order an espresso, but I appreciate what they are doing. “We came on a busy weekend but we found a seat at the bar and we were attended too fairly quickly. We did the recommended wine tasting and we enjoyed each glass. I like the idea of pouring it into a tube to go with the theme but I do enjoy an extra pour when it’s poured by hand to be honest lol but it was a great vibe over all I would highly recommend stopping by for a tasting if you are in the area. Very affordable. Parking can be terrible but it’s worth supporting local businesses I say.“

“We didnt have a reservation but got lucky we only had to wait 10 ish minutes and they called us. We really love the pizzas here and get the mushroom pizza with the spicy pepperoni (its both called something different on the menu but thats essentially what it is) and love to pair it off with nice wine selections.
It is mostly high top seating which isnt my favorite but its fine. It is sort of cramped in there but had space enough to get by tables. Its also kind of loud in there but from general speaking noise.“

“I love this restaurant. It's has a warm and inviting ambience. It's a favorite go-to lunch place for friends or business meetings. I mostly go there for lunch but it is also is a good place to go before attending the theater across the the street. This is not fancy French or foodie dining. The dishes are simple but always flavorful, healthy and perfectly executed. I would say it's upscale, but not a pricey, fancy restaurant. It used to be that reservations were a must, but lately that doesn't seem to be the case unless it's holiday time.“

“Celebrated my husband's 80th birthday, we had a party of 21 and sat in the Library area of the restaurant which was private. Every aspect of our time there was exceptionally perfect from beginning to end. Our lead server, Paul, has perfected his skills and made our celebratory dinner extremely enjoyable. The food was amazing as always. The Library is private and lovely however the entire room is filled with “Library” decor and doesn't leave much room for personal party decorations which the restaurant graciously allowed. Had ordered three dessert platters for our party, guests did not consumed a fair amount and noticed the trays were being taken away without my being asked if we wanted to take the leftovers to go. I asked if they could be boxed to go and my request was immediately honored. My husband and our guests all commented on how much they loved the food and enjoyed themselves!“

“Tremendous meal, first timers. Although they had a multi course Valentines menu that evening, we wanted to explore more of the menu. Three of us, one being my 83 year old mother-in-law, had 5 appetizers and salad, and three entrees. Hit it out of the park on everything. We had the charred cabbage, broiled marinated carrots, short rib chili(killer), beet and feta cheese salad, and house made olive oil bread and whipped butter. Every dish great attention to detail, delicious and varied saucing. We could have stopped there, but we continued on to the trout, hangar steak, and 12 oz pork chop. The sauce on that baby was tremendous, and I’m currently finishing the left overs in my hotel room for breakfast covered in that remarkable sauce. Service was spot on, timing was appropriately spaced out. Definitely put Verde on your map.“

We ordered our food at the window, and found a table to sit at. The food came out quickly, hot and crispy. It was SO good! The steak tacos were awesome and packed with protein. The BLTA had thick and plentiful bacon. The burgers were perfectly cooked and the fries were perfect!“

“How have we not noticed this place before now. We took an evening stroll and then stopped by this restaurant. They have 2 window seats which is nice to get some fresh air and people watch.

We were told that the food was great so we decided to sit down. They have a wide variety of food items and I'm sure the drinks are good but we don't drink.

I opted for the ahi sandwich and I could get it protein style which I appreciate with a side salad. It was really tasty. The ahi wasn't fishy. The thicker section did get a little chewy but that was the next day since I couldn't finish it all. I wish I had more sauce though since it was tasty. My friend got the burger with fries and thought it was good as well.

It can get loud when the middle table has guests, something w/the acoustics. But a fun vibe. There was a waitlist when we left.“

“Had not been to 21 Oceanfront for over a decade because we moved out of the area. Happy to report same old school vibe, excellent service and icy martinis. A little disappointed in the food. The sourdough rolls have been replaced with a sweetbread that we didn't care for. The escargot seemed to be missing garlic altogether and came with 3 small toasts, not enough! The wedge salad was just uninteresting and the bacon bits were hard enough to crack a tooth. The ribeye was cooked to perfection as was the halibut but the small side of au gratin potatoes tasted old and refrigerated, we left them. We could have complained to our exceptional waiter, Colin, but we just chalked it up to changing times. We've had countless perfect dinners at 21 O to remember, this just wasn't one of them,“

The staff is extremely nice and professional. The options are great for quick bites, lunch or dinner.

The food tastes fresh. The drinks are great.

Upon walking up to the bar area I was greeted immediately. Staff immediately gave me a menu. And mentioned a special that day. They also let me know that there was a happy hour. Happy hour!? Can't go wrong there can we lol.

I've had the club sandwich, wings and burger.

Club sandwich. Pretty much your average club sandwich. However the ingredients are fresh. Yes it's processed turkey slices. But that's ok. They're good quality ones at that. And they don't skimp. It was a very large well proportioned sandwich.

Wings. Alright these are the star of the show.
Simple but done right. You know when you just want something good? And everywhere just over does it trying to be different? Not these. Simple hot wings cooked to perfection. Highly recommend.

Burger.
Ok this is actually insanely good with the bacon.
And their fries are nice and crispy tasty freshness.

So would I recommend this place? Most definitely.
And if you're staying here. No need to go off site for food. The food here is legit.
