While I enjoy most of the entrées on the menu, my favorite is the bone-in filet—super yummy! The owners and staff are always on duty and aim to please, making you feel like family. The ambiance is great too, whether you choose to sit indoors or outdoors. For a more intimate setting, sitting indoors is perfect, but if you want to enjoy the fresh ocean breeze, the outdoor patio is the way to go.“

“Celebrated our 11th anniversary here and it was perfect. Zack the host took great care of us right from the start. When we were about to sit down, someone tried to step in and grab our table, but Zack held it for us and seated us at the best spot on the rooftop. We really appreciated how attentive he was.

Greg and Lisa were our servers, and they were both so kind and genuine throughout the evening. My wife and I were enjoying a rare weekend away from the kids, and the three of them made our night feel truly special. The food was excellent and the rooftop setting in Laguna is beautiful.“

I sat in the bar & the waitress was nice but I asked her if the entry was spicy & she reassured me it was not spicy. Well, it DID have a big kick to it & I could only eat about 1/3 of it because of that. She never came back soon after she served it to ask me how it was or I would have told her it WAS spicy. Your caesar salad was DELICIOUS & I highly recommend it. And your cheesecake with raspberry topping was good too. Had a glass of wine also. Sorry but I won't be back because the entry I ordered was spicy & told it wasn't . That was disappointing.“

“I’ve been to The Bungalow plenty of times over the years, but surprisingly, I’d never actually sat down for dinner until now. I’m a member of the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce, and The Bungalow is incredibly involved with both the Chamber and the local community. They regularly host Chamber events, networking mixers, and seem to be involved in all kinds of philanthropic efforts throughout the year. It’s always nice supporting businesses that genuinely give back.

Whenever I’ve stopped by in the past, I’ve usually grabbed a seat at the bar. The bartender’s name is Eric, and he’s exactly what you hope for in a great bartender—friendly, quick, funny, and just the right amount of dry humor. He always seems to keep the energy up.

This visit was different because a friend and I actually came for dinner. We grabbed one of the high-top tables in the bar area. It was packed, but somehow it never felt overcrowded. In fact, sharing the table gave us the chance to meet a few new people, which made the experience even more fun.

Even though the restaurant was busy, the service was outstanding. We had a few people checking on us throughout the evening, and our server, Elizabeth, was fantastic. I tend to joke around with servers and can be pretty sarcastic, and she immediately picked up on my sense of humor. She was engaging, fun, attentive, and made the whole experience even better.

For dinner, I ordered the filet mignon burger. Elizabeth recommended ordering it medium, and she was absolutely right. It was one of the juiciest burgers I’ve had in a long time. Honestly, my mouth is watering just thinking about it while writing this review. It came with a generous portion of fresh, crispy shoestring fries that disappeared way too quickly.

I also ordered the Caesar salad. Normally I ask for light dressing because so many restaurants overdress their salads, but this time I decided not to say anything. When it arrived, I actually wondered if they had forgotten the dressing because it looked so light. Turns out it was perfectly dressed—fresh, balanced, and delicious. Exactly how a Caesar should be.

The portions were generous, the prices felt fair for Newport Beach, and the atmosphere was fantastic. We skipped dessert, but I couldn’t resist grabbing a couple of Jelly Belly packets on the way out. It was a fun little touch to end the meal.

Parking was easy. They offer valet, have their own lot, and there are additional public parking options nearby if you don’t mind a short walk.

Overall, this was an easy 10 out of 10 experience. Great food, outstanding service, a lively atmosphere, and a restaurant that truly feels like part of the Newport Beach community. I’ll definitely be back, and next time I plan on sitting in the main dining room and working my way through more of the menu.“

“Our annual anniversary dinner never disappoints. The food is always good and hot. This time I had the ribeye with light Cajun seasoning and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had there. They really do make sure you are fully happy with the way Your steak is cooked. They aim to please. Our server Ben was amazing and the manager Bill made sure we were satisfied with everything. From the wedge salad, creamed spinach,garlic mashed, baked potato, steaks and our desserts, we were 100% satisfied. Looking forward to our next celebration 👍🏼“
