Wonderful place for a casual date, and if you sit on the top floor you get a great view of Catalina Island on a clear day. The service left a little to be desired and my garlic fries came out Luke warm but overall, pretty good for the price and atmosphere.
Cute vibe that had me feeling like I stepped back in time. Food was great. Service was fantastic. It was our first time and it lived up to the hype!The management was really great! There was a man experiencing what I believe to be a mental health crisis (Dementia maybe) and was unable to pay his bill. The manager was kind, understanding, professional, covered the mans bill and told him he didn't need to feel embarassed. When you need a hearty start to the day and a standard breakfast menu, diners are typically the best option. Ruby's has good service, good food and we didn't have to wait too long for our meal on the day we were there. I had a veggie omelet, and he had corned beef and hash. Both were good.
