22 Best Coffee Shops in Lake Forest

“I can’t believe I have never tried this place before, especially living walking distance from it… crazy lol.

Awesome place! Awesome drinks, awesome flavor.

We were on our walk yesterday, Wednesday around 2 pm. No vehicles on the drive thru yet, so we just walked up to the window.

I got the Caramel Granita with oat-milk, it is like medium sweet drink, nice and refreshing.

The girl at the window was so patient, great suggestions, excellent customer service.

Will have to come by more often!“

“Impressive array of barista skills, matcha, espresso, classy layers and latte art! It's all rolled into a rather dull and pale inside unable to match atmosphere to coffee craft. Us two went for a banana latte, fancy green tea, and a breakfast bagel. The colors! No wonder Yelp puts this tops for the area. If only I could order from Indiana.“

“New Fav coffee house! Awesome selection of fresh made grub, classic coffees, vibe and hospitality on point, nice change from 🌟bucks - give these guys a try!“

“fresh coffee and ham&cheese. and delicious egg omelet. highly recommend“

“Clean and open. The coffee and smoothies are spot on. Everyone working there seems to be a bit of a “coffee nerd”. They really know their coffee! I would recommend it to anyone that prefers a higher quality coffee.“

“Such a great find! I tried the Yemeni latte and it was fantastic — beautiful aroma from the cardamom and cinnamon, generous size, and not overly sweet like some spiced lattes can be. I also got the honeycomb bread with cheese filling and a honey drizzle, and it was the perfect balance of sweet and savory, with a really generous portion too.

What stood out most was how authentic the whole experience felt — you can tell they're staying true to Yemeni flavors and traditions rather than watering things down. Will absolutely be back to try more of the menu!“

“Absolutely love their karak chai! This is our go to when we need a true pick me up - it beats coffee, without the jitters.

As coffee and matcha lovers we appreciate the variety.
The new location is cute and welcoming.“

“They have a awesome crew there. They always try to remember your name and what drinks you order if your a regular. The Manager is always there making sure the place is ran smoothly and efficiently. Definitely one of the best Starbucks locations in the Orange County area 👍😀“

“Love the drive thru!!! So convenient with very good customer service “

“Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is honestly one of the best coffee places I’ve ever been to. The coffee is always delicious, but my personal favorite is the Hazelnut Frappuccino. It’s smooth, creamy, perfectly sweet, and has an amazing hazelnut flavor. Every time I order it, I enjoy it from the first sip to the last. It has easily become my favorite coffee drink.I also really appreciate the overall atmosphere here. The place is clean, comfortable, and welcoming, and the Wi-Fi is good, which makes it a great spot to sit down, relax, work, or just enjoy a coffee. The employees are always nice, friendly, and professional. The service is excellent, and you can tell that they actually care about making customers feel welcome. What I especially like is that Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf feels like it focuses on the quality of the actual coffee and the customer experience. In my opinion, the coffee here is better than Starbucks. Starbucks is obviously a huge and recognizable brand, but for me, it feels more like you are paying for the brand name. Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, on the other hand, gives me a better coffee and a better overall experience. If you haven’t tried Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf yet, I definitely recommend giving it a chance. And if you like flavored coffee, you absolutely have to try the Hazelnut Frappuccino. It’s my favorite for a reason!
Great coffee, great service, clean environment, good Wi-Fi, and genuinely friendly people. What more could you ask for? I’ll definitely keep coming back.“

“The service at this Starbucks is legitimately the best I’ve experienced in all of OC. Kota was SO kind and patient with my indecisiveness and answering questions and with my 2 crazy kids, and Kaylie made me the best matcha (with ART ?) I’ve ever had!“

“Everything that I’ve try is 100% 😋“

“Always know what I want very fast and the people are the best. I always leave in great mood ready to take on the day.“

“LOVE LOVE LOVE Pengo! I literally order my favorite drink every day. (or almost every day) ❤“

“I’m so happy I found this place!!!

There used to be a bomb poke place next to my house off Trabuco but it closed about 3-4 years ago and I haven’t found a replacement yet. Tried a place close to this one and it reeked of fish the moment we walked through the door.
Saw this place on Google Maps, pulled into the parking lot and it just advertised drinks on the storefront. My wife and I were so deflated, but were hungry, so parked and we’re going to go next door. Once we walked up, we saw they did actually sell poke. Walked in, saw all the fresh fish, toppings, a great atmosphere and friendly staff. We ordered our bowls, LOVED them and can’t wait to make this a normal spot moving forward!!!“

“Casual and close, great spot for meet up.“

“Great service & really good drinks if you compare them to other Starbucks!“

“Love this Dunkin' location! Picked up coffee and munchkins for the office this morning and the $8 meal deal for me. Everything was delicious and my coffee was filled right to the top. The gentleman working the walk-up window was very kind and put a smile on my face!“

“Sharetea is easily the best boba place in Lake Forest! Their oolong milk tea is flavorful and the boba is soft and made perfectly every time. They also use nondairy creamer that tastes just like real milk for those of us with lactose intolerance ?Any time I order ahead online, my drink is made promptly. The owner is friendly and the shop is always sparkling clean and welcoming ✨ It’s always worth stopping by when you’re driving down El Toro“

“Ordered Chocolate Chiffon cake online for a birthday. Website is quick and easy to use. Cake was ready on time, and Alejandro provided excellent customer service - perfect balance between friendly and efficient.

Cakes and pastries are beautifully prepared and artfully presented - it looks more like a museum than a restaurant yet feels inviting. Good space for study groups and lunches.“

“Entire team is customer-focused and I noticed that from my experience with a manager, unfortunately I forgot to get her name. I had a very unusual request and the manager who helped me stayed late to help. This does not go unnoticed. Keep up the good work!“
