“We were visiting from Scotland, having previously lived in NYC for many years, and were desperate for a nice Italian meal like we used to get when we lived in the States. We could not have been more impressed with the food and the service, and made sure we got a second visit in before we returned to Scotland - I just wish we could have gone back a third time… and fourth !!!! “The cake had a simple appearance, and she could only write “Happy Birthday” in brown, which I found odd. I was initially a bit concerned—it was a thin, two-layer 8” cake for $50. However, the taste more than made up for it! It wasn’t overly sweet, and the strawberry filling with whipped cream frosting was absolutely delicious. I would absolutely order another cake from Bye Bye Sugar!!!👍🏾“

“I have been coming to Ikes for years and when I found out they opened a location in Lake Forest I was so excited! I ordered online about a week ago and requested that the bun be extra extra toasted (I love the toasted french bread here). To my dismay, the bread was completely soft and soggy (not toasted at all!). I was so disappointed as this was my first time ordering from this location. I decided to come back and give it another shot! I was welcomed by Eli, and they were so incredibly helpful!! They listened to my complaint about my last order and offered to remake my sandwich with a big smile :) I was almost ready to skip this location for my future orders but Eli was absolutely amazing. He apologized for the past order and did everything to ensure my current sandwich (which he offered me as a replacement) was beyond excellence. Amazing human being and representative of Ikes Sandwiches!!“

“Love this restaurant. Been coming here for years. The food is reliably good. I really enjoy the breakfast: huevos rancheros with papitas! They make fresh corn tortillas in the restaurant and the service is always friendly. It's a mom and pop place so expect quality over thrills. The dining room is always clean and welcoming.“
