“There are two reasons I would go back to this place. I saw it on Instagram, and I like to judge places for myself, so we went. The first reason I'd go back is they have an employee by the name of America, I told her it was our first time she introduced both beef and chicken teriyaki so we could taste both flavors and it was by far a great recommendation. Both had great flavor, so this place, I would say, is a good five-star. It's always wonderful when you find good tasting food but it's even better when you have staff that backs up the restaurant and gives you great customer service“
“Parking: Very easy even on a Saturday/ Sunday brunch day. I would say to come early to check in on their Yelp waitlist in case their place get's especially busy. If you order all these dishes with a group of 4 people, this will fill you up. Banana Latte: Tasted more of the latte than the banana. Gamberry Rose Pasta: Don't play with the spicy level. It's not death spicy but it's a bit like Shin Ramen spicy. Would not recommend this dish for my non tolerant spicy people. Pasta is wonderful though, sauce was like uni cream, there were bits of masago (tiny fish eggs) to add a nice texture, 2-3 regular shrimp and a jumbo shrimp in the dish. Beet Tataki Salad: Would highly recommend for anyone! The beef was cooked so well, medium rare on the inside and the outside sliced edges were really crispy! Salad was refreshingly and dressed well with their vinaigrette, tomato, and shredded cheese. Gambas: Not my favorite dish. The sliced bread was presented in the skillet so bottom portion of the bread was overly greasy. There was too much olive oil at the bottom of the pan than necessary. Toasted whole garlic and olives, I think the only redeemable feature of the dish would be the shrimp.“

After choosing the soup I want, I simply need to select the type of meat and request it from the server. However, during busy times, it's advisable to order in advance to avoid waiting for the server for too long, as it can be frustrating.They provide various vegetables, seafood, dumplings, tofu, noodles, and more, so I can take as much as I want and make my own sauce. Once I've chosen my soup and added various seafood and vegetables to enhance the flavor, I start my meal. Personally, I enjoy adding seafood to the broth for flavor and dipping it in hot sauce, then adding meat first and enjoying it with vegetables alternately.I recommend finishing about 90% of the meal and then enjoying the remaining 10% with udon, ramen, dumpling soup, or other desired choices. Among them, I highly recommend adding eggs and rice to make egg porridge, which is the best way to conclude the meal.The egg porridge, made by boiling the remaining vegetables and meat, always tastes exquisite. They play funky music and offer happy hour everyday 8pm to close and you get $2 off munchies (their version of appetizers or small plates) and $1 off drinks. The food can be pretty spicy. For example, the drunken noodles were like a 7/10 on spice level. The boat noodle soup was loaded with robust flavor. The fried chicken wings appetizer was moist with a sweet and tangy sauce. They offer a variety of drinks from Thai tea to fresh coconut as well as unique desserts! I've been to Thailand and some of the best Thai restaurants in LA and OC and this place ranks among them for their creativity and uniqueness. The service is good and everything came out in good time. Another plus is that they provided eco-friendly to go packaging AND their water is fresh and clean! Didn't taste like tap water! “Nice little gem we recently found. Place was clean & inviting and one of the cooks did a great job explaining the menu to us. We ordered the cheese Katsu meals and the portions are perfect! Really enjoyed the salad and dressing that topped it. Bowl of miso and rice were the perfect touch to complete the meal. “Every Once in a While the Best Surprise is One You Never Saw Coming! The Bowl & Plate Eatery is Exactly That!!! Driving south on Magnolia Street in Anaheim Sunday, Feb. 25 around 6pm. Just before I reached Ball Road, I remembered there used to be a 'hole-in-the-wall' Italian restaurant tucked into the northeast corner of a little strip mall there. It's been a while so I wasn't sure what I'd find but I made the left turn into the parking lot to explore. No more Italian restaurant (sigh). But in its place I see a quaint looking sign proclaiming the new establishment's name: The Bowl & Plate Eatery. Some quick Internet searching gave sufficient details to convince me to enter...that and my growling stomach! A tasteful and minimalist small dining area offered seating for perhaps 15 guests. Upon my arrival this particular Sunday evening, I was one of three. The owner gestured for me to take a seat, brought over a menu and offered a smile so warm and bright I knew she loved what she was creating here. Seriously, her exuberance was evident in abundance. I'm now even more convinced I made the right choice for this evening's dinner. I won't list the whole menu but I will speak of my selections: - Chicken Vegetable Dumplings - Steak Salad - Choco Roti with Ice Cream Everything is infused with blended Asian flavors. The dumplings were perfectly seared on the bottom, offering a nice crispy-crunch with every bite. Their dipping sauce added just the right amount of 'Zip!' without being overpowering. The steak salad was heaping with fresh leafy greens of several varieties and the steak bites were perfectly cooked and lightly seasoned. The Choco Roti with ice cream was a last minute addition and WOW! am I glad I did. Small wedges of delicately toasted flat bread, drizzled with sweet icings and a touch of cinnamon, served with a healthy scoop of vanilla ice cream, also drizzled with icing. A great combination of sweetness and savory to end a fantastic meal. Mind you, The Bowl & Plate Eatery is not staffed by a team of experts, cranking out cookie-cutter meals-o-plenty. No No! It was staffed by the owner of that amazing smile, who also happens to own the restaurant. She handled it all, from greeting and seating, to explaining, order taking, meal preparing and serving. She's even her own busboy! And all of it in a timely, orderly manner. No rushing nor resting. A model of efficiency and a skilled chef t'boot. No need to ask if I will return. I will have to add this to my monthly restaurant sojourn list. The owner said she's been there for 3 years now and I fault myself for not discovering The Bowl & Plate sooner. And please note, this is not the steam-table Asian food take-out style place. This is well-crafted dishes prepared with passion and heaped with love of craft. Yes, you'll pay a bit more for this but with every bite you'll know it is So, SO Worth It! I'm hopeful The Bowl & Plate is well-visited to keep it in business. (Choose one: white rice, brown rice, lettuce) You can put all the toppings or a few. I put all the toppings except cheese and sour cream. I chose medium hot sauce. You can have the sauce drizzled on top or ask for it on the side. There were two workers. They were very nice and welcoming. The place is small. It was easy to find parking. It's a small restaurant tucked behind Popeye's fried chicken adjacent to Auntie Anne's pretzel and Jamba Juice. They have a limited menu that specializes in chicken rice. For my first try I kept it simple with Hainan chicken rice to go order. There is regular and a larger size portions. The perfectly sliced boneless chicken sits on top of ginger chicken broth flavored rice comes with minced cucumber slices, and three sauces sambal, soy sauce, and ginger sauce. There is also a small side of chicken broth. The chicken tastes clean, no MSG detected. Next time I'll be back to try the fried chicken. No cash accepted, pay by cashless credit card or Apple Pay at the kiosk.“

Located on Del Amo/Bellflower it was easy to find. Large lot but very busy as there are a few food stores there. There was a small line ordering when we arrived. Two of the six tables available were taken. I noticed on the menu board Wednesdays are $1 a wing day. We were served by a very friendly associate who grabbed our order promptly. My order consisted of 6 Garlic Parm Wings 6 Sweet and Spicy Wings. Garlic Noodles with Tri Tip and a Ninja Quesadilla The food was great, very tasty and spicy where it needed to be. For dinner and drinks and tea, we spent about $50 and got 2 different soup bases, had many different types of sides, and plates on top of plates of meat. I tried it with the tempura sauce and it took it to the next level. The soft shell crab was also delicious and flavorful. Their signature roll was good but nothing out of the ordinary. I've only been once and tried the orange peel chicken with fried rice. They forgot my fried rice and gave me white rice but I live near by and they were quick to fix it when I came back. The quality and taste of the food keeps this a 5 star. The chicken didn't taste cheap or full of salt and didn't upset my stomach after like other places. I would surely come back!“

“Found this spot after going to the Van Gogh Experience.They open late and amazingly, their food is delicious. Service is good too - a bit busy at 9pm but we got our food quickly. One thing I have to note is that there's a bunch of napkins on the floor by the kitchen and the staff just walk around them, making the place look unkept. Overall, they are still my go to when I'm in the area.“
“I tried this restaurant for the first time and ordered the Bulgogi Rice Bowl and it was amazing. The price is well worth it because the food comes in big portions. The lady there was very sweet and we got our food pretty quickly. The place was empty but everything was clean. I absolutely recommend eating there!Parking: There are lots of shops nearby so parking right outside the restaurant might be a little difficult.“
