I ordered the brisket sandwich with a side of mac and cheese, and from the first bite it was clear this place understands barbecue. The brisket was incredibly tender with a beautiful smoke-kissed flavor and a well-developed bark. What I really liked was that it wasn't soaking wet or dripping with grease. Instead, it had that burnt-end style character with rich, concentrated beef flavor and those slightly caramelized edges that BBQ lovers appreciate. Every bite delivered a perfect balance of smoke, seasoning, and beef.
The sandwich itself let the brisket be the star. No need to drown it in sauce when the meat is cooked this well. The brisket had great texture, pulled apart easily, and tasted like it had spent the proper amount of time in the smoker.
The mac and cheese was the perfect companion. It was creamy and silky smooth without being overly rich or loaded with cheese to the point of becoming heavy. The cheese flavor was balanced and comforting, coating the pasta perfectly while still allowing the dish to remain light enough to complement the barbecue.
I ordered my meal to go, and the customer service was excellent. The person who took my order over the phone was patient, friendly, and very helpful. They answered my questions and made the ordering process easy and enjoyable.
Good BBQ takes time, attention to detail, and respect for the meat. Beach Pit BBQ clearly has all three. Between the properly smoked brisket, the outstanding mac and cheese, and the great customer service, this was a meal worth coming back for. “My family loves this place. I came here for the umpteenth time tonight with my 85 year old Japanese mom. We had the Manpuku Traditional Omakase and we had leftovers to take home, there was so much food. All the meat (chicken shrimp and beef) all 5/5 star quality. The prices are so reasonable and good for how good the quality is and how filling it is. I got the beef and chicken plate and I usually eat a lot, but I was so full with a quarter of it still left. “This is a small food purveyor. They are best know for their delicious Roast Duck and cooled pork products. The food is delicious, very old school. We travel from Mission Viejo regularly for their food. Again it’s a small “hole in the wall” “mom and pop” place.

The way we found this place was we went to eat at another restaurant in the same strip mall and saw a long line of locals going out the door and down past several other stores. You could see the duck, chicken, pork ribs and belly hanging in the window. As fast and the cook brought them out to hang, people were buy up the succullent meats.

So you gotta stop by and buy some of their meats and other dishes to bring home

“I just bought some roast pork and roasted duck at this Hao Vi place yesterday 2/24/2024. Their food were very good as they advertised. The service was very nice and pleasant. Severs and cashier are very friendly and courteous. Definitely I will come back anytime when I am going to O.C.“

“Went to Bandera on my birthday which was March 15 ,2024 and I had the Filet Minion with broccoli and mash potatoes, Also a glass of refreshing white champagne. Then for dessert I had a delicious chocolate dessert, with whip cream and a leaf mint on it . Tasted like it had a little alcohol in it . Our waiter was very nice , sweet , always asking if our meal was good and how everything is going. I forgot the waiters name but he’s very tall , about 6’6 .“

Worth the price but get ready to spend about 100 to 150 for 1 to 2 people. Again... delicious. They dont have many decorations and the tables are a lil cramped for tall pepple.
