“Oh boy, how strange. So this is a restaurant/bar associated (I think….?) with a theater. Didn’t know that, so now you know if you didn’t. It’s on the second floor of the shopping area.

I’ll cut to the chase and say I’d recommend this for a lunch/snack, without question. Lots of options for various appetites. My wife and I split the poke nachos and calamari, both of which we enjoyed. Service was very fast (we also ate around 1:00 on the 4th of July; wasn’t very busy) and I have no complaints about any of that.

Only complaint was the music was about 30% too loud while we were here. We did not ask to be accommodated so I won’t really call it a foul. It’s a holiday weekend regardless.

Oh, and the menu isn’t permanent; it rotates. So if you see something in a photo, it may not be here. Personally I enjoy a rotating menu but I was a tad disappointed to not have the sushi I saw.“

“Me and my hubby been docking boats or ferry-hopping our bikes to Balboa saloon since the seventies. Half the year we live in Newport, half Montana-where whiskey still hollers your name out there. This here's our bar, our heartbeat. Fourth we light it up, holidays on lock, pool tables bruised from our elbows, salt and lager thick as perfume. Ensenada-Newport race? Honey, we command this place like pirates. The Owner finally did somethin' right-floor don't grab my flip-flops, somebody's moppin'! Jeff's still king behind the bar, new gals laugh real, pour cold, TVs sharp as knives. Only hitch-get Cruisers to wing it over so we quit dodgin' Death Trap Balboa Boulevard. Five stars, fat tip, and girl-we're bringin' every neighbor, every sunburned neighbor's dog, every salty soul we love down here to share the buzz we just crashed into.“

“Visiting from Utah and first thing I wanna say is they are super friendly and the food is delicious! It’s such a vibe in there! My kids enjoyed the chicken Quesadilla! My husband and I got a burrito! Had such a fun experience here and very affordable 💕“

“Great place to chill by the beach. Had the meatball sandwich. The meatballs were on Hawaiian rolls which tasted fantastic. Only complaint is its not enough, especially when it tastes that good.
Service was.as expected, bar is very welcoming as it's always been. The back patio was comfortable setting, benches etc. Come for some good food, especially if you want drinks.“
