“Always love coming to Salt & Straw for some tasty unique ice cream flavors. If you're a foodie, you gotta check out the flavors that Salt & Straw puts out! I came here with a group of 4 and our six month old (just along for the ride) after grabbing dinner in Laguna Beach. We got lucky in getting here while the line wasn't huge...our group had fun trying a bunch of flavors before placing an order. We had 4 split single scoops. I'm a personal fan of the Honey & Lavender classic flavor, but I know it's not everyone's thing.It was about $32 for 4 ice creams, which is certainly on the higher-end side, but a single scoop is huge and it's a good value for their house made delicious flavors. Certainly recommend trying this Portland, OR original gem that has made its way down to Southern California.“
“Ordered the legendary Balboa Bar! It was busy but not overly crowded and there's plenty of community seating in the little shopping area. Service was quick and excellent. The bar was delicious and so fresh--it's also MASSIVE! They also don't skimp on the toppings so it can end up being pretty dense! Recommend sharing!“

“I could have cried tears of joy. It is nearly impossible to eat dessert with my family being that I am gluten free and dairy free and they are not. Enter Milk & Cookies!! I did an actual happy dance. The dairy free vanilla ice cream with the gluten free chocolate chip cookie was outstanding. I understand the rave reviews and my only complaint is that there isn't one right by my house! lol“
“This little shop is so cute, they have frozen yogurt with topping of your choice, candy apples, and chocolate galore. The chocolate is so good. I definitly reconmend. Parking is a little difficult because of all the people and you have to park on street but trust me it is worth it. Prices are great.“
“No trip to Balboa Island is complete without stopping and getting a frozen banana and occassionally some ice cream here. The banana’s are big enough to share and have a variety of delicious flavors. Highly recommended.Parking: Finding a nearby parking spot can be rough, especially on the weekend.“

“This is such a fun place to grab a treat with friends. I got the cinnamon dipped banana, and it was okay. If I were to go back I would get chocolate, or add on some more toppings. “The chai latte was so so good, and the orange cranberry muffin was the best I've ever had. The shop is small, simple and clean. The staff was kind and considerate, especially when asking for recommendations. Perfect quick grab by the pier :)“
“ice cream was not bad but it is a little lacking on flavour. I would go for the thicker ice creams such as chocolate or coffee. I got the one with cookie dough and my husband got the coffee one. Those were better than the other samples we tried.“
“Frozen chocolate dipped bananas are all that and more.Everyone was happy with the treats they picked out . Great verity of items at a little pricey but The Balboa island is everything you think it is. A tourist trap and still so good! Definitely recommend trying this spot if your nearby and looking for some cold.“
“Locals know the Best Frozen Bananas on Balboa Island.Better than Dads or Sugar and spice.Sorry - No old school nostalgia but definitely best Bananas and Fro Yo. We’ve tried them all for years.Tutti Frutti actually waits for their Bananas to ripen before freezing. So they are sweet. No tart frozen green bananas here.Heath bar topping is our favorite topping.“
“Handel's is always so good and their ice cream is amazing. It's fun ordering at the window and seeing how much ice cream they have! I always switch up my order but I've never ordered anything that wasn't delicious. They have multiple locations in OC so it's always fun stopping by a new location.“

“I bought an ice cream and it was one of the best soft served ice creams I've tried. Then later I bought a cheeseburger, I had to wait a little but it was worth it cause the burger was super good, I also tried some of they're chili cheese fries, they had too much chili and too little cheese but that was to my personal preference. Overall really good, Highly recommend“

“Love this place! I’m dairy-free and this is an awesome place bc they have a dairy free option. There’s only 3 down sides. One is has synthetic dyes, two they need more dairy free options, and three they need more gluten free options. Other than that, the place is awesome!!“
“This was my first time coming here I got the iced Matcha latte with oat milk half sweet it was really good it had a unique taste that I haven't tasted anywhere else I also tried the blueberry muffin it was so good very fresh . The customer service here was great the employee who took my order was very kind and patient the location is nice it's right next to the beach very clean inside with outside seating the prices are great If your looking for a good coffee place with good pastries I recommend going here.“
“I was very sad when the location at the triangle closed. Happy to see that there is another location in Costa Mesa This one isn't as busy as the one in Irvine which I like. Must try flavors: Cookie Monster and Ube Brownie. Always get the milkshake. You can freeze the leftovers and enjoy the ice cream the next day when you get full.“
