“This is dim sum for takeaway. The portions are large but so are the prices (and even more so). The soup dumplings (XLB) had no soup but the pork and shrimp shumai were very good. The tripe stew with tendon was good and spicy. The shrimp noodle roll had only 1 shrimp (rather than the more usual 2) in each roll. The sweet dessert dim sum also fell short.“

“There’s a good assortment of food that is well priced! Service is speedy and kind. I’ve heard it can get really busy over the weekend, and for my first time visiting I can see why! As soon as I entered the restaurant, it was bustling with life in a very beautiful way. I’m glad I got to catch up with a friend here for lunch on a weekday (that’s how you avoid the line). “We’ve been going to Capital Seafood for MANY MANY YEARS now and just realized I haven’t made any reviews yet! Well, here it goes… we so love this place! We always go during dimsum hours and we love their dimsum choices! The foods are all amazing and first class!!! The service is even better! Our drinks are constantly filled and they always check if there’s anything else we need. Their manager will also go around and help serve! Eventhough we live an hr away from Irvine now, we still make sure we go to this place at least once a month! Excellent food and VIP service!“

“1. Nice seating area whether inside or outside
2. Clean kitchen you can see through how the chefs prepare the food
3. Generous portions more suitable for bigger parties of people so you can share the food together
4. They served the rice before the appetizer. They served it on its own and 10 minutes later the served the orange chicken. The rice ended up cold while we were waiting. I got disappointed because i like the food to come in gradually starting with appetizers .....
5. The shrimp noodle tastes good but you shouldn't expect so many shrimps pcs in the dish.
6. Check out their menu before you drive to super dumplings. Many chinese dishes i like were not available on the menu like the chicken corn soup, chicken cashewnuts, sweet and sour shrimps.

Overall it is worth a try.“

“I go here because there's almost never a line for dim sum. Their selections are pretty decent. Prices are pretty good. There were 8 of us and our bill was barely $140. Not bad for a group of hungry fellas. The service is very friendly. Never got any attitude or cold shoulder. They are ready to bring us whatever we order.“

“The food at this small restaurant was out of this world!🤯 we ordered everything the waitress recommended and took food home for days. They are known for their soup dumplings and they were meaty with a good broth. I will go back every chance we get.“

“Omg if I could give this place 10 stars I would. The environment is very welcoming. Classy and elegant but not too much where you feel underdressed. The food is so good!!! We had the chicken fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, and the pork soup bao. The rice was flavorful and fluffy with the right amount of fresh cut chicken. The sweet and sour chicken had that classic crunch with the perfect amount of sweetness. Just enough sweet and sour sauce to not overwhelm your mouth. The pork soup bao was amazing. When you put it in your mouth the bao burst with the soup and the flavors of pork and the right amount of broth.

Also I note that we have a small child not only did they give him his own sweet and sour chicken FOR FREE, but also gave him his own small children’s silverware.

The staff was on top of anything we needed and that wasn’t much. They made sure to cater to every need even the needs we didn’t know we needed.

Highly recommend! This place honestly should be in a tour guide or magazine. Like seriously so good!“

“Really fresh chicken salad with fish sauce and homemade fresh chili sauce to give extra flavor and depth to your spring chicken salad. Then pair that a wonderful bowl of hot fresh congee soup with Cantonese donuts made hot and fresh here daily. Of course you still have to try their signature Banh Bao made with delicious pork and egg filling too. Everyone here has been working hard for over 20 years and the bakery is still a family tradition among the locals here and most customers are over 70 years old so they know a thing or two about what tastes good and what doesn’t taste right. Come and enjoy the food and friendly atmosphere and hospitality of the new Golden Tray bistro and bakery here in Beautiful Westminster across from Asian Garden Mall.“

“I still don't understand how a white man could open such a healthy and delicious Chinese restaurant! The flavours are so good, his dumplings are made of chicken, and although they are very delicately made, it's hard to tell they are made of chicken. Now for the food. The rice was the best tasting item we got. Lots of the food lacked flavor which I’m not used to in Asian cuisines because I live in the Bay Area and we have phenomenal Asian food. “Had a great meal at Mama Lu’s Dumpling House! We ordered the juicy pork dumplings, Shanghai rice cakes, clams with basil, and honey basil pork chop. Everything was flavorful and came out hot and fresh. The juicy pork dumplings were a must-try, and the Shanghai rice cakes had the perfect chewy texture. The clams with basil were fragrant and delicious, and the honey basil pork chop was a great combination of sweet and savory. Lots of good options on the menu, and everything was perfect for sharing. Would definitely come back to try more dishes!“

“I ate here and I I flew 2,500 miles from Orlando, FL to Westminster, CA on a business trip and after 2 delays at LAX I finally got home at 2AM and I just woke up and had to tell everyone if you're in town remember to stop by Tan Kim Su on the corner of Bolsa Ave and Ward St!

Seeing the large selection of Vietnamese, Chinese, and Korean restaurants in Westminster/Garden Grove is dizzying. In Orlando we're only a 3 mile strip. Over there from Brookhurst to Bolsa it seems every intersection has 4 corners and 4 strip malls to eat the 4 major Vietnamese categories: banh mi, banh cuon, pho, and ca phe. A lot of them are humble and low key. There is a low key mom and pop charm associated with eating the plain 2010s wood interior with a slightly sticky floor, mismatched ceiling panels, haphazardly painted ceiling speakers, dusty television sets and window frames that haven't been dusted in who knows how long.

You will find many of those places but you can just not find an experience like Tan Kim Su. Big, spacious. grand, white. Luxury. Amazing crab and lobster tank view.

The fried rice was amazingly crisp. The egg noodles were very fresh. It was very clean tasting compared to most places.

It was busy noisy and lively! I came specifically Sunday December 14 around 12:00pm in Cali time. There was a line out the door. I worked restaurants before the pandemic. Some people will down vote your restaurant both if they think you have too few customers and especially if you have a lot of customers! If the sight of a packed, noisy, and busy restaurant scares you more than an empty one, there is probably nothing I can say to convince you. But look at the pictures this place was packed and alive and people are out having the time of their life with the mountains of food on the tables. If you like piece and quiet, maybe not at the hour I went. Look at the line of the door. People want to be here. And I can see why. They certainly aren't in line to ask talk about their 401ks on a Sunday.

And to top it off the owner in red came by our table to make sure everything was going well and it was with our group and associates. I watched she was working there alongside the staff, bussing, moving plates, even serving. She was energetic and charming as expected of any successful hospitality business owner. I once read in a book: people who treat you like they were expecting you/ready for you/waiting for you are the people you want to be around.

I could go on but I won't. But I could. Let me just end with this, if you are in the Westminster area on weekend travel like myself, time and food are precious. Each day you are probably not going to visit more than 3 restaurants (except many dessert places like che or ice cream or smoothie). If you are going to eat somewhere, make it worth it. It's not even that far from Phuoc Loc Tho and instead of eating street food in a gloomy tiny food court with weird drifters talking to themselves you could be enjoying life to its fullest.
