The house Chili-Garlic sauce, is to die for, I wish I could take some with me.
The Har Gao is EXCEPTIONAL, the amount of shrimp packed in there is unbelievable. The wrapper is the best I've had, it just melts in your mouth
The pan fried Chive cakes, loved the texture
Chicken Feet...yumm, just try it, you won't be disappointed 😋
The steamed fermented rice sponge cake was very interesting.

“We’re visiting the area as tourists and randomly stumbled upon this dim sum restaurant nearby. To our surprise, the food was really good! Everything tasted great, the prices were reasonable, and the place had an authentic Hong Kong local vibe. Such a pleasant surprise and definitely worth a visit!“

“This is a very small dim sum place, one two table for 4 person, and 2 tables for 2. So maximum only 12 people can dine it. However, the dim sum here is one of the best we have had. Siu mai was rich in flavor and meaty. Stick rice and cheong fun were both top notched. Xiao longbao was juicy too. Due to the small dining area, I imagined it will be difficult at peak hour. Or you just need to take out. But if you do take out, the dim sum may not taste as good. Dilemma. But we were very happy with the food and service.“

“This is my first time trying Five Star Seafood Restaurant at the San Gabriel Hilton Hotel. I did not try their dim sum, so this review is for the banquet dinner only. I attended a banquet dinner event last week. The venue was nice, and it was very spacious inside. Most dishes tasted delicious and flavorful, and my favorite dishes were the lobster, steamed fish, abalone, veggies (bok choy), and chicken the most. The portions were a decent size. The service was not bad, but it could be better.“

“It is a drive for me, but sooo worth it. Ni c e selection of dimsum, I always order the BBQ pork bun, siomai, shrimp hargow, egg custard, and many more. Most of what I order I don't remember the names (except the ones mentioned) because they have so many items to choose from. Cleaner than most dimsum Ive been to before. Prices have gone up (a little) since Covid, but the flavor has not changed. A once a month treat for me and the kids or whenever I watch Disney's BAO. And... they take cards now, not just Cash. Yeay!!“

“This is my go to place for pickup and go dim sum. They don't speak a ton of English but they try. The food is always good and generally moderately priced. I love the seaweed rolls as well as the ham sui gok. Most issues you can't go wrong. If you want no nonsense dim sum that you can just grab and go this is a great place. They do have sit-down traditional dim sum style but it's pretty crowded and the place isn't very big.“

Ever since the Mandarin Noodle House in Monterey Park closed down, I’ve been searching for a decent beef noodle soup to scratch my itch and while I’ve found a few pretty good places in the SGV, Prince Dumpling has the beef noodle soup and so much more. Literally everything I’ve had on their menu is delicious. I can’t think of a single dish or appetizer I tried that didn’t blow me away. I’m so thankful I found this place and my family is too. “Their steamed small meat buns (fermented‑dough xiao long bao) are really tasty, tiny and satisfying. The boiled dumplings are also great, with juicy broth inside.

“WOW where should I even begin?
I was honestly blown away by how delicious everything was!!

We randomly stumbled upon this Dim Sum House while looking for an early morning breakfast. The order was simple, Har Gao, Rice Roll, Bean Curd, and a cup of Vietnamese Iced Coffee.

When we got there, our food was ready for pickup, yet it was still piping hot. Upon checking the content, we can't help but start eating them because they look so good. The size was well portioned, and for the price, I would say it was a decent deal for an amazing meal.

A small tip for the drink, if you like a rather bitter coffee, make sure you ask for less sweetness, but for us it was just right! Can't wait to have this for breakfast again ☺️“

“I’ve eaten here before and really enjoyed the food, so I was surprised to find the restaurant closed today. There wasn’t any notice explaining why, so I’m not sure what’s going on. Does anyone know the reason or when it will reopen? I’ve attached a photo in case it helps others.“

“This dim sum restaurant inside a hotel has an elegant, upscale feel. I enjoy the quieter atmosphere, which makes it a relaxing place to eat. The dim sum is beautifully made and delicious. The only downside is that it costs more than a typical Chinese restaurant, but I still enjoy coming here.“

“It’s a traditional Cantonese dim sum place where it smells like dim sum, noisy and loud with minimal services. It’s for eating small portions and drinking tea, so of course their tea will be reviewed also.

“After coming to this spot with my partner, this spot has become one of my go to spots for to go type dim sum. They provide all the dim sum that you would find in regular dim sum restaurants including the signature dishes like shumai, har gow, cheung fun, chicken feet, etc.

Staff here is friendly and quick. Even though English is not some of the staffs languages, they do their best and understand pretty well.

The dim sum is as you expect from most places. Although this place is a bit cheaper than your usual sit down restaurant, food can differ at bit. I found that the chicken feet was a bit soggy and not fresh but it could be a anomaly from the order. The buns here are pretty sizeable and well made when it's fresh.

One thing to note is that there's a $1 extra charge for credit cards if your order is below $20.

Portions here are identical to your usual dim sum restaurants which is nice for a takeout spot. Super quick and convenient for a place that's to go and at a affordable price. This is the spot to visit if you want standard dim sum to go at an affordable price.“

“I grew up eating here and the food is still so tasty. I love coming here for family dinners. It’s perfect for sharing and trying so many dishes. I enjoyed the stir fried veggies, oyster clay pot, crab fish maw soup and beef chow fun. The servers are very friendly and the restaurant is very spacious.“

“Mama Lu’s never fails :) this restaurant was the perfect choice for my family dinner gathering. The food and taste remaines as consistent as their original store in monterey park. All their dishes are served in round table family style dining, which encouraged us to share and socialize at the same time. They offered wide selections of chinese/asian staple dishes like Xiao Long Bao, which was my must have when I visited this restaurant! We also ordered Singapore Stir Fry Vermicelli (soo delicious with that fire work flavor), Beef Wrap (crunchy on the outside with delicious fillings inside), Spicy Wontons drenched in chilli oil (yummm), Seaweed Fish, Peking Roasted Duck (my second favorite!!) I loved how fast their dishes come out by one so we didnt have to wait for too long. There was also ample parking spots at the dedicated parking lot next to this restaurant. “Wow! Meat pies from heaven in a mini- mall off N Garfield Avenue. Everything here is great. Not a sit down place as such, since it's really small and they only have a few tables, but I'm sure you could eat in if you wanted to (they have a short menu) - but it's not really a restaurant atmosphere - more of a small hole in the wall family run takeout, with Grandpa making dumplings by hand at a table when I was there. There seems to be very little English spoken here. Very delicious and authentic - I'll be back!“

“I will be back but I won't order number 22 next time. It's the traditional house ramen but the pork came with the skin that looks like chewing gum. The seasoning was great. The noodles were cooked just right and had a good consistency. They could have added a little more bean sprouts. The claim of authentic and exotic regional cuisine is largely delivered.
Of the dishes we tried:
Squab (young pigeon) was on special offer at $9.99 and recommended.
Poached chicken is above average.
Dough Dumpling in chicken soup is exclusive, good to fair.
Both eel hot pot rice and blanched goose intestines are limited by the fact that they are previously frozen, so are a shadow of what could have been. On their own they're good to very good.
Prices are very reasonable.
On the whole will return and firmly recommended.
Many dishes not available elsewhere, so it's an adventure.“

“Quick, polite service and carts move around. Dim sum 4 plus on weekends. Eight steamers came to 50 plus tax and tip. Servers get for you what’s not in the carts yet if it’s in the kitchen. 2/person tea charge. Lobsters for 16.99 are very small though and 29.99 crab deal also not big. Duck special is alright but is worth two stamps. Place is packed on Sunday and waited about five minutes for a table.“
