“Regardless of how many new boba places will open up, TP Tea will always have a soft spot in my heart. My first TP Tea experience happened at their Cupertino storefront and I remember how crazy and wild the line was for that grand opening. It’s crazy to think there’s over 5 locations for the Bay Area now. Woohoo!! Now, onto the drinks! I am a HUUUUGE fan of their wintermelon Tieguanyin tea. I know, it’s a simple drink that’s really hard to mess up, but for some reason, the way it’s brewed at TP Tea reigns supreme in my eyes. I also like the touch of Tieguanyin tea. Fun fact: I never knew or heard of Tieguanyin until coming across TP Tea! If you like a blend of aromatic tea notes with a hint of sweetness from wintermelon, I cannot recommend this drink enough. However, if you’re in the mood for a milk tea, I highly recommend the strawberry milk tea! It has a nice blend of milk and fragrant tea, with the acidity and sweetness of REAL strawberries. And if you really wanted to make any drink a winner, you’re going to want to add QQ noodles in your drink! I don’t know what makes it so good, but it’s definitely chewy and fun to have in your drink. This is a “no-frills” boba/milk tea vendor. Not in the “hole in a wall” sense (very clean, minimalist deco), but the options are fairly limited. Most of their products are based on “high mountain” or “mushu dragon oolong”, if I am remembering these names correctly. No “pudding” or “Oreo”, etc…

The quality is incredible. And it is consistent. The milk tea options vary from basic to flavors including black sesame and almond. REAL black sesame, REAL almond. They even have a lavender milk tea that has mildly floral and not overwhelming taste. None of these artificial colors either. The milk tea uses real (powdered) milk, so it is not diluted and full of stabilizers that affect quality.

The fruit teas are also wonderful, for something milder. Again, the flavors taste true to their namesakes, and I’ve had almost all. Recommend the basil seeds for your fruit teas! Most of my caffeine for work comes from this shop. Cannot recommend enough.“

“THIS IS MY FAVORITE BOBA PLACE! I can tell there’s an emphasis on quality. Especially with the increased price of bobas nowadays, I expect all boba places to have this level of quality. This is well worth the price. I love the presentation of the boba drinks. Each of the drinks are made with individual tea bags that are sourced from sources that I’d say is noticeably different from any other boba place.

The service is kind and incredibly professional. What other boba place allows you to taste the boba and get another if it is not up to your standard? Each person here is dressed nicely and allows you to enjoy boba in a way like no other. They really keep the whole place with a pristine level of care.

“The place is full of cute stuff and a a lot of opportunities to take photos with dolls and cuteness. One can find them self immersed in doll collecting here. The service is polite and friendly. The service was fast and the food was savory with a light on taste buds. I was very satisfied with the delivery on the soft on sweet goodness.“

“Tucked inside the Irvine Marriott, YNK Speakeasy is a cozy, stylish hideaway that feels more like an upscale living room than a bar. I came with five friends to celebrate my birthday, and we ordered just about everything: Smoked Old Fashioned ($21), Cactus Club ($18), Chakai Kyushikis ($27!), Momoe ($27!), Airbuzz ($18), Whiskey Sour ($18), and Smoke & Mirrors ($18). We also grabbed churro bites and a cookie skillet, which were tasty finger food options.

The drinks? Fantastic. Creative, well-balanced, and worth the hype. But with some cocktails priced at $27, the prices are on the steeper side, even for Orange County. That makes YNK a “special occasion” stop, not your regular Friday night spot.

The vibe is intimate, with comfy couches and high-tops, and the staff was warm and welcoming. One even shared that the menu rotates every few months, which is reason enough to return.

“Right after the Sanrio store, we came here for drinks. They had a few specials. Buy 6 drinks, get 1 free. Buy 1, get the same drink for $1. Or buy a drink and pay x for dessert.

I wanted two different drinks so none of those deals worked for us. I ended up with Uji Matcha Milk Tea and it was so bold, strong, and earthy. I loved it. Kept me wired all day.

The kiddo got strawberry yogurt and she loved it. We loved it too. It was fruit creamy and refreshing.“

“Red straw is actually great. High quality ingredients and most importantly, MANY decaf options, which is what I am always looking for. Not just for myself, but my young son as well who will not be getting a caffeinated drink. The only thing I really wish most tea places had were kids sizes! “Not sure why this place has so many bad reviews. I just encountered the sweetest lady who let me try my drink before she sealed it because I was concerned about it being too sweet. I got a mango jasmine tea with 0 sugar and she waited for me to taste it before adding more sugar. What a gem! The tea was also very yummy, with fresh mango purée. I would return for sure.“

The Longjin cheese cap tea is delicious and is the low caffeine tea option I need. I was planning come back long term just for this drink.

But I discovered recently that it's no longer on the menu. This would have been a five star review for the Longjin tea alone.

I would highly recommend others to try the Longjin tea if/when it is back for it strikes a perfect balance of tea flavor, bouquet and caffeine.“
