“I shop at the Viktor Benes in Manhattan Beach and love it! The staff is friendly and helpful and the cakes are as delicious as they are gorgeous IF they are special ordered. Love the princess cake, Bavarian lemon, coconut, mango mousse, pear and almond pastry, etc. One star off because I don't like their chocolate cakes (not very rich) and the one time I bought a ready made cake from the display case it was stale.“
“They have vegan icecream there with silk almond milk! I put pecan, almond, peanut and graham crackers additionally and it was great! They don’t have vanilla but only chocolate flavor so perhaps they should keep vanilla flavor as well!Anyways, it was a pleasant experience there! :)“
“Conveniently located in the heart of Irvine, it’s our goto shop for good ice cream cake. The staff is quick and friendly and it’s always stocked with fan favorite. We got their Strawberry passion cake and it feeds six people nicely and great for birthdays. It kept well in the fridge until opening. Plenty of parking and the near by grocery store is a good place to pick up flowers and balloons.“
“I called when the shop already closed and the baker told me to call back after 30mins so he can clean up a bit. The service is on top tier he said that he tried to read the phone manual just to find my phone number. How sweet he is. I dont know about cake sizes so I said i want 8" for 6people and he stop me and told me i should get 6' instead since 8' is too big. I surprised, every business try to up sale but they only want the best for their customers. Huge respect and the strawberry shortcake.... Chef kiss do i have to explain more? Go get the dam cake“

“I came across Shadi's yelp page when I was searching for a bakery to make my wedding cake. I noticed that the options were limited in the area but came across Shadi's page which showcased really nice looking cakes therefore I explored more. I spoke to Shadi briefly, and then followed her ordering process. We had a very intimate wedding of 50 people in total therefore cake tasting was not an option. This meant I'd have to take a risk. I decided to take a chance on a Shadi cake. Let me tell you, I'm so happy I took that chance. The cake was gorgeous and exactly what I wanted. I ordered a double tiered chocolate cake, with vanilla whip cream and fresh raspberry center and a vanilla buttercream frosting. The cake was moist, fresh, and absolutely delicious not too rich or dense! The whipped cream and fresh fruit was very light with the perfect amount of sweetness. Our guests raved about the cake, everyone loved it. Shadi is incredibly kind and sweet herself! Thank you, Shadi, you are so talented and we are very happy with the outcome“
“First time trying Handel's and I completely get the hype! There are so many flavors that it's kind of overwhelming to choose. I went with Banana Cream Pie which tasted just like the real thing in ice cream form! My husband loved his rocky road. Love the generous scoops! There are some tables outside where you can enjoy your ice cream. I'll be back to try more flavors!“
“Was looking for an exceptional butter cream cake for my wife's birthday. Started searching on Google for bakeries and Penelope's caught my eye. I stopped by the shop to get a sense of what they were about and spoke with Penelope's husband who was so passionate about his wife's cakes, I ended up ordering an 8' vanilla butter cream cake. Per their instructions I let the cake sit out for what turned out to be a little over 5 hours before serving and I have to say, this is, without a doubt, the best cake I've ever had and it's not even close. There is really nothing that you can't love about this place.“
